Add the M&P 380 to your search. The Bodyguard minus the laser basically and a lot cheaper.

The Bodyguard has a heavy, heavy trigger. But, that only becomes annoying while killing paper. If you're OK with the trigger, it is otherwise great to carry. Super light, great in-the-hand feel. LCP had a lighter triiger IMO, but was not nearly as comfy. Comfy and trigger are non-factors if the gun is ever used for its intended purpose, though.

There is some GM Bulletin out there about having to line up accessories with an F'ing laser if you replace anything. Have you replaced anything? A/C or water pump or anything? I've been through 2 upper and 1 lower tensioner on our Tahoe, but that was more of an annoying hum than a chirp. Good luck.

These have several safeties and like good 22 ammo.
