  1. I have looked at this thread like 5 times... Love the car.
lol, Thanks man. I love it too and i always said i would never get rid of it. Its a very fun car to race. I dont think its gonna sell anyways. I just thought i would put it out there and see what happens.

I should just go ahead and send it to pat martian shop and let him get started on the new 9 inch irs i got picked out with those 3.73's.

    http://www.currieenterprises.com/cestore/productsRE.aspx?id=3498

  2. Just a little info. The car that holds the title for fastest v8 ss fc record went 9.30. He changed the rear end set up to a 8.8 4 link with a 3.73 gear. Nothing else changed and off the trailer it went 8.70!

For those that dont know, the only gear for TII rears are 4.10 in the fc model. With a 27-28 inch tall tire it just runs out of power at the 1000ft.

So with a rear gear change this car would go faster.

EDIT: I just looked and the car is running 8.04 now! looks like he went back to 4.11's but put a 29.5 on it.

    #2 on the list.

My car is #12 but its an old time and never ask to update it because some other racers found it and you know me...Mr. no time..lol

Im sure im forgetting something but i have tons of build pics for serious buyers.

This car was built to NO TIME grudge race/street race. and be made to look slower then it is. The car get a lot of attention where ever it goes.

There is nothing wrong with this car. Im just done with it and racing. Im a die hard street/grudge racer and things are changing. Im getting tired with the scene is all. Im moving on to try something else out.

I also have a brand new 2012 enclosed 8.5x20 that i would let go with the car for 5000.00 more.

Car has been 9.49@136mph. world record is 9.30

NOTE: This car would not pass a tech to go this fast. Dont get me wrong its safe but not to nhra standards. Most tracks dont even look twice at the car and have never been told to slow it down.

I am very firm on my price. I have way more invested in this build. Im not hurting for money and it can sit in my garage for all i care. just to let the low ballers know.

If you are interested please call me at 937-215-5403. 6am-10pm est m-su I WILL NOT talk in emails. I will not ship. I can travel some but for a closed deal.

    THANK YOU !

  5. I had no clue.

Absolutely. Marion was our home track for many years and I actually organized the first no tree race there around 1997. Bill and Shelby loved it. Unfortunately they didnt keep up the place so we quit going. I have not been up there for many years. Mike is running it now isnt he?

Really thats cool. Mark is running it now.

  6. Im sure Marion would be down for something like that. It would be nice if Trails would do it though.
come out to marion sometime. Our amount of cars are no where near TNL but all it takes is people to show up. At one time we was doing pretty good and we was getting a decent car count.

Im clueless as to what happened last year because it just kinda stopped.

This year ive changed some things around and added some classes so there would be prize money up for grabs. So we will see how it goes. that is if we could ever get an event in. Its rained out the 1st two events, next one is aug 10th

  7. I would be down to try this out. Sounds like a lot of fun.
These kinds of events can be a blast for the average street racer. I wish we had more around this area that supported N/T street style racing at a track.
  8. Well its gonna do 1 of 2 things. Kill the car count or bring out the TRUE street cars! I myself would like to see the true street cars start showing up.

The way its set up now is just wrong on a lot of levels. Its a street car event. Anyone can buy tags and insurance for a titled car.

Then drop a $30,000.00 race motor in it and call it a street car. All that takes is money. Lets face it these guy do not drive them like they say they do for a fact.

#1 If they did we would see them out driving around. I rarely see an outlaw 8.5 or 10.5 just out cruising around.

#2 valve springs along with many other parts on a motor like those do not like street use and they would be changing springs 2-3 times a year.

#3 when all else fails, Just tell everyone its a street car and go run street events.

So where does a guy like juciedh22, wagner, me and who ever else has a drivable street car fit in?

I don't have a $30,000.00 race motor and damn sure cant afford one. My car is to fast for the prince class and is truly suited for a KOTS events but when you have outlaw cars running a street event it just ruins the TRUE street thing.

Don't get me wrong. Those are bad ass cars but they have races for those type of cars. They're called Outlaw 8.5, outlaw 10.5, extreme 275 etc. I don't see any street in that.

If you look at our ODRA rules http://www.ohiodragracers.net/class-rules.html and yes i know there is many but only because we want it fair and still be true N/T heads up racing street style event.

TNL would be bad ass if they just changed a few more things around to keep it a street thing.

One step would be to make a outlaw street class for those that just buy tags and insurance.

It would also help to add a few rules about mufflers, tires etc.

  9. But you aren't getting it...there's no reaction time to look at since it's off hand drop, there's no RT on your slip...it doesn't exist, first thing you get is 60' time. What your saying to do doesn't work at this event. This isn't bracket racing.
not true. all my slips have a reaction time on them. is it right? no.
  10. Looks like my last tnl for me until i get some QTP's. They changed some rules around last night. No trailers on the property, you must drive in now. No generators or cooling between rounds. You must return to the lanes after your win.

Im glad they changed it around a little and aim it at TRUE street cars..

  11. Not sure, I have not had a chance to put the new trans and rear in the car. I was running 12.60's at trails on the old set up. I have a 9inch with a spool, performat built level 3 trans and a 4200 stall that needs to go in the car.
knight is 13 and up. If you think you can kill the arm drop without having a red light then you might have a chance in prince. Remember its fun and the fastest car dont always win.

Hell look at me, im racing against 8 second cars and i know im not gonna win.

  12. That is what I thought, so if I want to run Knight I will have to really slow the car down, if I want to run Prince I will have to pick up some time, if I want to run King my credit cards will hate life.
How far from 11.50 are you?
