  1. I have never ridden a Z1000, but my dad has a ZRX1200 which is virtually identical to the 1100. It's an upright riding position with a lot of low end torque, its a blast to ride around town. The suspension is a bit outdated and the bike is heavy, but it's perfectly fine for riding on the street. As far as comparing it to a popular motorcycle, in a straight line its about equal to a 600 supersport.
  2. Yeah I see what you mean, but im just worried about the reliability of the car. Although it was on the company's wallet, the wheel bearings have gone out twice on the car, and it was also plagued with some electrical issues. These were fixed but all the repairs over the course of the cars life cost several grand. I just dont want to have a money pit on my hands.
  3. The mazda I was looking at and pretty much made my mind on is $16,335 before taxes. Talked to the guy, and buying it zero down stretching the payments out would be around $280-$300 a month. I need to get that down to around $200, oh yeah and im not interested in the KIA, if im going to be shelling out money every month for a car I want it to be for a car that I really want. KBB on the grand prix private party value is almost $10,000, so i figure if i could get anywhere close to that it would be several grand in profit.
  4. Hey guys I just wanted to get your opinion on an issue that ill be dealing with soon. I want a reliable car, preferably a new one. Ive already picked out a pretty basic 08 Mazda 3 but the payments arent where I need them to be. My dad's company car is about to expire and they are going to let him buy it for a rediculously low price of between $4000 and $5000. Its an 06 Grand Prix GT with the supercharged engine, but it does have over a 115000 miles on it. Regardless hes going to buy the car, but should we sell the car which would most definitely end in a several thousand dollar profit, and then put that towards the new mazda which should bring the payments down to where I want them. Thanks for the replies guys
  5. Im selling my leathers because they were tight to begin with and after 2 years of college, they just dont have enough room for the beer drinking. They are in perfect condition except for a small tear on the left knee (it hit at a track day because the puck was set too high). The brand is AGV Sport, im not exactly sure what model or series they are, but I know the price of them brand new was in the ballpark of $600. Id like to get $300 out of them, but that is negotiable. The size is 48

I tried to put them on ebay, but it didnt hit the reserve price. Here is the link of the old sale to give you an idea of how they look. You could also drop by my house in westerville if your local to check them out or try them on. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=017&sspagename=STRK%3AME US%3AIT&viewitem=&item=270122875491&rd=1,1

  7. Hey guys the names Bobby, I ride an 06 R1. Just traded my 04 636 for it in the winter and im loving the upgrade. I've been riding on the street religiously since I was eligiable to get a license, beginning with a 77 KZ650, then an 03 EX500. I enjoy twisty riding for the most part and have done two track days (would love to do more, just dont have the funds), the lack of twisty roads around where I live brought me to this site to find out more about what ohio has to offer riding wise.

  8. I had a hyperpro on my 636, loved it. It looked good and did the job. They also sell an active damper, the rsc model which i hear is amazing. Ohlins and scotts are also great dampers but a bit pricey.
