  1. Oh of course it's capability is not used to it's fullest in the CB1000F as is typical of nakeds.
  2. What your personal bike on some random dyno at some bike night that god knows how it's calibrated? lol Sorry, I'll take the manufacturer's word for it.
  3. Hey, no problem thanks for posting with clarity and resorting to name calling.
  4. Welcome! I've got an old Yammie that I'm trying to get motivated to cafe-itize.
  5. Those pipes are awful, aren't they? I think the bike overall is hot though.
  6. People have been mistaking crank numbers with wheel numbers this whole thread.
  7. You must not have any friends because, friends don't let friends ride Katanas.
  8. You'd have to assume the base model will be close in line with the Z1000 and FZ1 in regards to pricing. Nakeds are a hard enough to sell in the US to price one way above the others. That's why my Tuono sat unsold for 2 years. Unless you have a major hard-on for Italian bikes who's going to pay $13k for a naked when you could grab an FZ1 for $3-5k cheaper (in 2008)
  9. I'm with ya. I'm very happy we're getting more nakeds too. I hope the cross-plane crank ends up in the FZ1 at some point. I am still a fan of Yamaha. Hell, I would've had an FZ1 if my friend who's a Yammie rep could've worked a comparable deal (to my Tuono) with me.
  10. Just get a new Striple. Not a fan of the new lights but, with the optional shield it's very tolerable.
  11. 125-ish at the crank... http://www.mbike.com/honda/cb1000r/2011 I know what I'm talking about.
  12. I own a 2008 Aprilia Tuono and 3 1975 Yamaha TX500s.
  13. Traded in on a Harley. BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
  14. There's not snowball's chance in hell that bike is making 130 to the wheel. Besides when have you ever known a manufacturer to quote WHP? They can't really. An engine dyno is much more accurate and the results much more repeatable within tight parameters. A bike or car on other dynos will have results that vary drastically.
  15. Okay, I take back some of the horrible things I was going to type about you.
  16. Walmart has always had saddlebags...
  17. You ride a GSXR your opinion on on bike aesthetics is null and void.
  18. Good start! I look forward to updates.
  19. She got'em fixed anyhow.
  20. Yeah, he was really raked over the coals.
  21. Exactly.... It won't be under $10k Keep in mind it goes right up against the Z1000 more than anything.
  22. Yeah, The V-Max took a jump in price. I'm with ya though Ducati is stepping into the "Power Cruiser" arena with the Diavel and I'm betting it's a lot more fun to ride than the 'Max.
  23. "Based on" implies that the bike is literally designed/built with Yamaha parts, on a Yamaha chassis, or utilizes a Yamaha engine.
  24. Then why get all angry about a bike you have no interest in or knowledge of?
  25. An expensive V-Max? The standard comes in about $2k cheaper and the carbon edition a couple hundred more. All while looking a lot better than a V-Max. I like the V-max and Yammies in general but, c'mon the V-Max is not a good looking bike.
