  1. Here is an idea, never go anywhere ever except where you are supposed to go. Point A to B in the fastest route. Don't even look out your side windows at other's neighborhoods. ever. In fact, don't leave home, sell your car, work from home, and have your groceries delivered.

Here's an idea. Go drink some bleach.

  2. Speed bumps reduce the effectiveness and response times of emergency response vehicles, and in some cases can disable them. If you were in an ambulance, would you want the driver to hit an invisible speed bump that tore the axle out of the ambulance?

This is a terrible argument, and not an actual solution to a problem.

What solution would you like? Some bright neon signs and reflective tape all over the speed bumps so you can temporarily slow down the. Speed right back up to a speed over the posted limit? Would you like for somebody else to be responsible the next time you make a mistake? I drive a car that has less ground clearance than probably 90% of the cars on here and daily it and have had no issues. Maybe I'm just getting lucky?

  3. I don't know if there is any way I can like this post more. you don't want to support it? don't give any money. It's a simple premise. I don't think anybody is confused about this being not charity - but since when do you have to give money only to charity?

People think these shows are big budget and have the money to spend to get other people involved but it is not the case. the TV show usually doesn't make any money for the stars directly. They make their money off merch and secondary revenue streams. Most of these TV shops are still shop 1st, and then merch retailers second and TV guys usually 4th or 5th down the list.

Point is, If you know them and like them, or maybe you just like the show and want to see a serious import car "race" a v8 car on TV, here is an opportunity to help make something happen. If not, last I checked nobody is holding a gun to your head. People have been "passing the hat" for centuries and not really for the most charitable reason.

For all the people that want to just shit on this...think in your life when you had a really good opportunity and couldn't pull it off because you couldn't get the funds together and what you would have done to do that. If you have never hard that experience maybe you just aren't trying that hard at life.

Every time you post I immediately want to cut myself.

  4. Yeah even with pretty good VSP coverage, my frames and lenses cost me around $600-800 per year AFTER insurance. Getting the laser surgery on my eyes has been one of the best things I have ever done for myself.

If you're paying that much then you don't have a good Vsp plan, sorry to say. I sell fully loaded progressives with $300 frames all day and they run the patient about $400-$450.
