A piece of advice for all those planning on doing their first track day this year. Below is a list pretty good checklist for items to take or consider taking to the track for your track day. 1. Helmet(s) 2. Leathers 3. Gloves 4. Race Boots 5. Back protector 6. Bike key 7. Wristwatch 8. Tools 9. Tire Warmers 10. Change of clothes 11. Sunglasses 12. Chewing gum 13. Sandwiches/snacks 14. Beverages 15. Cooler(s) 16. Ice 17. Gas can(s) full 18. Spare rags or towels 19. Maintenance stands (front & rear) 20. E-Z up 21. Portable generator 22. Extension cord(s) 23. Power distribution block (if needed) 24. Spare contact lenses and solution 25. Camera 26. Camcorder 27. Head rag (to wear under helmet) 28. Spare bike parts (brake/clutch levers, brake fluid, brake pads, etc) 29. Paddock chair 30. Sunblock 31. Underarmor gear (to wear under leathers to make it easier to get on/off) 32. Duct tape 33. Razor blades Obviously not all of these apply to everyone but you get the idea. I will tell you right now that you damn sure want to take extra clothes, socks, cooler, food, tons of drinks, and a chair, EZ up and sunglasses are like heaven. Also,, I suggest taking earplugs which somehow are not on this list. Learn to ride with earplugs in at the track.. you will love it. Items somehow not on list. 1. Ear plugs 2. Tire Guage 3. Air pump 4. zip ties and for yota... BIKE.. DONT FORGET YOUR KEY... people tend to do it.

That only works until the RSS feeds post again which like in the case of MCN is 100 fucking times a day...

Just my .02 here.. I really havent read a thread where he talked down about anyone's skill on here. As he does have a hell of alot more experience with gear, bikes, racing then most on here, the information he has given is just facts. For some reason, people tend to take facts on a forum as an offense and think they are being talked down to. If someone knows more then you about a subject, read it, and learn from it, no need to take offense. The term FAST as you put it is relative. You may be a faster then people on the street but most likely your going to get your ass handed to you at a track day in the intermediate group. You said he's not fast because he's not in AMA. Thats pretty stupid considering the sheer amount of money it takes to race and the fact that I doubt you have any idea how much coin it actually takes to do it for 1 season especially at the competitive level. I think its safe to assume that he has a bit more motorcycle knowledge then most of us on here. I've been to the track and I know his times and guess what.. The majority of the people at the track will say... "He's pretty fast" He's just giving the facts on here.. If you want to seriously work on improving your riding ability knowledge. Do a track day and learn from people that are better then you. If you think you can learn the same on the street then I will be the first to say your wrong... There is a reason that they have been asked to be track coaches and you havent... No different then sending your suspension out to get it worked on.. There is a reason you send it to them.. They know more then you and I do. People need to quit confusing facts with opinions. opinion -> you think hes not fast because he coaches and doesnt race in AMA. fact -> he has raced for years, he is fast compared to most, racing is expensive, coaching means all the free track time you can handle and discounts galore on the gear to do so. What would I rather do? Option A -> Spend around 7K or more a year for a race season. (guestimate based on some people race schedules I know. Travel, lodging, food, tires, gas, etc, etc, ) Option B -> Spend around 2K and get 20 times the amount of time on a track (guestimate based on Tires, gas, travel) I choose Option B Feel free to correct my prices Lizard as I said they were guestimates.

Go to the pharmacy, they have things there for broken fingers and toes. you will want to make sure that you have it taped to a hard material that wont bend.

How about you not inlcude the MCN links in "new posts". And in case you havent noticed, some of the MCN links require login information which is super fucking worthless to even be on here.

Most people just park at Lowes.. you should know that the land he is referring to is private and the guy hates people riding there.. Its not an open spot to ride.. you do run the risk of getting in trouble.
