  1. I filled it, backed it off the ramps, then shut her down and checked it a few mins later. Oil was on the dipstick but below the hash marks.
  2. 6 quarts is low. I'll have to go grab an extra quart. That being said, that was the cleanest oil change I've ever done! There's a fucking built in funnel to collect oil from the filter!
  3. ...bet i could fit more if I pulled the spark plugs.
  4. So, I'm ready to change the oil in my TB SS for the first time. I searched on Google last night and couldn't find the oil capacity. My owners manual very clearly states to use 5w30 full synthetic oil, but lists no quantity. I figured AutoZone would know how much oil I needed... Their system didn't have an oil quantity listed. So I called the dealership where I purchased the vehicle. I talked to both their parts AND service department. The dealership couldn't even tell me oil capacity! I don't get it! What's the big secret here? Through some further Googling I've found that the C6 'vettes can take between 5.5-6.5 quarts depending on the COLOR OF THE DIPSTICK. But, does the TB have the same oilpan as the Corvette? Who the hell knows?!?!? *sigh* I just picked up 6 Qts of Mobile 1 5w30. If it needs more, it needs more. /rant
  5. Doh! I forgot all about this.
  6. PM Cinergi. Cinergi=Greg. Greg=Cinergi. It's like they are the same person...
  7. Is this a legit sale, or are you striking back at Rob for selling your Evo out from under you? And what CPU?
  8. ECU has new caps. Did it over the winter.
  9. Interesting. I'd like to see it make it into production. If a company such as GM were to get their hands on it and put it into production, it could totally turn them around.
  10. Good link mang! Ahh, I didn't pull the MPI fuse. Bet the cylinders are washed down now! I'll try a wet test next chance I get. Would the fact that the car hasn't run since 3/20 and thus I can't get it to operating temp effect my readings also?
  11. Wow, I like that car. I'm also really impressed that BR has started R&D on it already.
  12. What is a wet compression test?
  13. I parked the car on 3/20 and it was running fine. I went to start the car on 3/29 after I returned from vacation and it wouldn't start. Actually it started and idled for about 2 seconds, then died, THEN nothing. While cranking the car makes kind of a puffing sound. So far I have made sure I have fuel. The fuel pressure gauge reads like 40psi after cranking, the pump does come on, and I could smell fuel when I pulled the plugs. I have also verified that I have spark. Having fuel and spark I rented a compression tester from Autozone. Here are my results for the compression test: Cylinder 1 60psi, cylinder 2 45psi, cylinder 3 70psi, cylinder 4 30psi. I know all 4 of those numbers suck and 2 and 4 extra suck, but I have trouble believing a running car suddenly lost compression whilst parked during vacation. I also don't think the motor somehow jumped timing. I hear no PTV noises during cranking. I think the Autozone gauge sucks. Does anyone have a better compression tester or a leakdown tester I could use? Any more ideas? Car is a 93 manual AWD eclipse.
  14. I'd love to come, but I'll be in the ATL for work.
  15. Is this a complete lower with trigger and all that fun stuff, or is it bare? Pics?
  16. I still have them. I'm not in a real big hurry to get rid of them.
  17. The trailor is out! 1st caught it on the season finale of the Sarah Connor Chronicles. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pcg5t0mT8V4
