Jeg's mini high-torque. I have had one on my 11.5+ to 1 motor for a couple years. It rotates any direction you need it to around its billet base. Cheap for the performance.

Maybe a setting in your ECU telling the compresser to unlock under certain temps and/or conditions? Maybe the ECU is killing the auxilary AC fan at low temps, causing your poor AC performance? Condition of your coolant will not affect your AC system.
