  1. And you'd get an inferior bike. What a deal!! On a side note, it is amazing the deals on older exotics...
  2. I didn't know you raced karts. We need to talk. Wanting to get the boy involved in them and need to see what is out there...
  3. The difference is that the DOLLAR is performing poorly. Also, understand that in reality, 600s have always been on par with HD pricing. They are constantly updating technology and in fact, leading the way in motorcycle technology. Thus, the R&D departments need to be paid for. The fact that the Big 4 have new designs and new technology on average every two years, that costs money. HD isn't responsible for anything new in terms of technology and yet, people have been paying that amount for 1940s technology for years. Plus, they are an American company even though they use over 80% non-US components... Point is simple - the economy is in shambles outside the US let alone our issues here. Bike sales were in the toilet for the last few years and the OEMs need to justify the expenses of creating new bikes. Until the population buys more machines like it used to, the cost of buying these bikes is going to rise. It's simply a supply and demand issue at this point. The Japanese OEMs are struggling to stay above water. This is going to start a trend not only in price, but how often new models come around. The 600s and 1000s will always try and be on 2 year rotations as they are the basis of a lot of the technology that is found in the industry and amongst the brand's machines. Exotic machines like Ducati, Aprilia, KTM, etc are also going to have to raise prices to offset the dollar issues... It just appears to be closer than ever before, but if you really look, in years like 2006 when the new R6 came out, it was $9200 - up from the previous geny by $800 plus. That was about $5-$6k less than a Ducati 999. Roll to this year and the 1198 standard is $16,500. About $5k more than the GSXR 750 and honestly, not a better a bike. Now, if you compare 1198SP to the GSXR 750, you are looking at a difference. But, you are also looking at a steeper difference in price... In reality, it has always been about $5-$6k difference from 600s to base models from Ducati and others... You are just used to seeing $10 plus K from the exotics and not the Big 4.
  4. You can thank the dollar on the prices. Oh, and the fact that the world economy is in the shitter. Our recession two years ago is now at full tilt everywhere else... 1000s are probably going to be $13k plus... Get used to it, folks!
  5. Yes, nost recent update. Works flawlessly. No shipping included in that price. Why are you getting rid of the 4? I was selling to step up to that one... I'd like to know why you want to go back? I have some buddies that did the most recent update to their 4s and they are very happy now...
  6. More pics. Goes on Ebay tomorrow night. These are pulling well over $200 used... Complete setup: Uploaded with ImageShack.us Rim scratches. Again, typical and due to case protection... Uploaded with ImageShack.us Phone as it stands right now. Will be reset to factory settings... Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  7. Dude, you completely argued against your own point... You can surely hear the car coming, but it was VERY minimal and only loud when he passed by. Sound is directional and yes, obnoxious pipes may be heard as they approach, but aftermarket exhausts - the below posted vid with ALL those race bikes as an example - are not going to create a sound that is attention getting by people up ahead... It's like at an air show when an F16 comes by. You hear intake noise for sure, but it isn't "LOUD" until it cracks past you... Loud pipes saves lives is BS and an excuse to be a turd burgler. These HD and cruiser idiots with SUPER obnoxious pipes ought to be steam rolled by Mack trucks... Same with the tards on sport bikes with no packing in their cannisters... Idiots.
  8. I also found an iDeal case cover, also. Two piece design... Uploaded with ImageShack.us
  9. I am selling my 32GB 3GS iPhone. It is white and comes with original packaging, Skull Candy white case and Oakley Carbon look case. Also has two screen protectors left as the third is on the phone itself. SMALL, fine scratches on Apple logo on back from cases. No damage to the phone body whatsoever. I am looking for $200 for everything. Is not Jail Broke, but that can be done easily if you need to (T-Mobile folks)... I'll let you do it - you can get it free with a little snooping on the internet... Will be through Columbus in the next couple of weeks, Indy late next week and Cincy around that same time... I can take pics if it helps, but we all know these by now...
  10. Race compound or the Commercial set?
  11. It was a while ago. We were labeled by a few to be too aggressive on the tards so, we took our shit boxes up and won the 3 hour and I think top 3 or 5 in the regular classes. As far as the 85s, again - this is one reason why the issues arose. The little bikes MAY run as fast as the tards, but the thing is that I cannot pass you underneath w/o issue if I am sideways. Plus, the little bike guys are typically riddled with emotions and they get pissed that we do such things. Thus, the people being upset at us. Whatever the case, it doesn't matter and I am not going to keep at this discussion. If you guys come when we are there, no biggie - I would say we just split the groups and let you have a clear track as many of your guys aren't as fast. Thus, a safety issue.
  12. I'm just extremely disappointed in the lack of a model with your bike pictured at the bottom in your sig...
  13. Oh, it was plenty from your group... We were the "Big Bad Bike Guys" and went to Beaver to prove a point on our clapped out XR100s... No biggie. It's a done deal. I just prefer to ride big bikes together. Or at least stuff as small as maybe 85s and such. I don't care how fast you ride around that place, big bikes sideways are no mix with little bikes cornering like a road bike... I'll pass...
  14. So, you staying for the weekend? I need a pit bitch!
  15. Prefer just tards... Last time we mixed them up, we got all the little bike guys pissed. I'm not down for that anymore. Just big tards and little ones like what Yota has...
  16. Why doesn 200hp make that a deciding factor? If that's the case, why isn't there a BMW 1000 in your garage?
  17. Yup, loads of fun. Can't wait to do some more in the coming months. We need to make a thread to get more guys. We had a blast and I hope more to follow! This time, Adam, I won't have to set the bead on a tire and waste an hour!!!
  18. Come on down. Puss... You can ride mine. No excuse now!
  19. 10:30-11. Come on folks! Let's ride! High 73 and mostly sunny! YES!
  20. We are working the details as far as time and I think someone will have to call the track to set it up, but so far, a few of us are gonna be men and ride tards. All you all not coming? Pussies.
  21. Nick- I am looking like we are going for sure. However, we are looking at going up Saturday night and staying over. Let me know as we are also going to do only endurance on the stocker...
  22. Yeah, that Robert guy is a slow poke. He's lucky he can even balance a bike! Tell him I said that. Be prepared to duck, though! Is Robert there every day now?
  23. There ya go, folks. Can have it dyno'd in front of you to verify it runs and does what they say. Don't see anything wrong with that for a salvage bike. Kudos.
