Maybe I could move the site to IIS and SQL Server. Then everyone could see what a slow website really looks like.

Actually I did a complete reinstall on a new VM. Hence the DNS change. Also went to a single server instead of separate web and db. Also moved the search/stream functionality to Elasticsearch. Also upgraded to MariaDB 10.3.

@Steve Butters and @JustinNck1 Check the activity streams and let me know whether the problem is gone or not. The indexes are rebuilding, but should be finished soon.
