Because If I'm at "0", then I can "sell" 6 cars this calendar year (I wont even get into the difference between listing, and selling), If I am at "7" even though this said rule came into effect within the last 30 days, then I obviously wont be posting anything here. I played college ball as well so that would make it really fun then. I havent thrown off a mound in years but last time I did it was just like riding a bike for me. I want to get into a mens league but being that I am in the landscaping business summer and spring are my busy months at work and I doubt I would have the time.

The time frame of buying the car and selling it for $2000 more can be considered flipping cars and the mods made the call. If it was his first or even 4th corral thread then it probably would have been ignored.

Maybe, I have become slower since I have gotten heavier. And bring the fastball, I played college ball, I had no issues hitting 90mph with wood bats. I actually have more issues with knuckle balers than anything else.

Large wheels is such an American look, IMO. You look at a lot of European and Japanese cars, they tend to run much smaller sizes than you find here. I'm definitely going after a completely different look that isn't accepted as well, but that's not the point.. it's because I enjoy it myself.

That was pretty much the list I came up with. While I'm settled on an E36, it's the hatch. 2800ish after the swap, and a little trimming it won't be gutted by any means. Leather interior, A/C, P/S all stay intact. The parts required for the swap are way cheaper than the FB or FC, and the only oddity is forward facing headers. But even that isn't all that bad.

 

I doubt Sam would want to do something like that after the E30, With what he has to work off of I'd vote FB.

If you are comparing the E36, you have to compare the 3 IRS cars on this list.

Miata- SO much lighter its no worth comparing. For going Fast Miata >E36

FC- Lighter by several hundred pounds, and the BEST brakes of anything on that list, and FAR superior to the E36. Also easier to find, Better Aero-and stronger LSD rear end stock (TII) FC > E36

S13/14. Lighter, better aftermarket, hell of a lot cheaper.

But if you are anal about leather interior, E36 is for you.,

e30 has to be somewhere on that list.

You can find any of the above much cheaper than an E30.

Also, they are not at all "light", and have notorious rear sub-frame issues.

Listen-I have researched this years ago in terms on the best "go fast for cheap" RWD platform. I looked at cost/easy to find CHEAP, aftermarket support, stock weight, wheel base, width, tire size (max rear size), stopping power/upgradeability of stock brakes, strength of stock drive line.

For these factors, I came up with

1)FB

2)Miata

3)FC

4)S13/14

5)Fox Body (Notch)

After that-"good" swap shells get to expensive and/or hard to find to go on my short list.
