  1. Since April 08, the only thing you've purchased was a clear clutch cover? No tires, nothin'? Hmmmm...

Whatever, man. All I am going to continue to do is give heads up on things that people can do better with. Consider that being a dick? That's cool. I personally could care less. You don't buy much of anything it seems as a rider so, it is a moot point in your case. But, for the majority of riders who in almost a year have made more than one single motorcycle related part, they deserve to know if something is a good deal or not.

Close out in this case on one pair of gloves means they ordered it and it didn't fit or something similar. Meaning, it isn't a stocking item. 20% off isn't that good a deal. Sponsor or not.

Didn't flame the guy, didn't say his shop sucked, didn't say he tries to rip people off. Just isn't a great deal. Period. If you think it is and saving $50 is a deal to you, cool. Some people think retail is fine. It's a deal as long as you feel it is and that you are happy.

I think you have some more threads to check out!

  2. Not familiar with the comic series, but after watching the 90 second trailer on hi-def tonight during "Fringe".......All I can say is WOW!!!

Looks like it's going to be visually STUNNING....Can't wait to go see it!

If you want to watchmen go to the arnold expo this weekend

  3. hilarious

Tommy's is good. Its a pizza place (pizza, subs, salads), and it's kinda small... I wonder if I should call and make sure they have a table for us.

How many is that Shitty, PaddyO, Casper, Ross, McLovin, DTM, SchmuckGirl, Me, Jrmmiii??

That guy lives a 100+ miles away so he probably wont make it

  4. true. forgot about iron pony being there.

    but...

    1. ya gotta start somewhere...

    2. cant be only 1 place that sells gear. need competition!

The guy does dyno tuning and there is a huge need in that market. So why would you go and compete in a segment that is very well served? Have you ever ordered gear and parts online? Have you ever had your bike tuned online?

Honestly Brian if you start selling parts I will not buy them from you unless you are the cheapest. If you dyno and tune bikes, I really dont think I have much else choice but go to you.

  5. Some bike nights do not want the noise and want a couple hundred bucks just to set up. I need to get a list of the bike nights here in columbus. I know beers, boobs, and bars are the things that are needed for a bike night. If I could sell beer I would have a bike night at the shop once a week.

Even if you break even you are still ahead, I dont think many people know who the hell you are. Build some rep and give out a prize or two to the highest horsepower bike. Shit, I would give the crappiest bike free tuning!! I think free tuning would bring more people out of than give a prize to a turbo busa or zx14

  6. are some of you guys really suggesting that he try and compete with the big guys like Iron Pony??

I dont think he has the experience to race prep bikes, it kinda takes a long time to build a REP.

Do what you know and what you are good at. Open a tuning shop right next to Iron Pony, you would not be competition and you would not have to advertise other than the big sign in the window.

Everyone thinks they are a BIG customer, they are not.

Your current location sucks, but I dont know how many places would want you as a neighbor, so a better location might not be too easy.

  7. Oh and you wouldnt even have to carry much of an inventory because when people schedule tuning with you in advance you could just order the part then, but I would have some product on hand mostly to create the perception that you are larger than you really are. When Home Depot started out they put empty boxes in their overheads to create the perception that they were big shit.

Second I would work with a reputable welder (stainless and titanium) to weld bungs into exhaust headers / pipes and even install autotuning devices. Autotuners (motty, dynojet, and bazazz) are going to put you out of the motorcycle business unless you embrace them

  8. Im in charge of an MRI research study. We are following the progression of Osteoarthritis.

I guess I know who I need to talk to when I want to start dating an old bitch

  9. Boy oh boy this just inspires me to tackle my classes and the remainder of the quarter with a newfound zeal and vigor so I can get that Finance degree ASAP!

    ...fuck my life X-(

have fun with that finance degree. If the economy gets worse I will use mine to wipe my ass

  10. Really?! Wow...thanks!

another suggestion that was given to me was to put a washer or two on the plug and try again. Thoughts?

the plug is longer than the pan is deep so I dont see washers helping. If your plug fell out I could see oil shooting all over everyone during a group ride and causing someone to wreck, then everyone would leave that person. Then you would have to worry about dodging their calls.

If you dont want to take the pan off get a shop vac and while you are turning the tap keep suction at the tap, then run a quart of crappy oil through the motor to try and flush out any additional shavings. The drain bolt is the lowest point in the oiling system so any shavings shouldnt go anywhere.

I think you would be better pulling the pan but it does seem like you have a little issue over tightening bolts :p
