Vince, it is perfectly legal to do it. If you were ever ticketed its because the officer was being a dick. The BMV states you have 30 days. And by law you do have 30 days. If you own the tag and you own the car, you have that 30 days to re-register that tag to the appropriate vehicle. And you dont need a bill of sale for a car. You will have a notorized title. Saw this issue yesterday on CNN. Toyota is putting the recall out to the public, and getting it taken care of. Good for them. Its one less lawsuit they will have to worry about. Because we all know there's that Jack out there, that will sue them over it. Like already stated, every vehicle has recalls. It part of the game.
