  1. Been with t-mobile for years... Always had good speeds and coverage. With my old Amaze 4G it got like 13-15mbps on HSPA+ in Hilliard With my new HTC One I get http://25.media.tumblr.com/d23bd94055e099a99d1aa2ad04bcc5d2/tumblr_mz6w5vrevo1suerqbo2_250.png again in hilliard. I've had LTE everywhere I've been lately except Dublin My ONLY complaint with T-mobile is I get a lot of data disconnects. Like at first I just thought it was my old phone... but no I guess it's just the network.
  2. I guess Dyno tune it is then.... And am I missing some inside joke with the guy in the bug?
  3. The only Vehicle I have.... A 1992 S10 with a 2000 Silverado 4.8L "LR4" engine engine is all stock, PCM just has the A/C disabled, Gearing & tires changed and VATs removed.
  4. Alright I'm getting some smaller tires 255/50's form the current 225/70's and I'm going to need my PCM adjusted for the size difference So I just need somewhere that can change my tire size for me.. I know a handheld can do that, BUT I've read they will re-enable VATs when you plug'em in. The guy I originally had do it charges $75, but I can't have the PCM out for 2 weeks since it's my DD... also don't want to spend a crap-load since I don't need engine parameters changed of actually have it "tuned" I also might want to get my TCC lock-up speed lowered for better city mileage
  5. That is kind of.... just disturbing. Is this generation just going to skirt by and hope for the best? I was so excited to get my license when I was 15 that extra 6 months was just torture. When once I got my Temp I was driving everywhere, hell I even went from Groveport to Evansville, IN. But hell I learned to drive my dad silverado out at NTR when I was like 13. But then again I was fortunate enough that my parents at the time made a pretty decent living, and I also got a "free" vehicle before I could even drive. It just needed a little love..and a mostly new drive-train to run again. sure it was not what I wanted... but it was mine and I was...am still proud of my little turd. But then again... My parents worked on their own cars, My Father & I built a 10 second Trans am. My mom had a 12 second Camaro... and we always had "older" cars.. and if something broke... we fixed it, we didn't go buy a new car and NEVER did our cars go to shops to be fixed. most my friends that don't drive, have unemployed/lazy parent(s) and they themselves have no-where jobs. so yeah, I think a lot has to do with Money and their parents. and the people I do know that drive have better jobs, somewhat decent parents and have absolutely no idea how to even change a tire... literally..
  6. Hah, my truck may not look the greatest, but I'll be DAMNED if I put a nice engine in a piece of crap. Besides mine is a good 50'er and its an ongoing wip.
  7. My mom had a '96? Cherokee sport. It was a good vehicle, never had any problems out of it. and I've always liked the CJ's But that being said, isn't the FRS the RWD Scion budget sports car? Seems like a pretty legit car, 2.0 Subaru engine, rwd, and it's cheap. I'd say go for the FRS
  8. Damn fine job man. Trying to talk my dad into building a 6.0 import like a RX7, Miata, 240SX or Z Something small that would just fly down the road with a mild LQ4
  9. I've made my own sushi before, used cooked tuna and Umi and sliced cucumbers Just normal Nori you'd find and short grain "sushi" rice from Texas. Like stated above keep your hands wet while handling the rice. do thin layers, don't over pack it. and when rolling I didn't use a mat but instead got the roll started then used the palm of my hands to finish it. I also made sushi with Buffalo chicken because 'MERCA!
  10. 4.8 isn't a dog... it's good for boost builds. and does great in light weight applications it's not a bad engine, seeing as it is essentially a destroked 5.3.. In a full size I'd stick with the 5.3 or 6.0 the extra tq really helps those elephants get moving.
  11. I'd say go for a NBS Yukon/tahoe. What more need be said about the engine other than it's a LS-series As for the trucks themselves, my dad had a 2WD '01 Silverado 1500 LS Ext. cab with a 5.3 LM7. it was bought used with like 90k on it in '04? and it was a DD, drove to LA after katrina, pulled a open trailer & 1980 Trans-am to Evansville Indiana and pulled the race car from Groveport to Trails every weekend... Only issue was about 1 year after owning it the transmission started slipping while towing. other than that just normal maintenance and had to clean the MAF once. didn't get great mileage, but it was acceptable. All I can say about ford is stay away from anything with a 5r55e.
