The Gulf War, was in a BIG part due to oil. Kuwait has some crazy % of the World's oil. We weren't the only one's there that time. But the oil was an underlying issue. #1 Goal, was pushing the Iraqi's out of Kuwait, in which did not belong to them. (Operation Desert Storm/Shield became "Gulf War" - Where as currently this is Operation Iraqi Freedom. We never declared war.)

Running a Harris bi-pod on a SAW? I'm guessing you guys have the short barrels and the collapsable buttstocks too. We had the vertical grip bi-pods for all our SAW gunners. Those actually did the trick for the most part. Only really used our bi-pods during our OP's or ambushes.
