Go with the 04-05 WRX trans. The gears are physically wider in the transmission, being stronger. Can be had all days long for about $750 ish on Nasioc. Let me know if you want me to find one for you.

One problem you are going to have is just finding someone who makes an exhaust for that particular bike. Do you know what other model of Monster exhaust will fit your bike?
