  1. Some of us plan on going out during the week to get some practice! I've got to look at my schedule but Monday is looking good, as well as Thursday
  2. Only gets harder as they get older and faster. Look at Harrison. I use to beat him at CRP, then the light switch went off one day and Jordan and I couldn't keep up.. Now.. The little punk waves at me as he passes me at Mid O on his SV! Lol
  3. Funny thing is... I know someone that can help ya with that workout/diet! Lol But seriously.. Even with my bike and me weighing in at 150lbs, it's a hard task to pass Gavin.
  4. I wish I was there to battle with G-man! I can't wait for CRP's race.. It's ON!!!
  5. Damn.. Really pissed I missed this round.. How was the weather today there?
  6. I'll try, but not looking likely right now.
  7. Might not be able to make it Sunday now.. Boo
  8. I know this is a few weeks late, but I wanted to say thanks to thouse that came to the garage and said hi and watch the races.. I met a few new people and it was great to catch up with old friends. With this being my 2nd year racing in the VMD, I'm very happy at how well WERA and the AMA run the event. Being a race director for the mini club, OMRL, I wouldn't want that job... so I tip my hat to everyone involved in making the weekend go smooth. I came into the weekend with a goal of scrub'n 2 sec off my best time on my '90 FZR400. I wasn't able to do that, but was able to match my best of 1:43 on the old girl. I'm not sure if its the key hole area, or what... but it seemed like most everyone that weekend were a few sec off their best times from last year. I know I'm leaving some time on the track in the key hole and also the carousel area, so I know what I need to work on. I was happy to lead both races Sat and Sun every lap except the one that counts.. the last one! lol That damn FZR400 with his "cheater motor" went flying past me on the straight like I was sitting still. (love ya Scott) lol So, I had to settle for 2nd. I'm going to install the same motor or figure something else out to get that 35 extra HP I need. I'm also going to put some newer R6 forks on the front as the little FZR forks are not working as well as I want them to. I might try to make a track day before the end of the season to work on those two sections and really try to nail them down and get it dialed in good for next year. Here are a few pic's and quick video from the weekend. Again, it was nice to see everyone that came by the pits and Thanks to Brian for trying to figure out why I shreaded that slick on Sat... http://youtu.be/U2tAclZNZ18 Thanks to Joe and David for the sweet pics!
  9. I'll be there Sunday morning. Wish I could come out Sat too.. See ya all there
  10. Blown head gasket and smoked the clutch again! Going to see if I can get someone local that knows what the hell they are doing to get some more Hp out of her.. It's killing me on the straights.. I'm working on my front end to upgrade it this winter
  11. They will if it is a little wet.. But the Superbike guys went out early and said it's too unsafe at its current condition.. So rain delay until conditions improve
  12. For sure man!! I first have to rebuild the motor! As it looks.. might not get it done till the fall
  13. Yeah, if I had to race again, I would of added a little more psi to the front.. I was already at 29 off the warmers front and 26 rear.. But u can only push the crappy fzr forks so far.. It's time for an upgrade!!!
  14. Brian.. I need help to drop 3 sec off my best.. Best I could do is a :43 with my FZR400 with shagged rear! lol I do plan on getting new R6 front end on it ASAP... I'm getting chatter in 1, 3, 5 and into the carousel when pushing it during the races this past weekend. But, you are correct... I need to work on the keyhole and the carousel a bit more.. I know I'm leaving time on the track in those areas.
