I have an opportunity to get a 110v wire feed welder for next to nothing, I'm not sure what these even go for, but is it something worth having in the garage? There has only been a hand full of times I ever needed to weld anything, and I have access to everything I need at work. I might be more inclined to do some small welding projects or at least teach myself a thing or two if I had one, but are they strong enough at 110v to really weld anything?
If its gas shielded, then yes. I have built near 2000whp worth of just my personal cars in my one car garage with a harbor freight "Fischer price special"

Yes, I don't think that will be an issue.

Things are looking good. Also, Thanh said that modern domestic v8 cars are welcome. This is including the shops that cater to them. I can tell you its cheaper than any flier can get you, but I wont post any numbers until we can finalize how we can distribute this price to our members.
It should be a LONG night.

You are not Don King, or anywhere close.
Your 100% right.
After the past few months, you would think Im Lexington Steele.
Its been a good switch.

No option for a tail seat?
The hoes no likey.

Im checking into Domestic availability.

Roth IRA is calling. Your not going to be 20 forever.
360 Modena later > 11 second stang now.
If your dead set on dumping 6k into a 10k car, Your largest gain in power will be with a turbo kit. Bolt it on- add 150+whp at all times, and spend the other 2500 on suspension components.

I'm in like flinn.
It would be hot to have a section with all of our cars. I can see bad things happening If I had a press pass.... lol
Good thinking-I will see what I can do for you.

I would definitely attend if it was discounted/free. I am assuming NON-imports are also welcome to this meet?
I will speak with Tahn tomorrow about this. even if we cant get your car INTO the show-am trying to get a discounted rate for our members.
And then- shenanigans afterwards.

This is the first official (legitimate) DK event.
HIN in Columbus is May 31, 5 to Midnight.-after which we plan on holding CL vs CB 08.
Then, we have Import face off at Dragway 42, on June 1st.
You guys can see where I am going with this….but to make a long story short, I am in talks with the event promoter of HIN right now, and working with the people at IFO to get us ALL a discounted rate of entry into the show, and attendance if you done have a car. This will be done under the assumption that we are a united car community, “CR” as it may be. (Cleveland Racing, and Columbus racing).
I have to talk to Anthony about some of my ideas since this is his site, but this have potential to benefit all of us, not only now, but into the future.
How many of you would be cool with a situation like this? At worst- we get into events, and in the future parts and service-at a discounted rate. Also, how many of you will attend HIN-and would be more coaxed to attend if it was cheaper?
Tell your friends that are not on CR as well about this opportunity. Please-post you thoughts.

Dunlap Qualifiers are good for the twisties at a reasonable price.

There's more LSX RX-7's in Columbus than I thought!
Did you think I was BS'in?

Ride it home?

Good point on the we. We are business partners and happen to be building the exact same setups. Afterall, we are so competitive, neither one of us would let the other one build a car faster then the other one. Plus building the cars at the same time saves us a little money because we are purchasing 2x everything.
I guess I could detail exactly what's in my car and then Mark could just copy paste my post so that the 'we' can be droped. Also, the 'we' incorporates IPS as well, since they have spent a ton of time in research helping us making the right decisions.
What is the business?
-
Yeah-maybe NA. Its way off on the Colt, and the RX-7

HOLY FUCK...
I know people that could not pull that off.

To walk a C6Z like that, you've got to be putting down some serious power. Racing all last year, I didn't see a single car get walked like that.
You guys must have not been racign many fast cars.
That Porsche is a low 140's car going down hill
With a tail wind
And a 90 pound asian woman driving it.

I thought this last year and it didn't happen. You will only have a few chances to do it. Once you make passes in the 10's you will get the boot. This is the calculator I use and it comes close to my dyno numbers.
That calculator seems pretty far off, biased on my real world experiences.

Oh dont worry boys- I dont have time for another project!
