  1. No problem guys/gals. I know I'm over here in Illinois, but my 5th g-grandfather is buried near Troy, OH...so that's good enough to be in OhioRiders maybe?

I will also pass along that I may still have accomodations available at the Staybridge Suites in Plainfield. 2 bedroom, 2 bath, living room w/ sleeper sofa and full size equipped kitchen for $179 a night (regular $295 a night)....!!!! Would work great for several follks staying together. It is a package deal thru me, can't get it on your own thru Staybridge. Just let me know.

How far is the staybridge from the track?

  2. I made it a point to win top poster of the month one time. I think it was November 08 or sometime around there. got something like 1060 posts, but that was long before that dude came. It takes too much time and effort to be top poster. I was on OR ALL DAY at work and most of my time at home was spent too. Sadly, I never got credit for all those posts once the site crashed :(

    Epic fail? :D

  3. Take her on a picnic at the Park of Roses in Clintonville. When you're done you can walk around and look at all of the beautiful flowers. It gets you out of buying flowers on the first date which may be a little awkward. If all goes well, go to Magic Mountain and if not, take her ass home and don't spend a dime on her!!

  4. I haven't hit Barcelona, however Jaimie and I went to Barrio (that new tapas spot just south of the Arena) after the Arts Festival, and it was a good time. The atmosphere was nice (especially upstairs, as it's pretty-much wall to wall windows), and the food was way past decent. If I'm not mistaken, the Sangria was pretty good as well!

I'll have to try Barrio. I have heard a few good reviews about that place.

There you go Mr. Anderson, sounds like you have a number of good suggestions, hope the date goes well.

  5. Plan a picnic (would suggest Goodale Park, but ComFest may serve as quite the distraction). It shows that you are a dedicated planner. This will also give you an opportunity to get to know one another in an easy-going, no-pressure environment. Too often, 1st dates in restaurants are mad-awkward and uncomfortable, as the two of you are just sitting "interview style" across from each other at a table.

After the picnic, try go-karting at Magic Mtn., Mini-Golfing, or some other fun activity which will keep the two of you engaged (as cheesy as it sounds, it could be fun).

Date 1 should be more about establishing who you are, and less about the "friend zone". If all goes well, you'll still be able to "tap that" in due time.:D

    Well played good sir!

I hear the Barcelona restuarant near downtown is a good place. If it's the first date though Easton Funny bone doesn't sound like a bad idea at all.

  6. I'm pretty sure I'm just going to fix it and give any leftover money back. Even though I really want THIS.

Maybe I'll get a new exhaust or something though :D

I say keep the money.... He's the one that decided to break the ground rules you two agreed to.

  7. I wonder if my wife would mind? :D

A wise old man once told me it is easier to ask for forgiveness than it is to ask for permission...... Words to live by.... :D

  8. i was planning to check out Deer Creek. it's probably the closest to grove city at about 30 mins and they have a permit-free shotgun range. Just picked up my shotty today too so I might go down there this weekend.

    What did you pick up?

  9. ^^ Seriously tho, I thought about closing this simply because the guy who started it seems to be a tool. How is someone who none of us know gonna get on here and talk about how he is getting OR on the news ? Total fail. Yes, this is now 5 long pages of FAIL!

LMAO. I was reading this thread like WTF is going on. LOL
