RC51 John

What kind of brush do you use? That could be the culprit. I've never had any o-ring deterioration from using WD-40.

I used an old tooth brush (soft bristles as as most dentists suggest). Could also be that I don't clean it nearly enough and I switched from 530 to 520 chain.

I'm pretty sure the reason was due to the thread getting out of hand.

It needed to be stopped at some point.

I used WD-40 to clean my chain and I think it did start to mess up my o-rings. I can see torn pieces on a few links.

Looks like I'll need a new chain next year.
