  1. I see this in the future dont know if it has been done before or not but

    SAM+JP= Turbo LS1 AWD colt :)

IN-but it woul dbe a pain with a T56. There is no "bolt on" option I know of. You could use a AWD Blazer transfer case, the main case out of a Viper, the midsection that bolt to the rear of a C5 vette, And you'd still have to build your own adapter.

  2. LOL.. You're such a troll. Anybody elses' car you want to post up?

We all know you fucking humped the 4G63 in that car while you "facilitated" David.

I actually assembled the first motor for the car, and fabricated most of the header.

But you are indeed the expert in speed here. Im sure you have tuned 8 second street cars, Im sure you have built 150+ trap speed street cars. I am sure you have pioneered engine swaps (more than one mind you) that no one has done before.

I am sure you have built or designed parts for some of the fastest cars and bikes in our hobby of various make, and model. (Stephanie Eggum, Albert Lioe-a-tjam, Dennis MOTORHEAD, Busa Wade...).

And beyond all that-Im sure you yourself have owned, and Jockeyed, some one the fastest street cars and bikes every to be on this forum. With all your have done, Im sure my qualifications for making shit go fast would pale in comparison. So, what does your resume of experience include?

  3. Yup. I Dont know shit.

This is the Corolla we switched to since the Starlet was so sketchy up top.

    http://www.buschurracing.com/racing-jerrytoyota.htm

I had my hands on this car more than Dave Buschur himself. I was actually the one that facilitated David tuning the car when we switched to AEM. It was only 60lbs heavier than the starlet, stock for stock.

But yes, I don't know what I'm talking about. I am sure you have much more experience than I with very high HO light, RWD platforms. So, I will let you, the expert, have the reins here.

  4. My Eyeballs is all the research I need. I have witnessed one on the scale, stock 12a. 1875 lbs GLS-SE will weight more.

Is that the only point your going to refute? Thats not much of an argument brosef.

  5. 80's Toyota Starlet trumps the FB by far.

    Starlet- 1,652 lb

    FB RX7- 2,300 lb

RWD, solid rear axle, ford 8.8 is nearly direct swap, easily tubbed, huge aftermarket.

    So says the Toyota nut-swinger.

    1) Those weights you are comparing is a STOCK STARLET to a 5.0 swapped FB! LOL FB's are way under 2k with Rotaries in them, and I have seen a stock starlet on a scale, and it was over 1800lbs.

    2) Aero sucks if he's trying to do anything involving highway racing/standing mile

    3) FB is longer he's trying to do anything involving highway racing/standing mile

    4) FB has MUCH better aftermarket/factory options (GLS-SE brakes, suspension..ect)

    5) Have fun finding a starlet for 2 dollars. There are 5 clean FB shells for sale, right now (one being a GLS-SE big brake/rear end car) for sale right now for $500 and down.

  6. So are you suggesting I do a FB?

Lightest RWD solid axle you will find with any aftermarket.

Since its solid Axle- easily/cheaply upgradeable to unbreakable parts.

    Great aero for the price

Easy to find rust free shells, since Rotary motors are as reliable as aids in Africa.

I only know of one, stock as aids, and it goes bottom 11's on chrome wheels and street tires.

  7. I am looking at doin something that hasn't been done already which will be hard or something that is not a very common swap. I have searched for 510's alot and they are hard to come by if they are not a pile of rust. I dunno. Like I said, I am in no hurry at all to do anything right now. I have a 1000 I can ride in the summer and I got a few cars I can jump into if needed.

    FB

    F Fucking B .

Maybe I'm wrong but I know something changed on the rules. Maybe it has to do with collections and how far in the process you are and if it has to do with wage garnishments and/or "the return date." It also depends on your debt/income ratio also so many factors for even getting a Ch7 approved...

Personally I think it's all BS unless you have medical bills or something like that.....but just STUPID spending should not be allowed...

I agree, its BS. But, unfortunately most sleazy lawyers can get even questionable CH.7 By a judge.

  9.

I won't do something like that. My thoughts are if you get yourself in some financial shit, then you better be able to get out of it. In the past you had people doing this crap intentionally to wipe away the debt and keep there high end lifestyle. Now that the rules have changed and CC's don't fall under that(CC debt doesn't go away), people are having a lot harder time playing these stupid games just to keep up with the Joneses....

    Oh yes, it does.

If you are granted a Ch7, its wiped away. Period. Ch13, you go one repayment plan. I refer people to a BK almost every day.

Also consider the Fastest, and one of the highest grossing, guy on this board has literally made his living on debt settlement, the back alley abortion aversion to BK.

Go ahead an pm Atomicfusion and tell him he's doing it wrong.

Again, I dont agree with BK, I have a 791 FICO, I live well within my means. I was just saying its an option, and if I was 30,40,50k in debt, and had reduced income, my FIRST CALL would be to a BK attorney.

  10. since i was 18 i racked up over $25k in credit card debt and i made my last payment last summer it felt great...and i'll have my parents paid back the 3 grand i owe them when i get my taxes then all i will have is my car and the $1800 i just put on a credit card for a new t.v.

Since people already covered the silly TV purchase-

When you were 18, why didn't you BK? If you had the lack of income for a Ch.7, you'd have a clean slate. Although I have never filed for BK, and hope to never have to, Donald Trump even said that if you have not filed for BK at least once in your life, your not talking full advantage of the American financial system.

  11. Just for reference, most "good" rates cant be touched unless you are under 31% on the front end, the best under 24% (all borrowers combined) and 740+FICO.

If your over 38%, you qualify (depending on lender and servicer) for the HAMP program, Obama's homeowner bailout that gets you to a 2% mortgage rate with some principal payoff. That means over 38% uncle Sam even sees you as being pretty fucked.

  12. It's this line of thought that has placed us in the current housing mess. Banks and Builders have combined to fool the general public that someone making $30k a year can afford to finance a $200k house. I understand that the afore-mentioned numbers are on the extreme end and well out of the "3x" range, but it's the truth.

Over the last 20 years it's been apparent, especially in Muirfield, that a large majority of people are mortgaged to the eyeballs, and when thier income dips even a small amount due to the economy, for sale signs pop up like mushrooms after a spring rain. These mid-managers reach $200k a year and buy a $400k house only to lose it within 3 years.

My rule of thumb is that my mortgage payment will never exceed a two week gross paycheck, with a threshold of $2k a month, and/or for a total mortgage amount not to exceed 1/10th my total retirement savings, no matter what my current income level would be.

I like the stance, and yes the 3xGross is a great laymans way to look at it. But- how can you stand on your soap box, then follow it up with

My rule of thumb is that my mortgage payment will never exceed a two week gross paycheck,

Your saying you'd put yourself in a 50% front end DTI scenario?! I see that as being doomed to fail. I could not even get something like that past underwriting unless you put 20% down and it was table funded!
