  1. Bone stock other than SLP Lid, and it has 86k miles.
  2. Ive done the drill mod to mine and have replaced the factory with a advanced special and ever since the swap its always had a sticky pedal. I just recently found that when reving the engine high the car creeps forward and not releasing the clutch. I have also done the mighty vac bleed from the M/C ive let it sit with 12lbs for a good while. Never dropped below 13lbs. so I dont think there is a leak. One of the guys at my second job said that seals in the master cylinder could be bypassing fluid. from what i read is the 01+ CMC is a better design that the 98-2000 models that did not have the sticky pedal issues.
  3. I keep hearing great things about it. Only concern I've been told is they are a pain to bleed properly and have a hard time mounting them.
  4. Before I pull the trigger and buy new I'd try to see if anyone here has a Tick Performance Clutch Master cylinder for the FBody's. I'm sick of the sticking pedal and my clutch not disengaging 100%.
  5. 7am to 12am mon-thursday 7-430pm friday. I wish i could have a 3rd shift 12hours m-f job...would actually like to take/pick up my daughter from daycare, Instead of just seeing her on the weekends.
  6. He thought about rebuilding them but everywhere he is reading that the rebuild kit has to be ordered from Garrett and its pricey, he doesnt trust the ebay kits. After doing some research it seems that the way to go is t28's from a S14 SR20. The car already has catback and larger intercoolers and boost controller, previous owner said it has larger injectors and flash tune, but not verified yet. ^^^ thanks for looking.
  7. i have a buddy who purchased a Nissan 300zx TT and the turbo's are shot. He wants to get them rebuilt but only thing he is able to find is buying new ones at $900 a piece. From what i have been able to find they are a hybrid turbo that was only put together for this specific car. Is there any options for him other than buying new for $900 a piece, or send to garrett to be rebuild for $750 a piece. He is just wanting to get the car driving without it looking like a cold start on a kenworth tractor trailer. Thanks for any help and advice.
  8. When i used to work at carmax we used Tritex off of 5th and i believe Holly, by OSU Campus, superior work.

  15. Im having this issue on my TA and its starting to irritate me. My car has developed a misfire over the week. My light came on Sunday and i scanned it at work and came up as a p0300 Random multiple misfire. Cleared the code and it did not come on till today on my way into work this morning. When i got there i scanned it with a buddys Matco Handheld scanner and came up as a p0306 Misfire on cylinder 6. When leaving work on my way to job number 2 i scanned the car again but this time with a fancy high dollar snap on scanner and it shows as the random multiple misfire and a p0161. Ive read up on the p0161 code and its a bank 2 sensor 2 sensor heater malfunction. Everything ive read on various fbody/ls1 forums is that sensor will have no effect on engine performance and is usually deleted. The car has a vibration at idle but when driving it does not feel sluggish at anyway. Ive plugged in a spark tester and im getting spark from all coils. I dont want to rule out that one maybe on its way out. Mods are SLP Lid, NGK tr55 plugs gapped at .050 MSD 8.5mm wires. Flowmaster muffler. I do know the fuel filter has never been changed and ive read they should be changed every other oil change. I know there are alot of people on here very knowledgeable on LS1's/FBody and hoping i can get insight on this. I feel as if this is something small and im over looking it. Thanks for any help/advice and sorry for the long post.

  18. So much want of the hood...the superhawk hood seems impossible to find now. GLWS
  19. thank you guys for the help/input. Im going to order the CG Citrus was here this weekend because ive seen nothing but good reviews and wash it with that. I was un aware of how strong the clear on GM cars was. Im going to continue to try and buff some scratches out and hope im able to clean it up without burning anything. Thanks again
  20. I've used a polisher and even tried by hand. I'm going to order some of the cg citrus wash this evening. The surface could be bare but when using a buffer and some rubbing compound I'm unable to get these small scratches out that should be able to come out with a medium polish. I've tried the megiars 105 compound jax wax cutting compound and 3m perfect stage 1. I've had awesome results with all three of these on other cars but it just doesn't seem to give me any results on my TA
  21. I believe they used the meguiers wax. not 100% sure. Ive tried to use a polish also. 3M perfect it machine polish is what i used. Even tried some of the JaxWax machine polish also.
  22. I need some Insight and im sure it a pretty simple answer but im having trouble finding it. Since i purchased my TA the dealership threw a coat of Caranuba wax paste on the car to "shine" it up. Since then ive tried to detail my car because I'm personally unhappy with how it looks. How can i go about removing the wax. I have read Hot water and dawn dish soap works wonders, but i have washed the car multiple times with dawn even done it up to 3 times a week and still nothing. Water will just bead right off. Some people have said just start using a cutting compound and it will remove it but it will take some time, that also has not worked either. I know there are some really good detailers in here and any info will be helpful Thank you.
