  3. yeah i started a thread about closing my business out, i got a new position at Honda, which requires more time, and im making alot more money. so in order to keep the wife and myself happy i really needed to make a change. im still doing some work on the side though.
  4. well hopefully for you he backs out
  5. found this on Craigslist, looks like a decent deal. a little on the high side price wise, but a little negotiating could get you a stellar touring setup for a great price.\ http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/3639407693.html

  8. Official business is closed, but i still do some work on the side. thanks for bringing the bike over Tyler, it was fun to work on, glad you like the setup. youll be ready to rock the twisties when the weather gets warm.
  9. wanted a new top case for the Multistrada, my old one worked well, but i wanted something a tad bigger, was dead set on a Ducati Top Case, then started exploring other options because i couldnt see spending $670 ona top case jsut because it said Ducati on it. Coocase, a little to much going on with them for my liking. alot of reflectors and gadgets (on a top case why do you need a remote to lock and unlock?) Givi, quality products, but again they are a little to overly flashy, alot of red reflectors, lights and nonsense. Although i like the mounting system they have, which would allow me to hold more weight in the trunk. and Shad, a spanish company that has been around a little bit, and really has just started to make a name for themselves in the last 5 years in the US. I have seen shad cases before, and the quality was there. So i checked out some of the new cases they have out. came across the SH48 and just loved the look of the case, and the function. will hold 2 large full face helmets in it, has a better profile than the GIVI, and is cheaper to boot. I love the latching system, and the fact that you dont need the key to latch the lid closed ( i sometimes would leave my key in the lock on my old bag and ride off with it dangling), a simple push of the lock pops the handle up and then just pull up on a lever to open the case. The key is needed to full remove the case from the mount though. They also made a mounting kit for my bike, nice clean design and fit and finish is top notch. I also ordered the backrest pad kit for it, it came ith an upper and lower pad, but after the wife tested it out, the lower pad was affective for her, so i didnt install it. Also the Shad is the lightest 48L case on the market, which is a plus, the less weight up top the better. I ended up calling shad direct, and they gave me a great price on the whole setup which was way below the price of a GIVI setup. i ike the way it looks on the bike and im sure it will function even better. Hopefully ill get a chance to test it out here soon.
  10. harbor freight has wheel chocks.. the ones i have on my trailer are from there. the motorcycle mags usually have coupons for them as well
  11. Iron Pony has them as well. they get pretty good reviews online
  12. you get the folding version? remember to take the wheel bearings out and use some GOOD bearing grease.. pack them then throw them back in.
  13. its a trailer tongue box, got it at TSC
  14. ive been extremely busy and havent had any time to finish the trailer up. i finished as much as im gonna do for now lol.. will be using this to haul down to florida in a few weeks. didnt really have much left to do except mount a tongue box, mount some D rings for tiedown points, and mount my spare tire carrier and spare wheel and tire. gonna pick up a spare set of bearings before i leave as well. still gotta go get it registered the tongue box is a perfect fit, and will hold 2 helmets, 2 sets of boots, 2 sets of leathers, and gloves. which is exactly what i was hoping for. welded in some bracing to strengthen the a frame as well as give me some mounting points for the tongue box.
  15. beIN Sports and Al Jazeera are the channels that will be carrying it.. unfortunately i does not have. so ill be refraining from any media outlets till i can download it and watch it
  16. im odd man out i guess.. me and the wife have the Interphone F5 kits. they are freaking awesome. great battery life, awesome interface, great design, and they even offer a handlebar mount control so you dont have to reach up to your helmet to change songs, turn volume up, or whatever else. the only other kit i have used is the chatterbox XBI2, and the interphone blows it out of the water. has a range of like 1.5 miles, FM radio built in, and tons of other features.
  17. Brian is there any chance you can get ducati to bring some panigales to mid o.. i want a few laps on one.
  18. i would buy an 1199 in a heartbeat without even riding one. i bought the multi without riding it, and if i rode it before hand i would have probably not worked the deal as hard, i would have paid more for it lol. the bike is just so sorted, and there is nothing on the market that can compare for me. for what i want to do with it its just plain works, and works amazing. and all the features, ABS, TC, riding modes, make the bike what it is. And the ungodly power the engine makes.. my lord.. what a fucking machine.. a touring bike that can give any supersport a run for its money in the canyons. im not a super ducati fan boy either. i always like the look of the Ducatis and what they offer, but the maintenance intervals, and the stereo type kinda shyed me away a bit. and the price! but prices are high on all bikes now. and Ducati offers some premium, well made and well engineered bikes that flat out rock. i have followed the Panigale since i first heard of it being developed. its a truly amazing bike. reminds me of when i heard about the new R1 with the cross plane crank , i was in love with that new technology, the sound, the engineering that went into it. im a sucker for the latest and greatest achievements in engineering on bikes. and ducati is on top of their game right now. my perspective, the Panigale is the bike to own, if i was able to buy one i would, but my riding style won't allow it. (the wife either =-)) this isnt some nut swinging post either... i truly love the Panigale, ill own one one day, or whatever next engineering amazement that might come out when im ready/wife will let me buy.
  19. thats a nice suit! love to have one, but the wife says no =(
  20. Shoei Helmets for me.. best helmet i have ever worn. had an RF1000, X11, and now rocking a RF1100 the suomy helmets are very nice as well, and super freaking light! but the shoei is a quieter helmet, and fits my melon muuuuuch better.
