  1. without using gas and a match??

It's a pretty big job. We'd like to have 5 trees and stumps removed, 2 or 3 are more of a priority though. Then we've got a couple of trees we'd like to have trimmed and shaped up.

The fence will be a project for later this summer / early fall. We're looking to build 4 1/4 - 5 foot shadow box over about 250 linear feet. We may end up doing it ourselves though. So far I'm guestimating about $1500 for material alone.

No, ya see gas doesn't get rid of the stump. You need dynamite for that.

  2. Thoughts out to the family and friends of this rider.

One thing I must say, though. It is easy to get pissed and be upset. However, the minivan driver isn't a murderer. It was a lack of attention for sure, but how many of us have done the same thing? How many of us have ridden on occasion recklessly and gotten away with it? How many of us have done something rather stupid like drank too much and driven home and gotten away with it? How many of us have gone somewhat "postal" and had road rage get the better of us w/o concern to others around simply to prove a point?

There's a lot to everything that happens in life. Calling the driver a murderer is a little uncalled for. They weren't out hunting for motorcyclists and trying to kill or hurt them. I know it sucks. Trust me, I drive 48K miles plus a year. I've had my share of stupid people who don't think or are so immersed in what they are doing, they aren't paying attention to their driving.

Not taking the min van driver's side, but step back and as the one poster stated, it's a bitch to turn left at that intersection... Bikes are tough to see at times. We all know that. It's what we sign up for being an enthusiast...

God Speed to the fallen rider...

I don't think anyone mentioned the word 'MURDER', but causing the death of someone accidental or not is still killing them.

  3. Fatal Motorcycle Crash Closes Roads

COLUMBUS, Ohio -- A fatal motorcycle accident has closed a heavily traveled road near the small town of Brice on the city's East Side, NBC 4's Mikaela Hunt reported.

Hunt reported the Friday morning accident involved a minivan and motorcycle on the corner of Gender and Shannon roads. She said the motorcycle is a Ducati, which is an Italian bike.

The on-the-scene police sergeant confirmed the motorcycle driver was transported to Grant Medical Center and pronounced dead at the hospital.

An on-the-scene witness told police the motorcycle was traveling southbound on Gender when the minivan, which was traveling eastbound, on Shannon turned left on Gender and pulled out in front of the motorcycle.

Police said there weren't any injuries to people in the van. Hunt cannot confirm whether the motorcyclist was female or male, but he or she was wearing a helmet.

Shannon Road was closed from Brice to Gender roads for several hours, and Gender remained closed at noon from Abbey Trails Drive to Wright Road, she reported.

Very sad, my thoughts and sympathy go out to his family.

The Shannon & Gender Rd is right by the World Harvest Church. I hate Gender Rd and trying to turn left onto Gender sucks. I'm sure she killed someone by being impatient. It pisses me off how drivers don't even stop at stop signs anymore.