  12. Yup I'll be out again, got no other plans aside from replacing what I believe to be a bent harmonic damper and degreasing the engine. Might actually see if any of the LSx guys can identify the squeak as the crank or ??? I've cleaned all the pullies replaced the tensioner and belt but still have an intermittent squeak.
  13. Why not just make the leap and go for a real Hummer? You know the ones with a 6.2-6.6L diesel engine. I mean someone coming from a porche probably would still want to maintain the "status" image.... something a H2 DOES NOT have... it's like a rich soccer mom SUV. I Honestly don't see why anyone would want a H2 or H3 though.
  14. Might try heading over to XDA-developers. I think the only way to really block usage like that is to have root.. But I dunno
  15. I vote keep it and turn it into a LSx powered cruiser! still have plenty of power for the street, look bad ass AND get 20mpg city!
  16. Seeing as I was not able to make it to NTR. And didn't know who you were at C&C this morning, I might be out at sawmill tonight with some friends so I might not be in my piece of crap but rather a Blue Sunfire. I'll hit you up for a flyer and check out the cars :3 Not missing tomorrows race.
  17. Definitely going to be out there tomorrow watching & lookin' at the cars. GF has stuff to do, but I might have friend and her BF come along with me... Probably be out around noon. and of course I'll have my piece of shit out for every to laugh at.
  18. Unassisted, No frills, Light weight. And even the design is kind of reminding me of TVR. I LIKE IT! And the 8C also looks really nice, but a MR Turbo 4 banger... Yeah, sounds fun to me. because the 4 cylinder will rev a lot faster and a LOT higher than the V8
  19. My sisters BF gets $400 for his pieces of crap from pick-N-pull
  20. But it's not a race truck... it's just a toy/Daily Driver. according to the DIC I'm getting 19mpg back/forth to work and I'd like to keep the nice fuel mileage. Especially since the old 2.8L only got 10mpg city. I'm more or less just trying to update everything to make it a capable street car. that I could take to some Friday night street fights if I wanted. and the 8.8 is more than just a stronger axle, it's factory disk brakes and LSD.
  21. I guess you have to be logged into google to view pictures on Picasa/Google+... Wait, Try this one https://plus.google.com/photos/111416528613965942716/albums/5927019196674540769?authkey=CO_n-6Lj_Om7_QE
  22. Figured I'd post something more to introduce myself to the CR forums, since I've not really made it to any of the events to meet the people of CR. So this is my project S10 I started back in April.. It's a 1992 Chevy S10 that originally had a 2.8L and T5. that I've replaced with a LR4 4.8L and 4L60E. I'm lazy and don't want to spam the thread with pictures so.. Here is an album https://plus.google.com/photos/111416528613965942716/albums/5927019196674540769?authkey=CO_n-6Lj_Om7_QE it took me at least 3 months to get her running, and if you count the time to buy the parts I bought the engine in January. and made the initial plans July 2012. Parts: LR4 & 4L60E Racing Innovation Stainless shorties *sanderson copies* ECP 2-core aluminum radiator. S10V8 Poly engine mounts JTR Steam vent & set back plates. Summit fuel lines & fittings. Aeromotive Stealth 340 fuel pump Volvo fan & big ass Aluminum sheet pan. and a lot of little things. Things I've done/changed: Heat only to clear the head. Cut a small hole in the frame to access the passenger mount bolts. Moved the stock cross member back 2" Moved the rear Axle back 3/8" Custom CAI with a cheap spectre filter Added underhood fuse block Relocated battery Recessed Radiator in the coresupport. Added the Blazer center console to "support" adding the Floor shifter. Added a Bravada DIC with Homelink Other than that nothing has really changed about the exterior appearance of the truck other than the front end sits a little lower.. Still yet to do: 15x10 and 15x7 wheels, I'm leaning towards the old slotted mag wheels. Tubular control arms & coil overs New spindles to add ABS sensors ford 8.8 rearend cal-tracs and new shocks. Bigger cam, new intake, roller rockers, etc. and LOTS of body work... Think I'm just going to fix everything and go back with black. Everything on this truck was done by me... Accept the PCM flash, I don't have HPtuners and my little sister helped pull the old engine out and put the new one in.
  23. Damn and that was a pretty nice looking car. Didn't get a close look at it while I was there, but from two cars over it looked nice.
  24. http://hooniverse.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/03/uploads_1162-26052010235209-720x478.jpg and in that colour as well.
