I use this which is exactly what lowes sells. I use it on my dirtbike, and both street bikes. The shit is golden.. Comes out like water but NO fling at all.. http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=213197-39963-D00110101&lpage=none

welcome

It never hurts to post up links to bikes or parts.

No good for track at that price. You can buy a used set of actual track plastics for the same or less or buy a brand new set of e-racing fairings for 325 shipped.

Realize that his take offs will take longer to come up to temp and also run a much lower PSI then stock.. They should work well for you for drag. Also You may never even notice it though unless your really start getting on it but at high speeds, raising your rear with a 190/55 and not adjusting your front suspension could make your bike unstable/squirley so be careful if you do and take it easy until you know how your bike handles with that tire. Im pretty sure the the take offs that chris has are going to be 190/55

Chris... are the take offs your selling Satan, 190/50 or 190/55.... Also, Satan.. something to keep in mind is what profile tire your going to run. the 190/55 is going to give you a higher rear ride height and faster turn in. the 190/50 is going to give you the same ride height you have now and more contact path for the tires as they are not as rounded of a tire. (going to be better for drag.) I think the shinko even has less of a profile then 50. The difference in height between a 190/50 profile and a 190/55, is right around 1 inch. That is a substantial amount to raise the rear and not account for it by adjusting your front suspension... You will notice it and your bike will handle differently. Just an FYI to think about. For the street, you may never even notice it though unless your really start getting on it. Also, At high speeds, raising your rear with a 190/55 and not adjusting your front suspension could make your bike unstable/squirley so be careful if you do and take it easy until you know how your bike handles with that tire.

I have heard that the Avons are shit myself but I have no personally experience with them nor will I..

The thing is this, and please dont take this personally. You are not going to be able to push the stock tires to the limit let alone a set of DC3. Unless you plan on really improving your twisty riding this year in both ability and the amount that you do it, I would get what fits in your budget and is more suited for you to drag since Im assuming that is what is going to be the majority of what you do... With that being said, there is also allot to be said about knowing that the tires your on are better then what you can throw at them. I understand you like the twistys but unless you can actually get on the sides of the tire, it doesnt make sense to buy a dual compound tire that will never get to see a decent lean angle. My Suggestion -> Do 1 track day and you will be more confident and a better rider then you ever thought you would be on that bike. And in a hell of allot less time also. It really will help you get to where you want to be as a rider. Now people can flame on with the try a track day comments.

Yeah I was taking my buddy for a spin in it.. Im sure you heard a bit of the exhaust rumble when I got pissed and dipped out around that group of people blocking the fucking road so someone would valet their cars.. What a crock of shit.
-
What is your goal this season? That should help you decide on tires. If your going to be doing allot of dragging which I assume you will, then there is no need to waste your money on a dual compound tire / track tire. Youre not going to a road track and you dont ride the twisties so get whats cheap and fits your budget and objective..

Anytime I have to fly continental US, I always wear it.. I get less shit in airports believe it or not. Whenever I have to fly International, I make sure NOT to wear it as it sometimes you get extra shit in other countries. No joke.

So I flew to Nashville TN on Thursday and met my dad there who flew in from KC then we drove up to Bowling Green KY that night so that we could pick this up the following day. For those of you that dont know. Corvettes are built in BG KY and that is where the Corvette Museum is as well. If you opt for Museum delivery for your car, you get your own private tour for the day of the plant (which is super cool by the way) as well as your car displayed in the museum when you go to pick it up. There are alot of other little things but on to the good stuff. No its not mine.. Its his. He deserves it. 2008 Corvette, Deep Crystal Red with metallic flake.

I'll never tell.................... . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 19th is supposed to be dirt day at Wayne. 26th, 27th is Mid Ohio. So as you see I had to have the track bike done and the dirt bike done all by the 19th since the track day is the following weekend. That means that I need to get started on the oil seals on the dirt bike this weekend. I really need new tires also but I dont see myself having them by the time wayne rolls around

+1000 Agreed... I did concrete and masonry work for a few years and I can say that whoever dug that close without supporting the structure was a complete asshat. Ive put basements under brick houses that didnt have a basement and we never had shit like that happen.. Someone is lucky they were not killed... They need to take a saw and cut out the rest of that shit before it pulls in the other side walls. Not to mention support the roof all the way to the ground.

Its the way the light hits it.. Im done fucking with it.. It actually has a coat of metallic over top which is what your seeing. Fact is, this is meant to be a 50/50 paint job.. at 50pmh at 50ft away, your never going to notice.. Im not fucking with it anymore so if someone feels like it needs more, you can eat my ass or come over and paint it yourself. Ive spent enough time on the goddamn thing. Its a rattle can job not a fucking pro. My comments are not directly aimed at you.. If you saw what shape the stuff was in when I got it and how much time Ive put into it you would understand. Not to mention all of this including a ton of other stuff had to be completed by the 19th.

Yeah the lower already had the kickstand cutout.. Not sure what kickstand he had on there but there is absolutely no way in hell to put the kickstand down without shattering the lower belly pan. I havent decided if Im going to bust out the dremel and make it work or if Im just going to leave it the way it is. Its almost just as easy to pop off the lower and throw the bike in the garage on the kickstand.. Not to mention, it will be getting street time also so I will be rotating the OEM plastics off and on.

No it doesnt.... It has a Power Race Rear and a PRC Front on there right now.. The tires re better then me or you...
