id agree with that. semi drivers are probably much better drivers than cagers. however there are 2 things that i dont like about being around semis, other than the wind... 1 is stopping distance. i dont like to have a semi somewhat close behind me. what if i have to stop very quickly? a 400lb motorcycle is going to stop a LOT quicker than an 60,000lb semi truck. 2 is blown tires. youve seen the retreads lying on the side of the freeway... they are bad enough if they are in your lane. imagine them exploding at 65 mph right next to you. not cool.

as for on a bike... mine tops out right at 100.

my dad rented an 07 caddy that did the same thing. i think it went 1 mph faster though my malibu is limited at 105, but i know its got more in it. its still got 1000 rpm to go before redline.

in pretty much every other country in the world it is. its standard practice in europe. in fact, in spain, they just started putting areas at the front of the line at traffic lights for bikes only.

no. we have not. ive never ridden like a jackass like the ppl in that video. never split traffic thats moving at 65 mph. never split between a semi truck while going over the speed limit. for the record, im not against lane splitting. but its to be done when traffic is moving very slowly. if everyone is going 65, there is no reason to split. splitting lanes while traffic is at a dead stop or crawling along at a snails pace is one thing. splitting lanes going 80 or faster is another completely.

right... sportbikes already got a bad name, so why try and do anything to change that right? that wouldnt make much sense... everyone should just go out and ride like jackasses because hey, people hate us anyway
