All hospital bills should be hand delivered so that they can kick you directly in the nuts as you open the bill. The first step in fixing the "problem" should be capping malpractice suits. Hopefully then malpractice insurance can get under control, then hospital bills should be able to drop significantly, ect ect

L.R.R.P. is very respectable and the unit has a very good reputation. So why are you not begging everyone to thank you for your service and telling us how dangerous your job is? I was illustrating that a steak knife is not exactly the weapon of choice for most premeditated crimes. So it was kind of the weapon of convenience and the danger level of a 84 year old lady with a cane and a steak knife isn't very high to anyone more than 10' away from her. If you want to look at it from a greater good of society standpoint, realize that there are a couple thousand cops in the greater Columbus area that have to put on a uniform and potentially deal with someone who is pissed off because of this situation. Her actions put a lot of other cops in danger.

If she would have spent more that 15 seconds trying to resolve the situation and it ended the way it did very few people here would be disagreeing

People stated that she was yelling for her daughter, not "I am gonna kill you mutha fuckers" the officer put herself in that danger by moving up on the lady. I am sure that the cop didn't get a "hard on" from slamming the old lady. I bet that the cop had an adrenaline rush and just wanted the situation resolved. When I get pulled over in my car most of the time a second patrol car pulls up before the officer even approaches my vehicle. I don't think it is a training issue, I don't think that the officer got any joy from the situation, I do feel that she does not have the mental state to be a police officer. She can't think clearly with adrenaline running through her body .

Cops make a good salary, so you get compensated for putting your life at risk. If you were under compensated it would be easy for a qualified individual to become a cop. Cops need to stop this whole "my life is in danger" bullshit. If you don't like it get another job. You are not in the special forces so stop acting like it. Why didn't the cop try and isolate her from innocent bystanders and try and speak with her for a couple of minutes. If you have to slam the old lady thats fine, but after you try some other options.

It was 15 seconds from the time the cop approached her to the time she threw her down. Using force is supposed to be a last resort, correct? She tried really hard to talk to her or find her daughter. Fuck that cop and all of you that support her actions.
