attempted murder might be a little off, but not much. any time you have more than 2 people of comparable age against 1, also adding the kicking and such when the kid was already on the ground and obviously beaten, doesn't bode well for the attackers' case. however if the kid was released the same day or the day after with no broken bones or serious injuries they could get off easy. either way i don't think it warrants a buses full of people shouting civil rights. also think about this and how it could relate to this case. the law in ohio reads something to the effect that you can defend yourself with lethal force if you believe your life is in danger(a 120 lbs. man against a 250lbs. man with a weapon, multiple assailants)

that would probably be the best and most hassle free idea, and you could always use that old hd for a backup. good luck with it.
-
oh, and those components should make a very good system. you might want to think about a stand alone sound card if you do alot of gaming.
-
the ideal thing to do as far as the hd would be to get a new one.I say this because in running all the things that you do, especially the file serving aspect, i wouldn't expect that hd to last much longer anyway, if it is the original hd. if that isn't a suitable idea the next would be to do something called "nuking the enum".In your registry there is a registry key called the enum, i can't remember it's exact location (i'll find it when i get home) but when you delete that key and restart the system it will have to redetect EVERYTHING.It is probably going to be about a 45 minute process on the new machine you are building. do not restart (even though it will ask you to several times) until the redetection process is totally complete, after that go into safe mode (usually f5 on bootup), device manager, and look for doubles of drivers and drivers from the previous system, remove them and restart again. With a lot of luck that will be the end of it. i do however stress that this should be looked at as a last resort. best possible case patch your old system up as cheaply as possible, build your new system with a new hd, network them and transfer your stuff that way. if you have any other questions let me know. and if you have actually read this far without falling asleep or hanging yourself, 10 points:banana:

i have some pretty good directions(gs500 wiki) i'm going to take it to run some errands today and if the problem doesn't reappear i'm probably just going to call it good
-
all i am trying to do is a simple carb sync, went out and started it tonight and the problem seems to have solved itself no weird noises smooth as silk(or as smooth as a p-twin can be) i'm thinking it might have been heat related, i was out there quite awhile and it may have just gotten to hot

could've used that in iraq:D all i got was a 50 cal and a mk19. cheap bastards:rolleyes:

you guys wouldn't believe how much i've googled i'm pretty sure it's right i just want to make sure of it, and as far as calling the suzuki shop, i'm not impressed at all with the one close to here (moraine) I'll try calling this joe guy and see what he says. is he a bike mechanic Ludefreak?
-
does anyone around here have any expirience syncing carbs and wouldn't mind helping a new guy out? i synced the carbs myself but would like a second opinion on if it was done right.
-
just as well, i have drill this weekend anyway
-
the only thing that would suck is running into a guardrail or some rocks or worst case the unsuspecting semi:eek:. other than that it would be a blast
-
ok i can't figure this out to save my life, i am in the middle of syncing my carbs i get them reading great and now at a little about idle i'm getting a pinging sound from the bottom half of the motor/tranny i can un-adjust them and it will go away but when they are adjusted perfect i get the ping. it is a 2002 gs500 and i am using a homemade tool from gstwin, i searched that site and can't find anything help me out if you can, it's got me vexxed
-
yeah i was starting to feel bad for you in those leathers man. i was starting to get hot so i know you had to be. i felt a lot more comfortable on the turns the farther we went except one glitch(damn s-turn!!!) i'm going to try and sync my carbs today, (we'll see how that goes lol) but yeah we should see if we can get a good time where we can all take a ride, next weekend possibly? i do have one rant however, now that i have been on those roads, my small twisties i am used too are downright boring!!
-
can i get some of those cards? maybe a sticker too?
-
omg i wish i had the money for that, always loved the cbr's. sweet bike, good luck on the sale.
-
i just got back from a 4 hour ride with nickninja and it was freakin awesome. if anyone doesn't think there are good twisties around here then ask him for a route. i am a newer rider and he helped me out a lot(pointing out gravel, things of that nature) and he didn't get frustrated waiting for my slow ass to make it to the next intersection. all in all it was an outstanding ride. i still have a grin on my face(and a little less chicken strip:D) Nick, anytime you want to ride again drop me a pm or give me a call.

i like the 500 a lot i had an old cb450 about 7 years ago that i rode a little bit the 500 is a whole different bike, it is easy to ride and easy to learn. i'm probably going to try and take a good long ride this weekend. i moved here from germany last year. i went into the army in 02 and they stationed me in germany for 4 years (two of which in iraq). i lived in miamisburg before i joined the army. ^^ read this backward, it will probably make more sense^^
-
not to jack this thread but where would the twisties from dayton to cinci be?
-

hey all, i've been riding about 3 months and i have a gs500. came across this forum on sbn and it looks like a pretty good place. if anyone wants to ride and doesn't mind riding with a novice on a 500 then let me know.
-
does anyone know of any regular bike nights or cruise ins around dayton? i know miamisburg has on pretty regularly but theirs are mostly cruisers, i am more interested in sportbikes. i am also having a hell of a time finding good twisties around my area, any help there? thanks in advance.
