im dropping it off at my friends moms (she does leather repair) to see if it can be fixed. if it can ill still rock it, if not then ill go buy another suit. im still uber jacked about the situation right now!

got my s1 piece alpinestars suit in today.. came ups while i was at work. wife had it laying in the computer room while she was taking a shower, came out to find the dog (the one that never chews on anything) had chewed the sleeve. about 3 inches of the sleeve is gone. well my good buy turned into shit! highly doubt its repairable at all. plus it will probably cost more to repair than whats its worth fixing. fucking shitty! atleast it wasnt a brand new suit. but still $225 down the drain!! :mad: :mad: :mad:

there is actually going to be a full out touring model of the VFR launched in the next year. comes wiht a taller wider windscreen, factory hard bags already on it and some other garbage. i was hoping this bike to be more than what it is. i like the bike, i think its a great idea, but its getting away form the sport side of the VFR. ill keep my Viffer, and maybe just pick up a 5th gen VFR, or a CBR of some sort

nice buy Buildit! IP JR is the man, i have been down there like 7 times in the last couple of weeks, trying jackets, leather suits, boots, and gloves on. he has been a tremendous help!

yeah i tried on the GPs, i just liked the SP1s better. i have been checking out that MX-1 jacket like you have, im up in the air between that or the SP1 jacket. than ill be done shopping for a while lol

what are your winter projects for the bike? for me.. Maintenance stuff: 1. new chain and sprocket RK 520GXW Gold X'ring Chain & Steel Sprocket Conversion Kit going with steel sprockets for longevity since i do quite a bit of touring on it. 2. new spark plugs 3. Clean the air filter 4. replace the clutch and brake fluid 5. drain the antifreeze and put some fresh stuff in 6. New Michelin Pilot Road 2s 7. New front brake pads Goodies: 1. Hid Kit for my low beams 2. Frame sliders 3. maybe a Power commander and tune 4. Possibly braided brake and clutch lines 5. Heli bars thats about as much as i can think of now.

ill add my 2 cents... i have a Shoei X-11 and its by far the quietest, best ventilating, most stable, lightest, and most comfortable helmet i have ever owned. When its worn out, ill be buying an X-12 i dont think ill buy anything but another Shoei helmet. I just bought the wife a Shoei RF-1000, and she loves it. states the same things that i have said about my x-11. so either one of those is a great choice IMO check out some reviews on them on youtube, and then get your ass to the pony and try some on. they also have the different size cheek pads in stock, so if you need a bigger set you can pop different ones in to see what you need and go from there. the pin lock shield deal mentioned above works great to help with fogging. i had one on the old nolan and it worked wonders. but beware if you put one on your head you will buy it! i used to think you could get a good helmet for under $300.. but honestly you get what you pay for.. i have not used an Arai or Suomy, but people rave about them too. all i know is the shoei fit me perfect, and there isnt another helmet that can touch it IMO.

i really like the raider but please take that ugly ass chrome strip off the sides of the tank.. its tacky as well
