lulz "These are not the droids you are looking for"
-
I don't want them to be ranked the whole damn year. Let them play the underdog the whole season.
-
And you'll never see one. There's too much money tied up in the bowl games. The schools would lose MAJOR $$$ if the bowl games lost their 'importance'. If someone comes up with a system that preserves the cash infusion that the schools get, then it will come to pass. Until then...it's a pipe dream.

Agreed. ANY win against ND was a big win for UM. This whole season will be spent having something to prove to other teams. UM is STILL rebuilding. Don't let 2-0 fool anyone (or 6-0)..this team still needs a lot of work ..and talent. BUT..beating a ranked team with a TRUE freshman quarterback...in the second year of a new system, with totally new athletes...yeah, it's a big win. I don't buy into that 'only 4 points' bullshit. It's still a win. You think OSU feels good because they lost by less than 10?
-
I understand that..but just because you're ranked in the top 25 doesn't mean you deserve to be there. That was my point..it's early in the season and nether one of these teams has been consistently tested yet.
-
Neither UM or ND is a top 25 team...yet. UM has a lot of holes, BUT is 500% better than last year. Getting rid of the traditional Big 10 athlete makes a big difference. Rich Rod needs another year before you can begin to pass judgement. ND...well...Jabba The Weiss coached himself to a loss. A few questionable coaching decisions erased, and UM doesn't have enough time left to mount the winning drive.

Um...you obviously didn't bother reading what I typed. My post had NOTHING to do with Tressel. I'm not sure how much clearer I could be. Carr failed against OSU, but his football career is FAR from being a failure. Understand?
-
My point is, Carr is NOT a complete failure. Anyone who amasses his winning record and a National Title can't be considered a failure. Did OSU own him? Of course!! That doesn't mean his whole career as a coach was a failure. That's my point.

+1 on the mistakes and penalties. Still a lot of room for improvement. That DB Cissoko, or whatever his name is..was getting TORCHED the whole game. The UM secondary is still a weak link in the chain. I don't think anyone is calling this a 'blow out'. If they are, they need to re-watch the game. Still, a win is a win. No one remembers how you won, just that you won. Forcier is a pretty damn good QB, considering he's a true freshman. I'm not thrilled about the lack of penetration from the D line...especially seeing how small they are. Quick, yes. But you still need to get pressure on the QB. That's gonna be a big problem against OSU.
-
VERY VERY true. OSU will bounce back and be in the thick of things at the end of the year. OSU's D line stuffed the run, and that was the key to staying in the game. Even though they lost, I HAVE to give props (OMG I actually said that) to the athletes on the field.
-
Against OSU, yes. But last time I checked...UM had a National Title. How'd that game taste last night?
-
Yeah, but does it run Linux? JK Nice find!! Enjoy

No one is coming to the Internet to have their opinions changed, folks. Healthy debate is great exercise and all that, but when the name calling, accusations, snide remarks, personal attacks etc starts then it stops becoming a debate and morphs into something else. I'd suggest that anyone who feels strongly on this, or any topic, get off of Al Gore's internet and use that energy ..in a constructive way..to further your cause. Whatever it may be. *Heading back to the real world*

Physically, I don't think I'm going to make it. The body isn't cooperating today.
-
Luck?? LOL The haters are out in force! Give Forcier SOME credit. He's a freshman performing at a senior level.
-
Ah.. Were the new folks from BikeStyles? The ones who took a tumble?
-
Bikestyles?? How did it get on there?

There is a lot of lulz hidden here.

I really want to go...but they moved the funeral to Sunday. It doesn't start until 6:30..but I'd have to leave early and head home after a few hours of riding. As much as I want to cram it in..Sunday is a bad day for me.

Who said anything about hiding them?

I see Sprint just announce a $69.99 Unlimited Mobile to Mobile plan, which includes data, txt, gps, pictures. From what I read, people on the more expensive 'everything' plans will automatically get this lower plan. With taxes and everything else, I pay $62 for my 1250 SERO (Fair and Flexible). I guess if you add in GPS, this new plan is pretty close. I'd need to see what the rate was for calls to landlines and if this is Sprint mobile to ANY mobile. UPDATE: Sprint on Thursday introduced a plan that provides unlimited calling from Sprint phones to any other mobile phone, regardless of provider. Pricing for the Any Mobile, Anytime plans starts at $69.99, and that also includes unlimited data, unlimited messaging, and 450 anytime minutes to landline phones. A second option, for $89.99 per month, will provide 900 minutes to landline phones. Unlimited mobile-to-mobile calling will also apply to family plans. A family plan with two phone lines, unlimited data and messaging, and 1,500 anytime minutes will start at $129.99 per month. Three lines would cost about $150 per month, four lines would be $170 per month, and five lines would be $190 per month. A family plan with 3,000 minutes starts at $169.99 for two lines and goes up to $230 per month for five lines. Those prices do not include taxes and fees. Night and weekend minutes begin at 7pm. Current Sprint customers who already subscribe to an Everything Data plan from the provider will automatically be upgraded to Any Mobile, Anytime at no extra charge on the first day of their next billing cycle. Customers on other plans will also be permitted to upgrade to Any Mobile, Anytime without being required to renew their contracts. In January, Sprint Nextel subsidiary Boost Mobile introduced an unlimited calling and texting plan for $50 per month. Verizon Wireless, AT&T, and T-Mobile currently offer unlimited individual monthly calling plans for $99.99 per month.

http://chronicle.northcoastnow.com/2009/09/09/beach-services-planned-for-marine-lance-cpl-david-hall/ LORAIN — A memorial service for Marine Lance Cpl. David Hall is planned 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at Lakeview Park in Lorain. Sunday’s memorial service will be on the beach, and arrangements are being made to accommodate a crowd up to several thousand people, said Lora Hall, sister of Hall, who was killed by an improvised explosive device Aug. 31 while patrolling in Afghanistan. “We’ll have plenty of chairs set up for older people and anyone with back problems or who has trouble sitting down on the beach,” she said. Hall People who prefer to sit on the hillside are encouraged to bring their own chairs or blankets. The two-hour service is being designed to focus on honoring David Hall, Lora Hall said. “We want to celebrate David’s life, but it will also honor all active duty men and women still in harm’s way,” she said. Full military honors will be observed, and Hall’s casket will be carried by an honor guard onto a stage set up on the beach. Discussions are still under way about other details of the service, which will close with a 21-gun salute “that’s set to be done right at sunset,” Hall said. “That should be beautiful.” If people are unable to attend the service and David Hall’s closed-casket visitation or uncertain which to come to, the family is encouraging “as many as we can to join us at the memorial service,” Lora Hall said. David Hall’s body is scheduled to arrive at Cleveland Hopkins International Airport from Dover, Del., at 4:30 p.m. Thursday. A motorcade will accompany the soldier’s body through Lorain, according to his sister. The exact route has yet to be determined, but Lora Hall said it would likely pass by Southview High School, her brother’s alma mater, Lorain City Hall and Lakeview Park. “The specifics of the route still have to be worked out by the police. Our intent is to have as many people who want to come out and line those streets.” Visitation for David Hall will be 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Dovin & Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst.
