  1. I was active duty Air Force as a firefighter. I loved it! I owe everything I've got today (job, house, life style, etc) to the military! I've got lots of friends that are in the Army, and Marines and when I was active duty, they would see how the Air Force lived and wished they would of gone AF. Now this was active duty, and not the Guard. I know a lot of friends and co-workers that are in the Air National Guard, and they seem to like it alot! If I were you, I would at least check out all the services and see what each as to offer. I would assume that the Air Force would have more to offer that would allow you to have a good job on the civilian side? This is your life, don't let some damn recruiter bully you into something you don't want to do! Good luck in what ever you do! And make sure you do the GI BILL!!! I'm making $1320 a month to go to school full time (on-line)! That money is all mine!! I believe that Pres. Bush signed a bill to increase the GI Bill amount to $3000 a month (next year) for full time students. All these figures are for Active Duty, the Guard and Reserves amounts are different, you would just have to visit the GI Bill website and see what it would be for you, or ask your recruiter!
  2. Unless he backs out, then I'll take them off your hands! HAHAHAHA
  3. Great deal on tires!!! I'm going to get a set from ya after the holidays, as my R6 needs some new rubber for next season. BTW, I've got Pirelli Dragon Super Corsa Pro's on my bike now and LOVE them! They stick like glue, but like said before, they are not that good in the rain/wet!
  4. I was told by more then one person that they need cut. Either they are liers or don't want me to get them? HAHAHA
  5. I guess race tech makes springs for the NSR's... but they will have to be cut!
  6. Aaron, I'll sale ya the HRC spring for what I've got in them... $50.
  7. I'm 155lbs, and I have a XR100 motor in the bike, might add a few extra pounds with the bigger 4 stroke in there. And I was told that the only place I can get springs for this bike was thru HRC... I have now found a place in Cali that can custom cut springs and what not for around $140. I might go that route.
  8. Thanks everyone... I'm trying to work out a deal now with a guy out in Cali to make me a set of custom springs for these forks. I guess he does a lot of them for us NSR racers, and they are not progressive! I kinda wish that there was someone local that could hook me up with some sweet springs! Damn Cali has all the cool shops! So, looks like I'll have these HRC springs up for sale soon!
  9. Well, I wonder if HRC has the proper preload adjusters for sale?? I know racetech ships ya springs with a long piece of conduit to cut down as spacers.... I guess I've got to do the same thing. Thanks guys!
  10. I would love to ride/race on that track with both my R6 and NSR! I asked about renting the track for our club and it is a lot of money!
  11. Time to get my mini racer on a calender!!! If only I could get a hot chick (other then my wife) to sit on it and let me take a pic!
  12. I wonder if there is a Suspension place (local) I can take the forks to and see if they can custom make a set of springs for me. I kinda got these HRC springs for next to nothing.
  13. Thats the thing... I have no clue what size they need to be. The stock ones (ones in the pic above) are 5 7/8" long!
  14. I emailed the guy I got them off of, and he said to cut a shorter tube... I'm not sure if HRC sent him shorter tubes, but I'm going to contact them and find out if I can get some.
  15. The NSR/NSF's forks has Pre-load adjuster, but no compression adjuster (only on the rear shock). Guess I don't need it??
  16. These are going into my NSR/NSF race bike. I thought you didn't need the tube with the other springs? The other springs are HRC Hard springs, the bottom one is stock.
  17. Quick question for anyone that knows.... I was about to put the springs in today and I seen that they were progressive springs. I can't remember what way they go into the forks. Do the tighter closer together springs go on the top or bottom? If I remember right, I think they go on the top, but wanted to double check before I button it all up. Thanks. Here are the new springs... And the bottom spring is the stock one!
  18. How much did you use them? Any funcky smells to them??
  19. Yeah, I knew it was coming a long time ago, but didn't know when it was going to happen! I wish them the best of luck, it seems like they will do good. They have moved up from the little shack they were at years ago (across the street)!
  20. Well, Earache is making me an alum swingarm for my NSR. It is going to be welded and the weld spots will not be as strong as the rest of the alum. So, I'll need the swingarm heat treated to make the entire thing the same temper/strength!
  21. Okay, that brought up another subject I wanted to know... where can I get something heat treated to a T6 temper for cheap??
  22. Okay, I know where that is.. That is the old Art Iron on the west side And Thanks for the info Earache! BTW, how was your vacation??
