You have a ZX10? YAY welcome to the world on the Ninja
Are there pics anywhere of it yet?
Find pics here:

It looks a little different already though. I went over and picked up some goodies from oncycles today.

so why not buy another R1?
Find me one for $4K with 8000 miles on it and I will!
-
LOL!!! The worm!!! That was pretty good.
-
I'll be at Cedar Point unless it's raining. I'm willing to bet that a certain someone who is not going to Cedar Point with me will probably be there on my new bike though.
-
But you got the ZX10, that can make you smile!
True, I am happy about the ZX10 but I loved the R1.
-
did you get a good deal on it?
You mean on the insurance buyback? They picked it up to do the quote. If it's a good price we will probably turn it into a track bike.
-
Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love it. Stuff like this keeps me going.
-
Yamaha of Columbus came and picked up the R1 about five minutes ago for the insurance quote. It's a sad day in shittyland. That is all.
-
So you left the baby on the bike while you were gone?
I'll bet that helped littlecarbbigsmiles know it was you!
-
Did anyone on here get a picture with the picture of the 'Busa? If so, post up your pics!

Nice score. How do you like it so far?
Make sure to get a steering damper ASAP. She likes to shake her head.
It's a blast so far. I have an Ohlins damper, I just need a mount.

So I've been debating the best way to carry my camera on long rides. I decided to take my tank bag, get a piece of foam, cut to fit, and cut out spots for my camera with a lens on it, and a place for an extra lens. I bought the foam from JoAnn's. It's 4" thick, and cost me $17.75. Here are the pics:
The foam before being cut to fit:
The foam roughly cut to shape, in the tank bag:
I took a marker and quickly traced the camera and lens:
I used an extremely sharp kitchen knife to cut out the spot for the lens and checked fitting:
And almost the final product:
I know, I'm not very good at cutting straight lines, and I know you can still see some of the marker. I don't really care how it looks. I was going for functionality. It holds the camera and lens quite snuggly. I'm happy with the results and figured someone else might want to do this. It's cheap and easy.
are you taking this on the trip "out west"

I might be game weather permitting. Just got my lines replaced today so I just need to make sure they'll be in working order after the old overnight zip tie thing.
For as slow as you ride, you could just Fred Flintstone that bitch.

No "Cheddar Bob" just tried to rap. The guy that owned that GSXR with no headlight took it home and stole a VRod and won cruiser class with it.
Is this what you meant?

im pretty sure he wasnt ever injured i think he just has something in mind
Oh, I thought since Nick was answering for him that Jay hurt his typing hand. My bad.

Ok, thinking when we first got there there would be several entries in the bike show I decided to put my bike in the cruiser contest. We got back at 5 when they were suppose to do the judging and they decided to push it to 7. We decided to hang out and ended up talking to gsxrnurse, Mr. A and a few others. They also got bored and left. We stayed. A few of the other people started riding wheelies and playing around. The guy riding the wheelies dropped his bike and the streched Zx-12 did a few burnouts. Nothing real impressive. Anyway around 7 they did the judging and a GSXR 750 took the street class. Actually a nice looking bike was blue and copper. A stock VRod took the cruiser class. No Choppers showed up so there was no award. I ended up taking the Best in Show award. The three of us that won were the only 3 that showed up for the awards. This was the first and last time I will be at this event. Oh well I got my money back for entering the show and a few extra and we got to make fun of alot of people.
Was the fat white guy with the bright ass green shorts the judge? If he was, I probably could have won best in show since his shorts matched my bike.
Did the GSXR with no headlight or gauge cluster (i.e. big hole in the front) and mismatched tank/fairings win anything?

Jay, sorry to hear about your injury

I think you should punch your boss in the face for giving you a $5K gift card instead of $5K. To the Diamond Cellar. For a dude. Seriously now.
-
Me, shitty, John, and Mr. Anderson rolled up to Hoodfest '09. We left shortly because we didn't know how to break dance. My bike also did not have the requisite 5 foot swingarm.
-
I think we are hitting some twisties today and might go here later.

so is this to replace the R1? Did you guys ever sort that issue out?
The R1 is going to the shop Monday at 4pm for an insurance estimate. I don't know if this replaces it, I guess it depends what the buyback ends up being.
-
and why didnt you drive big red or lil blue to get the bike??? lol. nice pics!!! hope you guys like the bike!!!!!!
We didn't want you to jack up the price

I've never had a good experience at bike shops. You can usually find the service manuals to download for your bike online. Maybe it will take you a minute to figure out what you're doing but at least if it's f'ed up you can only be mad at yourself.
