  1. that thing gripped HARD at pacemakers, he was running 4.8x-4.9x 1/8 mile there IIRC
  2. not bad at all. lot's of big diesels being built nowadays
  3. briarcliff is much better, but i'm tired of it being muddy and all the horribly slow people who show up there and get in the way. indian is nice and sandy, i LOVE the sand. for most people on here, they'd enjoy indian more than briar, plus indian allows quads, unlike briar.
  4. i spoke with the area duc guy up at the show, and hands down the 1098 is badass. as i've stated before the vtwin pulls harder out of the corner and is capable of carrying more cornerspeed, however the i-4's have the top end hp advantage. there's a reason why the duc's dominate world superbike, and why the motogp bikes are almost all V-style engines. torque gets you out of the hole and going, at a certain point the hp takes over to drive you on up in the mph. it's like a 4stroke compared to a two stroke in the mx world. 4 strokes can be easier to ride but take more skill to go super fast, 2 strokes are harder to ride but rip if you can ride it properly. v-twins make for a much better street bike and are easier to ride. and 90-95% of riders will never reach the actual limits of a bike. the 1098,gsxr's,r6/r1's,zxr's, etc. are all built for ROAD RACING. if you are using it for something else, then that's not the intended purpose. these bikes are built for the track, and until you actually do a track day, you will never know what you are talking about when it comes to these bikes, and even then you'll have much to learn, as I still do.
  5. just take 'em to the strip and see what's up. roll racing is :gay:. and i'm tired of hearing about "oh those riders must suck", you are racing in a straight line from a goddamn roll, there is no better rider, unless you have no clue what you're doing. now from a dig, it is very rider oriented. a gixxer is quicker than a busa, a busa has a higher top speed, an MV Agusta is the best all around, faster than the busa, and prolly right there with the gsrx1k on the accel.
  6. i'll be up there on sunday, look for the sportbiketrackgear.com booth. we'll be havin some fun
  7. i've been wantin to go hit that place up. gotta get some $ together first though. in the summer Indian Mound is pretty sweet, especially for quads.

    new bike

here's a quick shot of the new bike for '07. 2006 GSXR600. VERY low miles and not much damage. i'll put some better ones up once I get it cleaned up. Thanks to Cycle Search!
  12. but for the video/pictoral value.......the face is a great target. so when you gonna have a site up and goin for everyone to see
  13. i need a part time job for the weekends. i'm lookin for pretty much anything. Have worked construction, landscaping, barbacking, cooking, warehouse, etc. Fri/Sat/Sun are my open days as i'm at school mon-thurs.
  14. damn son. wtf am i doin wrong? i guess i need to go out and get a nice camera and do some work
  15. personally i'm not into the JL amps, but love JL subs. i had 2 10w0's in my mirage back in the day, with a crossfire 200x2amp bridged it hit harder than most 12 setups i'd heard. we recently just installed 2 JLw6's in my buddy's durango this weekend with some virtual reality amp(he got an old phoenix gold with it, but didnt use it) and it absolutely pounds, not the loudest i've ever heard, but way louder than my old setup, plus it's crisp and clean. to say jl's aren't top end is just ignorant. Give me a JL w7 any day of the week, period.
  16. the reason for the higher cost is the smaller number of bikes built, the technology it takes to get that kind of performance out of a v-twin, the amazingly good suspension the bikes come with from the factory, and the ducati name. Ducati's are built amazingly well. the craftmanship far exceeds that of the jap. rivals. these bikes are built for roadracing, all racer-replicas are, and come out of the box ready for the track. i personally can't wait for the Desmosedici to hit american shores this summer. pretty much will be the fastest bike out there, but isn't up to the homologation standards for racing. but still, an amazing piece of machinery.
  17. prove me wrong. all you can do is say you're an idiot when it's obvious you are the one who's an idiot. you think you know all about this and that, but then contradict your own statements. i know far more about motorcycles than most people, i've only been racing them since i was 10 years old. mx,drag, roadcourse, streetriding. it's your lack of knowledge and inferiority complex that reduces you to name calling and self boasting. which is fine, that's your problem and i must respect your faults.
  18. i said nothing about pulling them out of corners, but being faster in general, which ofcourse is due to my skill and not my bike. why are you contradicting yourself? you say how the 1098 is low on power, but then say that the peak power doesnt mean anything. if the 999 is able to keep up and spank the 1000 4's and now is a 1098.... i'd say it's plenty fast enough.
  19. i brought up the busa cuz you were bitchin about horsepower in the 1000's, when the 1300 busa is lower than the 1000's. oh and since dyno's aren't good indication of an actual hp, then why did you even pay attention to the ducati and whine about it be low on power?? you'd have to see a 1000 dyno on the same dyno in the same conditions first.
  20. quickest i believe. here's some stuff about him, and yes it's heath ohio MSPracing http://www.mpsracing.com/Pages/articles/CrateTo8/CrateTo8.htm http://www.mspracing.com
  21. indian mound is the place to go, was gonna go today but wasnt feeling too good from last nite. it's a real nice track in Newcomerstown with a good mix of sand/clay and some real nice jumps, pretty much all tables so it's safe too. blast
  22. but i agree, take one of those bikes in a drag race, but take the 1098 for turning, which is what all these bikes are built for anyway. oh and BTW, last i checked the busa made 155hp??
  23. Joe Morasco, builder of the worlds fastest n/a busa......i'm sure you've heard of him. owns a suzuki dealership in Heath
  24. personally i think the engine braking and torquiness is what makes a v-twin a better run around town bike.you dont have to slip the shit outta the clutch and you can use that engine braking to slow down and not have to constantly be grabbing brake. i know my old sv650 was kickass in traffic and was a perfect bike on the street. def. wasn't a straightline king, but that thing kicked a few literbikes in the ass in the twisties.
  25. depends on what you call "power" torque is what pulls you through the gears and acceleration. for everyday street riding this bike would be better than an inline due to it's rideabilty. also any tuner pulls a bike wfo through the gears on a dyno. one of the best Busa builders in the country tuned my SV racebike and did this exact thing a couple times to make sure it was working well in a real world run through the gears. also tends to net a lil higher numbers. also this bike is only 14,995 i believe. that's what, 4k more than a gixxer 1k?