  15. Might go Sat or Sun for the AMA superbike races with my son. I'll have to look into the track day thing and see if it's feasible after racing VMD's weekend
  16. Whatever you are running, take 2secs off that time.. That's what I'm running.
  17. No need to get frazzle dazzled with the points guys.. It is just mini racing (monkeys racing kids bikes). We will make it RIGHT and FAIR for all. It will be black and white/addressed for the next round and most definitely for the next National event. Remember.. This is my baby that I created years ago.. I never thought it would get as big as it was last weekend. Kent, Russ, myself and a few other officials will sit down and map out a plan. It's to the point now where it needs to be the same every year, same class rules, same schedule, same points, etc.. But..like I always say... If u want 1st place points.. More throttle and less brake! Lol
  18. Ahhhh... Ok, but only because I'm trying to be nice! lol I did ask kent that question also, forgot to reply to that. We are looking at possibly going to that new track.. But Kent has to call and see if they have made any improvements since the last time he was there. Keep an eye on it. And bring the pets and kids! Btw, thanks to those that congratulated me on the wins. It wasn't easy to beat the fast kids, and I'm sure they will beat me next year, so I'll take it when I can! Here's a sweet pic and video! Practice following young gun Brandon from NJ, and my F1 qualifying run! http://youtu.be/C7Su-PugvDI F3 race.. 1st http://youtu.be/xKOMAhfLBVo
  19. Ok.. As far as points.. Just got off the phone with Kent. More than likely he will score it double points by OUR club members race results. If you were 4th, but had 2 non club members in front of you, you'll be given 2nd. He is only scoring the race and where OUR club members finished at. Copy all that?? If you have further questions please email Kent at the club email on our website. Thanks
  20. Todd, I'll have an answer for ya about the scoring in the XR class. I think I know the answer, but want to clarify it with Kent
  21. Brian is right.. I only said it will be fixed for next year because we only do this event once a year.. It's hosted by us (OMRL) and co-hosted by NJMiniGP. Our class rules are the only thing that we "vote" on at the end of the season. For the most part, the class rules are near perfect, in my opinion. Other changes within the club can and will be fixed if needed mid season for safety and growing of the club. The corner workers were not normal corner workers.. They were just the people that run the kart track. That is the problem...and now we know better. Next years event WILL be different with the corner worker situation. Not a big issue. The one rider.. Yes.. His very aggressive style was addressed by many there, even the lady running the kart track said something to him. But I agree with ya Brian.. If you are distracted by his leg out style, then focus on something else. I know I was behind him in practice and did enjoy watching him back it into the corners.. Wondered why he was doing that, because it's not the fast way around the track, but just thought he was having fun, or showing off? Didn't know that he was taking every corner like that. Lol
  22. Thanks for all that showed up and made the event a great time. I had a blast and so happy that this event is getting bigger and bigger every year.. With that comes some people that can turn the great event into a disaster. As far as #77 is concerned, he isn't a part of NJ club, or ours.. He's only raced with NJ once from what I was told. He was racing like he was flat track'n..not acceptable for roadracing, especially in a race like ours where it's just for fun.. I knew Kent talked to him and Ryan might of. I was going to talk to him after the F2 race, but I couldn't find him. I don't know why he was allowed to race again after given the black flag in the XR race. I was unaware of that.. I told the starter to black flag him for jumping the start and bunting Jordan off the track in turn 1 for what was clearly a dick move. He didn't respond to it, so they gave him the waving black flag and he pulled off. This was the first year we had PIRC take care of the corner workers.. It was something we talked about to help from us volunteering to cover the corners and to make the day run smoother/faster. We now know that they need to be given a class on the flags for motorcycles. The thing I wasn't happy about was the fact that the medic came on track with no red flag flown, just the yellow. No blue flags, and some of the corners were not covered.. Again, things we will iron out before the next event.. And if we have to do it ourselves again because it's more safe, we will! Remember, PIRC is under new management, things are a lot different then they were in the past.. I hope they get a little more relaxed on some things (like riding pit bikes around the pits) and more concerned about rider safety with proper education of flags and when to use them. Other than a few little things that can and will be fixed, it went smooth and everyone had a good time. One last thing.. I didn't agree with the 30 grid XR race. Devon and I talked to Kent after the riders meeting and asked him to split it for safety sake. He said he would look at the times in qualifying and if there was a big gap, that he would. I don't know why it never happened, but I'm not running the club anymore, so I couldn't make the final call on that.. Just suggest things and give my opinion
