  1. I'll bet you a hundred bucks, actually I will bet you whatever you can afford that my battery wieghs about a pound, ask flounder, campus racer or bornsinner. It was 1/2 pound before I doubled it's size just to be on the safe side.

Actually McLovin can tell you how powerfull that battery is!!

The "reason" it takes 10-12 hours to charge is because of a limitation on your homes electrical service and NOT the battery. The battery can charge to 90% within 10 minutes

  2. i dont think it really matters... chrysler may steal as many ideas as they want, right now it isnt viable to buy a baterty operated cars. its kinda cool to think that we can build a not only a car that runs on batteries but a sports car that actually has decent performance based on the same idea, but in reality they weigh a ton, have reliabilty issues, take forever to charge, they are god aweful expensive, and i would really rather have the sound of beautiful exhaust urging me to go faster. :D until technology improves durastically i think these cars are more or less "looky what i can build" type of cars that will improve the image of a company such as chrysler. on the other hand tesla is basing a whole company off of the idea so that could step up the development.....

I couldnt agree more! who wants to wait 10 whole minutes for a 90% charge and with the crummy range the tessela gets (150 miles) I would have to charge it every 6 or 8 days. And the weight, don't get me started on that, the freaking battery I use in my gsxr is over 1lb, the thing is freaking HEAVY!!!

If you want to see a piece of shit car lookup the electric cobra and mustang.

  3. I can't believe everyone on this board. Who do I blame? MTV and BET, we get to sit and watch spoiled rich kids get anything they want and we make them cultural icons. We are a nation filled with janitors that feel they deserve to drive an escalade and live in a 3000sf home. Mortgage bailouts not only bail out the dumbasses that are over their heads but also help preserve the value of the homeowners that pay their mortgage on time. Unfortunately it seems that every decision that needs to be made is a lesser of two evils situation.

The $8,000 tax credit for home buyers will not help anyone who is irresponsible with their credit due to tighter lending practices. So every hard working person that pays their bills on time has the oppurtunity to move up a notch. I for one will be taking advantage of the depressed real estate market. With the amount of retirement contributions that I currently make I hope the market stays fucked for at least a couple more years, because i am planning on retiring before I am too old to enjoy it.

SO my advice to everyone is to stop pissing away money and invest in some of the more fiscally solid companies out there, if you think China is going to take over the world invest in some international funds

  4. I think if I see another thread about Dave's R6 that talks about the same stuff that's in all the other threads of his, I'm going to punch a baby.

They got his bike torn down and there is carbon on the head

Now to go find a baby

  5. If the owner makes it right then at least he is doing the right thing, but the sales staff / and service need to be looked at.

There is no way that bike if it was even moved around by a mechanic they wouldn't havent know there was something wrong with the forks. I know it had lost oil when it made it to my house, but even just pulling it off the side stand it would pogo because the right fork at least wouldn't settle. I Rode it down the hill at 10-15 mph and it pulled right the whole way because of the fork.

My guess is they took this bike in and since the other customer left it there not sure he was going to trade it in they never looked at it, then sold it to a customer. Now if Dave had kept riding this bike I know it would have ended badly as this bike was not farm from a nasty tank slapper from letting off the gas or hitting a pot hole.

Now the motor in defense to Middletown (if they never reved the bike since they had it) the smoke isn't noticeable at idle or even 4-5k RPM at idle. But you can see under load, but the test rider would see it untill they get it up to 10k or so (but even then if no one is watching they won't see it).

However had they ridden it before selling it the fork would have been a dead giveaway.

But a salesman saying a bike is immaculate that has not even been looked by a mechanic, and then not taking of the problem at the first sign says that the sales team needs to be addressed and policy that used bikes are gone over by service before sale to avoid this issue again.

I guess it doesnt really matter what ChrisOH or Lizard are fighting about (suspension theory) because there was an obvious problem with the bike. Tell them to give you your money back and go buy from someone else. Maybe the owner is a great guy but it doesnt really matter, nobody gives me money just because I am nice. From what focusdave said the salesman was not truthfull in his "sales pitch" and for that they dont deserve your money. The fact that you did not get any help until the issue went public is another sign that they dont deserve your money.

Tell them to fire the salesman and you will keep the bike, or they can keep the bike and the salesman
