  1. one of my favorite motogp quotes of all times were about melandris wife. and it came from marco simochelli. it was in an interview with RRx, they asked how different the garage is going to be with heroshi vs having melandri in the garage he proceeded to say about the only thing thats going to chance is the view i had that was supplied by the other side of the garage.
  2. yeah as of right now its my only choice, and funny you should mention the rear brake because youre right, IT SUCKS!!! i dont really have and explanation for why it is as bad as it is but it is terrible. and the fronts arent much better either, i took it for a nice breaking in ride on saturday and i was amazed at how nice the bike rode and actually cornered but when it came down to the brakes i was amazed as well but for the worse... im hoping with the added lbs that the bags will be holding will help with this a little, though most of my riding woulnt really concern hard stops, luckily!
  3. yeah i will be out there for a week and i told them i would probably be taking the bike out for another day or two... so its all good. on a side note i just picked up a set of saddles and just threw them on and im pumped. looks like i will be dealing with rain most of the day tomorrow though...
  4. meh... look at elias... he more than proves that its not all about the bikes, hes struggling on a bike that was half way decent last year.... motogp is a different animal from any other race series out there. the other thing i can compare it to is very high end forms of karting. with short races and the bashing on and off the track and very few passes BUT the passes mean something and are race changing.
  5. yeah but in strategy wise why would it be worth it for pedrosa to do anything else.... he knew his race and it what he was capable of and waited to make sure he had it in the bag before he did anything stupid. thats a mature racer in any race series anywhere limited risk with an opposing amount of reward. sucked entertainment wise yes but thats a race you will not find anywhere else. thats why motogp is motogp.
  6. ....really i thought overall it was a good race, boring at times but i thought it was good. as much as this pains me to say this, but i was rooting for the pedrobot and he ran the utmost perfect race, end of story.
  7. Nioce sorry I couldn't make it out i tried to fit it in the schedule but couldn't. I will be stopping by soon though.

hmmmm... i wouldnt mind seeing what is to come of this....
  10. I'm going to go ahead and say I'm not going to wear my leathers for 1200 miles. I'll go ahead and say some jeans, my boots, gloves, helmet, and jacket are going to be enough. An yes all my gear is high end so I'm food there as well. And ben I'm hoping it does change my riding perspective a lot. Right now I'm ripping through back roads and rocking trackdays so this should be a good time for sure. I have a set of touring bars available to me as well so it's going to be more of a sport touring style ride so who knows my 2nd bike fund may go into a decent touring bike after this though I doubt it, my track addiction is through the roof and I need a trackday before I scratch my hair off....
  11. were looking at $100 for gas $50 for a hotel room, theyre military so a pretty decent discount, and $106 for the flight home... and i get to be there for my nieces birthday so its pretty much a win win.... they checked several shipping companies and some came close to the 250 to 300 dollar budget, thanks for checking though. much appreciated. i was sitting around looking at some alternative routes and then thought it would be best to stick to 70 until around colorado. the St, louis area is what im most afraid of right now...
  12. so as the title states im riding out to colorado next week. my sisters husband bought an 05 ninja 650r from a buddy of his here for stupid cheap and they figured the least expensive way to get it out to them was to have me ride it out there, they are paying for gas, hotel or hotels depending on how long it takes ti get out there, and my plane ticket home. so its of 0 cost to me as well. heres what i need to know. any tips for taking the ever so amazing ride through the midwest? any cool stops along the way? i plan on taking 70 to 24 into the springs. that leads me to another question, any other suggested routes?
  13. i use mink oil. its used to keep horse saddles nice and neat for years and years. it keeps my leathers soft and clean, it also waterproofs, to an extent. i usually apply one coat a year. i have had my leather jacket for 4 years now and it still looks and feels brand new. i know a guy who has had a horse saddle since 1970 something and mink oil is the only thing he has used to keep it clean and in tact. the thing still looks brand new.
  14. I would say your beat bet would to just keep your eyes pretty glued to craigslist... I've heard a lot more bad than good from that place....
  15. great news!!! im pumped to see what this does for the racing this year. my guess is they are feeling a good amount of stress form the circuit of the americas and thus you get this decision. but its for the good for sure! http://www.motogp.com/en/news/2011/Indianapolis+resurfacing+project+2011
  16. the sv is such a nice little bike with bodywork... never been a fan of the naked bikes though. it looks very good!
