  1. I don't understand why I need 'hands-on experience' to understand statistics. If there's one thing I'm good at, it's numbers.

Someone has to assume the costs of a patient... what's your point? If there is a 0% chance, with complete certainty, then there's hospice and other more economical alternatives... it depends on what ailments you're talking about.

Since you're an industry insider... what costs your employer the MOST, what's the single biggest wasteful expense? Fraud, cancer, heart disease, failure to pay for services rendered? Inquiring minds want to know what Central Ohio has issues with.

And, whatever that cost is, what's your solution?

you can't ask for MOST because what cost the most is the insurance that doctors have to pay for malpractice insurance and the bill that you are supporting doesn't really do any tort reform does it? Does it say anything about giving hospitals the ability to turn away uninsured illegal aliens?

If you were good at numbers then you would have realized in the first place that this doesn't address the big issues

  2. If that's really the case, then why not make an apology thread? You and your crew had no problem bashing her in open forum, you should have no problem apologizing unless you're just blowing smoke.

i dont think you need to mess up this thread. I am not sure if an apology is necessary but you can discuss this in a PM

  3. I totally agree that people need to adjust their lifestyles... but not ALL people who smoke get cancer, just like not all people who get cancer have smoked. Same can go down the list.

I know girls that can put down more food than me and they're still wafer thin with healthy cholesterol levels.

I think there are MANY exceptions, it's not just a small few when it comes to health, so until we can figure out a root cause - what do we restrict people from doing? "Ok, since you've never smoked, we'll treat your cancer. But, since you didn't wear sunscreen all the days you went outside, we won't treat you if it's skin cancer"

If we can get the country healthy by changing lifestyles, great, grand... but if we start refusing to treat people for their ailments because of some pre-existing condition (i.e. you didn't run 5 miles a day everyday) - then we're back in the same boat as we are now.

let me know when you start working in a hospital and gets some hands on experience and stop reading links from google.

I bet if you would require a family member to assume the costs of patients with a 0% chance of recovery there would be some open beds in the hospital and some serious cash saved

  4. 1) You don't choose to get cancer, like you choose to drink and drive.

    2) I dunno if you've been reading the news... but the health care industry is the next big collapse if we don't DO SOMETHING about it

Doesn't smoking cause cancer? I can choose to smoke if I want.

Doesn't alcoholism cause liver failure? I can choose to drink.

Doesn't eating too much cause obesity? I can choose how much to eat.

Doesn't eating too much fat / fatty foods cause high blood pressure / heart problems? I can choose what to eat.

Doesn't screwing nasty people with out protection casue STD's? I can choose who I fuck.

I guess if you actually think about it we have a large influence on our overall health. There are exceptions to the rules but you might be surprised to see how many people are in the hospital because of decisions that they made. I guess we can consider the point that you made null.

  5. I guess over there all of the "fools" leave and over here everyone that is tired of their stupid shit leaves

What? You mean the people who originally were on here all the time when you joined in 2007? Yeah, they are nowhere to be found.

But for real, sometimes you just gotta draw the line and choose your battles. I mean, calling someone out because they lied about their job and made up stories about getting shot, etc. etc. is different than picking on people just because they are douches.

  6. ok well either way im not going to re-register. y would i re-register? im still me. im not going to act like someone else. Im not lieing about anything. if you guys find it hard to believe that i bought a mustang whn i was 16, got a job a KK, then save up for a SC for my car, got a wayy better job at AAA, moved into an apt and got a bike. then my frien got fucked over cause of a crazy ex and we lost the apt then so be it. cause no matter if my user name is klhkfkjjktj or jcroz91 the stories still the same.

just cause 1 of you attacked me you all jumped on my shit now you all are out to get everything i say. picking apart every word that comes out of my mouth and trying to minipulate it into me looking like a bad guy.

when its 20 ppl to one theres only so much explaining i can do. it wont over come your assumptions.

and id rather not ride with you guys. no offence but none of you are my age and tho most of you are cool i just cant stand a good few on here. its just not even worth it.

I also had a mustang at 16 that I bought with my parents money. Wow, we have so much in common!

  7. I owned some of their stock back in college when they first spun off from sprint I think I sold it somewhere around $110. What a difference a couple of years makes.

I remember buying qualcomm for over $300 a share and selling it for over $750 when they announced a 4 for 1 stock split

You need to buy some AT&T stock because your phone is not working.

  8. i think the only thing you'll find on a motogp bike that is similar to a production bike is that they are both internal combustion engines.....

motogp bikes are one-off, race-built, prototype machines. you'd find their technology implemented into production bikes only after being used on these prototypes.......for the most part, anyway.

thank you, my damn head was going to explode

  9. Besides, I prefer psychological attacks.... no evidence left behind.

So do I but on the other hand you can still get away without leaving evidence behind in a roommate situation, i.e. toothbrush dipped into the toilet.

Although sometimes it's more fun to leave evidence behind because it lets them know that you meant what you did and you don't care.

I threw away a whole box of my old roomate's crap once because she didn't want to help me clean our apartment and I wanted my security deposit back. She called the cops on me but I had already tossed the box into a dumpster down the alley from our building so there was nothing she could prove.
