  1. I guess you have to be logged into google to view pictures on Picasa/Google+... Wait, Try this one https://plus.google.com/photos/111416528613965942716/albums/5927019196674540769?authkey=CO_n-6Lj_Om7_QE
  2. Figured I'd post something more to introduce myself to the CR forums, since I've not really made it to any of the events to meet the people of CR. So this is my project S10 I started back in April.. It's a 1992 Chevy S10 that originally had a 2.8L and T5. that I've replaced with a LR4 4.8L and 4L60E. I'm lazy and don't want to spam the thread with pictures so.. Here is an album https://plus.google.com/photos/111416528613965942716/albums/5927019196674540769?authkey=CO_n-6Lj_Om7_QE it took me at least 3 months to get her running, and if you count the time to buy the parts I bought the engine in January. and made the initial plans July 2012. Parts: LR4 & 4L60E Racing Innovation Stainless shorties *sanderson copies* ECP 2-core aluminum radiator. S10V8 Poly engine mounts JTR Steam vent & set back plates. Summit fuel lines & fittings. Aeromotive Stealth 340 fuel pump Volvo fan & big ass Aluminum sheet pan. and a lot of little things. Things I've done/changed: Heat only to clear the head. Cut a small hole in the frame to access the passenger mount bolts. Moved the stock cross member back 2" Moved the rear Axle back 3/8" Custom CAI with a cheap spectre filter Added underhood fuse block Relocated battery Recessed Radiator in the coresupport. Added the Blazer center console to "support" adding the Floor shifter. Added a Bravada DIC with Homelink Other than that nothing has really changed about the exterior appearance of the truck other than the front end sits a little lower.. Still yet to do: 15x10 and 15x7 wheels, I'm leaning towards the old slotted mag wheels. Tubular control arms & coil overs New spindles to add ABS sensors ford 8.8 rearend cal-tracs and new shocks. Bigger cam, new intake, roller rockers, etc. and LOTS of body work... Think I'm just going to fix everything and go back with black. Everything on this truck was done by me... Accept the PCM flash, I don't have HPtuners and my little sister helped pull the old engine out and put the new one in.
  3. Damn and that was a pretty nice looking car. Didn't get a close look at it while I was there, but from two cars over it looked nice.
  4. http://hooniverse.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/uploads_1162-26052010235209-720x478.jpg and in that colour as well.
  5. I was out around 4ish when the older guy with the newer White Turbo Civic was on the dyno.... Damn that thing ran like SHHHHHEEEEET Way too many "mommy daddy money" kids out there for my liking.

    sawmill?

Just wondering if anyone was going to sawmill tonight even with the crappy weather. If anyone is going, ive planed to go... So my gf, hoopty and I will be up there
  8. Damn, to bad this wan't back in December 2012. an LS1 would have been WAY better than the 4.8 I got in my S10. and I paid $1,200 for it, so $1,500 for an actual 5.7l LS1 isn't bad!
  9. I'm so going, Might even try to get my turd on the Dyno.
  10. Go to Babbitt, my dad had a lot of stuff done on his race car by them a few years back. Never had any problems.
  11. Nope, Figured they wouldn't do it since there is no cat.
  12. Meh, watched the trailers and I'm not a fan of how they've done the gaming mechanics. It just seems to be over complicated and clunky. I'm more excited about getting/playing the new "Amnesia: Machine for Pigs" and Saints row IV.
  13. Or at least just refit the down pipes from the collectors. I've got ALL the pipes with the general bends needed, they just don't line up for my application. I've taken it to Three shops in the hilltop. One on East Broad had it for a good bit and well.... the exhaust didn't get done. Another place Said they would/could do it for $160, but I took it back and I was told I needed to talk to someone who wasn't there and the last place said it was going to be about $5-600 JUST to install the two down pipes. So I've got $250 worth of mandrel bent 2½ pipes and a 2in/2out Stainless muffler just sitting in my garage. In case it matters the exhaust is going on a 1992 S10 with a 4.8L LR4 V8 with 304 Stainless steal short tube headers & 2½ collectors with o2 sensors. pipe is from jegs part # 30557 kit for a 350 S10 they are standard Aluminuzed steal and is a true dual system Muffler was included with the kit and is 409 stainless. Everything from the cross member back fits Perfectly, it's just the two pipes coming off the headers going under/over the cross member. And I'm kind of "more or less" broke so somewhere that could do the two pipes for $150 or less would be GREAT... I don't even need them to install everything... just get the pipes to the muffler. Any help is appreciated & Thanks in advance.
  14. I'll deff, be out watching with my GF. But alas I don't think I'll be racing because I'm a broke ass, the truck still needs some stuff done before it hits the track... and also the only helmet I've got that is more than just DOT is my moms which is a Snell M2005 but it's also a SMALL and I'm 90% sure my truck would run at LEAST a 13.99
  15. Huh, didn't know there was any sort of "apps" for 7 for use like that. Figured it was a car flavor of Linux. Still bad ass. Wonder what my S10 would be like if I replaced my Digi-dash with a Touch screen PC "dash" Hell even a 7" tablet running ICS or JB would be pretty bad ass.
  16. Gotta ask, what OS is that thing running? It's pretty bad ass.
  17. Ahh, well engine/trans swap is out. Still though, a few mild/bolt on mods to the engine would not hurt. Keeping the outside look stock is easy, expect when upgrading the brakes. But for the wheels I think Cragers would be your best be for aftermarket Aluminum wheels that would look to be "period correct" or there is a set of 15" Slotted mag wheels on Craigslist right now for I think $300.
  18. That is.... Beautiful. I've always loved that body style WRX too. And to put a Turbo LSx in it, oh my.
  19. '71 LeMans? Meh, if it were me I'd go ahead pull the 350 and probably a TH350? replace that will a built LS-series engine and 4L60e or T56 While it was apart I'd also go ahead and do the other "chassis" mods you're talking about. But I'd go with 15x10 in the rear*if they would fit* and 15x8 in the front. But that's just me, I like the FI LS engines, and I think 15's look better on old cars... But just upgrading the 350 in it with a 4bbl & a cam would help it. and LT's are a must if the application supports them. Maybe upgrade the tranny in it? If it's a TH350 get a 700r4/4l60, overdrive and lockup TC will help a lot with fuel mileage if you drive it a lot.

    Neon- SOLD

I got a friend looking for a first car, he might be interested.
  21. I'd LOVE to go out on the 28th, If I can get the tail seal replaced on the trans and get the TCC hooked up, I might take it out... Pretty sure It'll pass tech if I clean up the wires.
  22. Just joined because "s10beast33" over on S10forum told me CR was a good place to find local meets? I dunno, I've seen some pretty nice cars driving around I'd really like to get to look at and see whats in them. But anyways I don't have much of a show piece, just a 1992 2wd RCSB S10 "Tahoe" has the usual rust, dents and makes a lot of noise going down the road. It's also got a LR4 4.8L V8 and 4L60E pulled from a 1999 Silverado. Built, not bought... with the exception of the exhaust. Nothing special really. I do plan on racing it at NTR once I get it all finished. First race I make it to will probably be the Halloween Hootout.
