  5. so you think i can get al least 7500 out of it? I don't want it but it might sell faster than my corvette.

I e-mailed them and asked so we'll see what they say. passing tech is what i'm looking at more than saving weight.

would 4130 1 3/4 .95 pass instead of DOM? lighter and stronger than DOM but you know the rules worded are and how picky tech inspectors can be.

don't know what class my car will fit into yet. most of the time it will just be auto-x but the car will see some road racing in different states and some mid-ohio track stuff. is .120 DOM what Jegs sells? i know its the hardest stuff to bend that i've ever used. good lookin out on the rear down bars, looks like a sure thing me not having back seats anymore. maybe something more along the lines of this? http://www.camaroheaven.org/images/auto_gallery/camaro/refresh/camaro_rebuild015.jpg
  14. decided to start over from scrach on my roll cage and have a few questions if any of you can help me out. i know that the cage has to be 1 3/4 but i don't know what type of tube and the wall thickness. i looked on there web site but couldn't find anything. i know they want a 4 point so would this be legal? (see pic below) and what about an angled cross bar? http://www.camaroheaven.org/images/auto_gallery/camaro/refresh/camaro_rebuild679.jpg
  15. i'm looking for a wrecked camaro between the years 1998 and 2002 must have LS1/T56 and would perfer good air bags and black leather. don't care if it has a salvage title or not. as long as the harness isn't cut and the dash isn't broken. I'm looking to trade my 88 vette for it. This is going to be a doner car for my 67 camaro.
  16. i wondered the samething on my vette but since it sits more than driven i decided not to. if you fill up once a week than i don't see what it would hurt.
  17. next time your in the trunk of a 2002 Impala look under the carpet or any one of that body style. also the same year body style Monte Carlo's and Buicks, Pontiacs, all this time you've been pulling the tanks out and just needed to craw in the trunk with a 10mm socket.

    SBC vs. SBF

i'd buy it, you can always sell the transmission
  19. why is it not legal? i can think of a few cars that come with a trap door to get the fuel pump out like W-bodys. i can't remember but i think the crown vic's have a door under the rear seat.

    SBC vs. SBF

haha Tinman has a SBC.2 set up.....just heads and intake would cost more than buying an LS1/T56 set up. you can also get a carb intake for an LS1. it may have a classic look but the trend now is fuel injection and LS swaps.

    SBC vs. SBF

i'd stay away from high compression and hypereutectic pistons but thats just me. i assume the compression ratio is with 64cc heads, get maybe a 72cc head to drop it down a little and call it a day. have you thought about putting an LS1/T56 in there? i've seen engine, trans, harness and PCM go for 4k before, head/swap and have close to 500 horse power out of an aluminum block so you car would be even lighter and just hit the key and go.
  22. free health care and cheep drugs? i don' know if you would want to go to there hospitals or not
  23. i hope you get the joke, we all know its comming

    SBC vs. SBF

find out the compression ratio. ditch those heads and get a good set of aluminum ones like dart pro 1 if you want to make serious power. but there are alot of other good heads too. my car had Pro Top Line which is out of busness. single plane intake and a 750 carb it should lay down some good power numbers and gobs of torque.
