  1. Double check the outside shutoff near the compressor and the circuit breaker, the compressor is on a separate one from the rest of the furnace.

If that isn't it my uneducated bet would be the start capacitor on the compressor.

  2. So I've been keeping track of Ohio's numbers for the past few days, and our state does seem to be "flattening the curve":

    4043 on 4/5

    3739 on 4/4

    3312 on 4/3

    2904 on 4/2

    2400 on 4/1

I need to do some more research and see what I can find for the days prior to 4/1.

The numbers are all listed here:

  3. Again, keep in mind that we're primarily NOT testing people who don't require hospitalization. A majority of the people sitting at home to get through it are not included in the 100,000+ cases. So when people say "20% of people who get this require hospitalization," it's not 20% of the 100,000 cases listed. Those 100,000 are the 20% of the whole.

    (As I understand it)

As confirmation I have a coworker who has all the symptoms but it's a fairly mild case so far. Even though he works in a hospital he doesn't do direct patient care so they would not order a test for him. He's quarantined at home, living in his basement actually to try not to infect the rest of his family.

  4. tennis courts a lincoln high school in gahanna were packed today. even several former osu players who turned pro were out there practicing today.

Just avoid handling other peoples balls and you aren't likely to catch anything. It's just good general life advise as well.

  5. We dont have anywhere near this kind of reaction to the flu every year, which is fair more worrisome based on numbers than this virus. This is a complete overreaction in response to something just because its clickbaity to post the horrors of a virus that we didnt know much about a few weeks ago.

We need to have equal and appropriate responses to things. If we dont, we will be crying wolf and that isn't good for anyone. Specially when something really hits us that is bad. From what we know now, this isn't it.

The problem isn't the mortality rate of the virus by itself. This issue is when you combine how infectious it is, the ability to spread while not showing symptoms, and the rate at which it causes breathing issues that require medical intervention. If the spread is completely uncontrolled the spike of infections will overwhelm the healthcare system.

So if the mortality rate is normally 2% but medical intervention is needed in 10% of cases what happens to the people that need medical help when there is no more. Then we have to start making triage decisions about who gets treated and leaving the rest to recover on their own(or likely not). This will cause a huge spike in the mortality rate.

Healthy young people, ok sure you're not going to die from it and it's just a flu. That still doesn't lessen the effect of spreading it too quickly and us losing a portion of our population measured in whole number percentages.

If we wait to try to contain it until the healthcare system is stressed then we waited about a week too long. The next much larger round of patients would already be infected and spreading it, just not showing symptoms yet.

There is no containment possible, the only goal is to slow the spread and smooth out the spike.

  6. There are 3 license levels:

    Tech - 35 questions

    General - 35 Questions

    Extra - 50 Questions

You have to pass each level to qualify for the next test, you can do multiple test on the same day assuming you pass. The questions are pulled from pools. Tech is mostly rules and regulations and very basic radio theory.

I studied for a while and did tech and general on the same day. There is quite a bit more info in Extra so i just never got back to it.

  7. We have 5 acres in Franklin. The 7 houses on our little dead end road are surrounded by Battelle Darby Metro Park public hunting land. The Metro park doesn't allow coyote hunting so there are tons of them. We even have a permanent tree stand that can be used.
  8. I am going to get shit for this but why are you worried about your credit score right now? Are you planning on buying something big in the near future? If no, then don’t worry about it.

Congrats on paying off your debt. It is an awesome feeling. Now you can pile up cash and invest. Without debt and more money you shouldn’t need to borrow so the credit score will not matter. I have one credit card and a debit card. I use the cc for online purchases and cash or the debit for everything else. My credit score is good but I am not planning on buying anything I need credit for so I am not worried about it going up or down. Good luck.

According to Credit Karma you average credit account age should be over 7 years. If you decide to buy something on credit, even if it isn't in the near future, you can't get a few 7 year old accounts in 6 months.

  9. If you want to spend less than half the cost of Michelin AS/3's and get the same performance and mileage, check out BFGoodrich G-Force Comp 2 A/S's. I had them on the Camaro and they're fucking awesome for daily grinds. They stick in the Summer better than any other all-seasons I know of for the price and rain was no issue (the three days ever that I didn't check the forecast first). No road noise at all. They are noticeably squishier in turns than racecar tires, but that's a given.

I have a set of these on the Mustangs factory wheels that I put on in winter. They've done great for an all season. On the fall really last year I ended up leading the pack down from Snowshoe in a near whiteout. Made me super happy I took the time to swap before the trip.

  10. Oh, I forgot. The only thing I hate about my S10 is Bixby. But the latest version let's you reassign the Bixby button to most other apps (not Google Assistant though), so I made it a shortcut to the camera.

Sent from my SM-G973U using Tapatalk

I'm not sure about the S10 but on my Note 8 I use an app call bxActions to remap the stupid Bixby button to Google Assistant.

  11. We have the exact same issue at PRI each year with our booth. We get set up but can't plug anything in and have to sit there for hours waiting. If you have stuff that needs loaded in via forklift you're totally fucked.

I had a friend that started a design job at a union. He walked into his office on the first day and his computer was sitting there not hooked up. So he started to put it together, someone let him know he can't do that.

He sat there for 3 weeks waiting on someone to plug his computer in.

    Efficiency FTW!

  12. Last time I looked into this I decided if I was going to do it I would do tile.

Laying floor tile is easy with a mixer for the thin set. Just find some cheap tile that isn't slippery when wet.

As long as there are no air gaps in the thin set the tile isn't as prone to cracking as you would think. Watched a video of a guy trying to bust up a section to add a lift and he was hammering the hell out of each tile before it broke. Bonus is if you did manage to break one you can chip it out and put a new one in.
