  1. I took the wife there years ago, and both decided never to go back. Sounds like it has changed.

    I <3 Sandra

Well, I don't. But, this guy does. http://www.cracked.com/blog/my-doomed-attempt-to-woo-sandra-bullock/
  3. I had an extremely similar day. Had been marinating a large deer steak in a burgundy sauce for 2 days after tenderizing it. Sunday 3pm. Large grill was out of gas. Only had my small camping Coleman. Coleman on high to heat up, plopped steak on, had small frosty mug, exactly one turn of steak, had next mug, medium-rare steak done with no sides besides salt and pepper. Maybe a few more mugs... Still one of the best grilling / steak days so far.

  5. Turning down $16 an hour at 16? That's $32,000 a year full time. Damn.
  6. I heard their dad is 39-40 and has 10-11 kids. I am also hearing the kid will not make it.
  7. How old again? Which side of town? I turned wrenches from 14-22 during high school and college, and liked it. I always thought working at a shop was somehow a step above flipping burgers or bagging groceries.
  8. Ohhh, yes you can. Good stuff right there.
  9. I'm white; can I get in there? Menu looks awesome.
  10. What do you like to do / see yourself interested in in the future?
  11. Another post in another thread got me wondering... I like steak. A lot. I am usually very let down at "steaks" when I get them from places like AppleBees, Logan's, Champps, etc. The best steak I can remember was actually a fairly cheap one from Outback back in the day on Main. Where - nearer to the East side the better - is THE place for a great steak? I'm thinking 25-30 bucks, but maybe more if it is worth it.

  14. Thank you for taking the time to type a legible post. Welcome aboard.

  16. BTW, there is a Fiery Foods festival this coming weekend.
  17. The stuff I always buy is $7 a bottle. Buy 4, 5th is free. So, $5.60 each that way. Buy a lot, and they'll usually cut you a better deal. Why I like them is the variety and being local. And, I get the really fucking hot stuff that you just can't get at Krogers.
  18. ... and be slower than what he just sold.
  19. Chopper was my 1st thought too. Something with a 300+ rear tire.
  20. I did a compression test today on an older 302 w/ stock pistons and aftermarket heads and got the following: 1 120 3 122 5 114 7 115 2 124 4 115 6 124 8 129 Motor was stone cold, not recently rebuilt. See any issues? I'd like your input. Thanks.
