Yeah..I've seen that one..and out of all the colors I like that one the best...but IMHO the Firebolt in that scheme looks WAAAYYY better. I'm sorry..I'm trying to like the big hoover suction pods on the side and the retarded Yamaha front end..but it's just not doing it for me. If I'm going to step down (LOL..I said DOWN) to a discontinued bike, at least let me love the styling. I can say, I truly love the styling on the Lightning. Someone go out there and find me a Cherry Bomb Red XB12Ss. Close by.

Ugh..I can't complain too much about the sales staff on my second trip..although it took almost 25 minutes before someone even acknowledged I was there, and I won't mention the idiot customers. I had to school one of them about the Thunderstorm vs. the Rotax. If you make a pit stop can I wipe your shield and serve you water before you take off again? It seems Shitty will be riding pussy up and down the street in Lorain. Not sure if that will get him a ticket.... I did a track day with a borrowed suit in the 06. It wasn't at Mid Ohio. You have a point about being turned loose. I'll just try to keep Rt60 in the back of my head. There is a BIG difference in the seat of the 12Ss Long, and the XB12Scg and XB9SX. The latter two feel like a rock compared to the Long....and they aren't hard seats at all, it's just that going from the Ss straight to the other two is THAT big a difference. Really, I'm just looking to tool around with something halfway fun that can chop some corners up. The ZX10 beats my body like a limp dick...I love it, but damn it's a love/hate relationship. And $5-6K for an 09 with a 2 year warranty is hard to pass up. Plus it looks tits.

I've already done a track day on the 10. So I know what I'm in store for. The carnage only comes into play when the brain decides to do something stupid. That being said, I swapped bikes (A Gixxer....shh don't tell anyone) and I could tell a big difference in handling. The Kaw had the power over the Gixxer...but didn't seem to translate it to the pavement as well as the Gixxer did with less power. I understand your 'concern' about learning on the 10...but if I want to go learn me some more, I'll take the XB (assuming I were to buy one). My legs aren't sore from riding UP...my legs are sore from the god awful seat that's on the bike and the angle it's on. I'm pretty sure I know the difference. I know for a fact that the 12Ss won't stab me in places like the ZX10 does. Matter of fact, I just LEFT LE HD to see if they had it in red...and tried the seat out again. Remind me never to go into an HD shop with gear and a backpack on. Fucking morons.

This is exactly what I was typing!! I like my ZX10, but an all day session of corner carving leaves my ass and legs sore. Plus the stance puts way too much pressure on my broken wrists. I sat on the XB12Ss yesterday, and I could have fallen asleep on the seat. The XB12Scg was a little less comfy, but still leaps and bounds over the ZX10. So I'm thinking of retiring the ZX10 to track duty, and everything else on the XB12.

Yeah...I know...I know. But the aesthetics of the 1125 kill any desire to throw it around a corner. Plus, I already have my balls to the wall ride. If I got one, I'd want something fun for the street..where I can feel some power in the low end RPM range. I don't need the ability to do 150+ on the street. Something smaller..more comfortable (!!!!!)..and brand new at a used price is looking good. If the 1125 had the Firebolt styling w/ the Rotax, I'd be selling Kev's wife to pay for it yesterday.

..trying to decide if the Thunderstorm is worth it... I just can't bring myself to consider the 1125.

The above advice is assuming you can get into a Doc's office in the immediate future. I am in no way implying that you should suffocate on your own fluids and die while waiting for the next Dr's appointment. By all means, if you can't get in to see your Doc...take your ass to Urgent Care STAT!

If you are going to go see a doctor, DO NOT go to Urgent Care. Call your family doctor. Urgent Care is like going to the emergency room when it comes to insurance. Trust me on this one. Unless your insurance specifically says urgent care is covered like a doctor's visit...you'll be shitting bricks when you get the bill. Been there ..done that. And it sounds like your insurance is shitty anyways...so I'm guessing they don't want you going to urgent care if you can go see the doctor in his office (cheaper for them). Good luck.

Maybe try a free clinic in your area? Might have to wait 2 weeks in the waiting room. The long drawn out cough while coughing up crap is going around.

Matte black is EXTREMELY hard to keep looking like...well...matte black. I had a HJC helmet that was matte black. Cool as fuck to look at , but every little touch (oil from the skin) or even a little rub against something created a spot on it that didn't quite match the rest of the helmet. If HD is cutting it's nose off to spite its face, I am truly..truly disappointed. Not that I wasn't disappointed in them before...but now it's two "truly's". Before, it was just one truly.

If your dealer already has a 2010, or ordered one before last week, then you'll see it on the floor. Otherwise, it ain't happening. There are a few out there (Anyone who has access to AAFEES..you're in luck), but you'd be hard pressed to find them. Dealers still have 08's on the floor..so I don't think they were falling over themselves to bring 10's in the door. I can't get over how ugly the 1125R is, even though it performs. I think I like the CR better..but since I'm not selling the ZX10, I'm leaning more towards the Lightning for street duty. I want something fun on the street ..and something dedicated for track duty. buuuttttt....it's hard to ignore the pricing on the 1125's.

But probably not as fun. Stripper's asses withheld and all that.

I sat on that Firebolt today. I might have left some cum stains...so disregard if you buy the bike. That bike is stickered at $5499...and I don't remember seeing any other Firebolts in the back. And it's definitely the only white Buell in the place. The salesman says he went to High School with Ben.
