  1. Sweet!! Tell him to slap some street tires on it for ya and come race it in our stock XR100 class!!!
  2. Hey man, it was good meeting ya also. No problem on confusing my wife, she is not use to seeing me on a red bike (use to just looking for the Repsol bike). Anyway, thanks to everyone for not running me over with my little 400... It did okay for it's first time out on the track, I've got to get use to the older tech... Mostly the carbs and keeping the revs up. It a lot different then my old 600RR.. But the R6 brakes with Brembo setup is nice, and will take a min to get use to braking a lot later, because it's instant stop when I hit those brakes!
  3. Cool.. I'll look for ya! Yeah, I'll be on a big black Tacoma with my red/black FZR with yellow number plates and the number 4 on it also! Lol
  4. I get paid everytime a new iphone comes out! Sell my old one on eBay for $300+ and buy a new one for $200... I just pocketed some cash!! I only paid for my initial one which was the 3G years ago!
  5. That would be an awesome time to go then I would think!! If the twilight event goes well on Sat (for me and my ride)... I might sign up for mon or tues
  6. Yeah, WERA V6!! Oh so sweet!!! I'd buy it now if I didn't just pick one up myself! Great bikes!! Does that have TZ250 wheels on it?? Kinda looks like mine PM me the contact info and I'll pass it along to a friend looking. Thx
  7. Yeah, You too huh! Lol I think I make some of my best times home when I'm getting off duty! Lucky you, I wish I got to play with guns!!
  8. Yeah rub it in while I'm stuck here at work! But, I can't bitch too much since I only work 10 days a month! Lol Have fun!
  9. Haha.. Yeah it does.. It's that old vintage look. It's a TZ250 tail.. It's a little long but will work for now.
  10. Well after a little bit of work to the bike, getting it ready for a track day shake down, I found that the motor more than likely is a 413 or 430cc. 1st or 2nd overbore. Anyway, I cleaned the carbs, got new chain, sprockets and a few other little bits that I need to install (seat pad,bar ends, etc..) It's a fun little bike riding it around my neighborhood and can't wait to get it out on the track next Sat! Anyway.. This is what she looks like now. I'll be updating the look with either R1 or R6 bodywork over the winter, but the old vintage stuff will stay on for now.
  11. I might make it out with my FZR race bike if I don't go to the Beav on the 16th..
  12. Sweet.. Yeah I'd like to have 1gen stuff.. But I'll take anything.. Trying to get an updated look to the FZR400 race bike
  13. I should say, race bodywork! Any year R1, or R6 race bodywork will work for me! If anyone has anything (good or bad) let me know!! Thanks
  14. Thanks guys and I'm sure if I have any questions about the bike as I start digging into it, I'll ask ya CrazySkullCrusher From what I've read about the 400 chassis, is it is one of the best chassis for Roadracing, and with the 600 motor and the right rider... It can keep up with some modern bikes. We will see! Lol
  15. So, I picked up a 1990 FZR400 chassis with (what I was told) a 580cc motor in it, but I won't know till I do a little digging around on the bike and cross reference a few things. Anyway, some college kid has had it for the past 3 years. It has sat in the garage for the past 2 doing nothing but rusting and collecting dust and spider-webs. So, I picked it up for a crazy price and I will start the rebuild/clean-up of the bike ASAP. From the notes that I was given, it has TZ250 wheels, TZ250 tail section, ZX (something) radiator, R6 brakes, GSXR forks (older SRAD style I assume), TZ all aluminum sub-frame, barnett clutch, stage 3 dyno-jet kit, K&N filters, etc, etc... Anyone recognize the bike, or know who owned it before the kid I got it off of? I can't wait to dive into the thing and start getting it ready for the track and start racing Vintage. I HOPE that I can get it ready for a track day soon, but we will see. I want to thank my lovely wife Niki for being the coolest wife around and for not really giving me too much $h%T for getting it. She said it looks like junk, but she then quickly said all the bikes I bring home look like junk, but end up looking kinda cool after I get my hands on them.
  16. If he wants to use my old size 40 A'Stars suit for practice he can. I use it as a rain suit. lol
  17. Very cool Brian! Should be one happy kid!! I'm sure I'll see ya around the track soon!
  18. Dude it stopped raining after noon and the track dried up somewhat fast. Anyway, I rode down the pits a few times on my Repsol mini, but didn't see anyone I recognized.. But a bunch of bikes were on the track.
  19. I just got home from the weekend there racing the mini gp bikes on the kart track for our eastern national event. What a weekend full of crazy weather and seeing lots of cool stuff Sat was perfect.. But then Sunday came and so did the rain! Did any of u guys on the north track stay for Sunday? I heard a few bikes out on the track after lunch, but not many. Also, was the owner of that S1000RR a member here? I'm glad to see he was ok, but that bike was fooked!! My son thought it was the batman bike. That's a fast way to lose $15k!
  20. Ahh.. Thanks guys, but I'm nowhere near being the "coolest dad".. If you know me, and my son.. We have a special relationship and he always wants to do what I'm doing... Riding is one of them, and I enjoy teaching him!
  21. Thanks man! It's a fun time! We have had kids 6-7yrs old racing old ysr50's crf50, and KLX110's. They can go out and practice during our lunch break or after races are over for free I took my son when he was 5yrs old out on our lunch break and did about 8 laps on his old PW50. He followed me on the XR100. Was a blast! He is now 7 and has a KLX110 and he plans to race it next year.. But he is having fun riding dirt, so I won't push.. Let him do what he wants! He's having fun! He's a pic of him on his PW at CRP.. Happy dad moment! Lol
  22. I will be there on the Wilson Circuit (Kart track) racing my NSF.. My club will be there Sat/Sun... Marty, if you want to make a little extra money, come take pics of us also.. It's not only our race weekend, but a national race event where we have riders coming in from NJ, Fl, Mich, Tenn, etc... So I'm sure those guys would love to get some pics! Come see me in the pits.. I'm on the only Repsol Replica mini GP bike.. #4
  23. My club allows kids to ride/race.. www.ohiominigp.com If it is a new kid and you don't want to teach/coach the little one yourself, we offer training and coaching for free on non-event days or after the races are over on event days. Most of the dads want to teach their own kids, and that's fine.. But sometimes a lesson or two from different viewpoints might not hurt. We also rent out XR100's but if that's too big, there are a few YSR guys that I'm sure wouldn't mind lending out a bike for a few laps. At anyrate, come check us out at our next event at CRP, or contact me with any other questions!
