  1. If you ever want to stop by when the door is up, by all means. Love talking bikes...
  2. Mt. Gilead SUCKS!!!:D Just kidding... I'm the guy that lives off N. Walnut with the racebikes... Come by and say "hey" if you are ever patrolling and see me there. I hear ya running around town on that WR and I smile everytime. Love the 4 strokes!!
  3. Good seeing some of you out there. Especially Zorro who deservingly got bumped to Adavnced. He was riding really well and in most cases better than a LOT of the riders in that group. Was really fun chasing Nick and Ken on the Buells. The 1125R is actually a pretty damn good bike and honestly, considering we were on stock bikes and stock EVERYTHING, they went rather well... Had fun and good to see so many OR riders out there.
  4. He's getting take offs from Agnes, but I am hoping he isn't running 190s. Not to say that some guys don't and shouldn't, but he is needing to run a 180 at this stage until he gets his corner speed to where he needs a 190 and most guys on the Michelins and riding 600s are still running the 180...
  5. You've been running a 190 all this time? Might be an issue for you. You need to be running 180s, Nick...
  6. AC130 Spectre Gunship. Deadly and awesome to see in action. Look up more images on Google and such. Not your typical National Guard AC130...
  7. All I care to know about is the fine looking babe in Hoblick's signature. Please explain... Oh, and bigger is better...
  8. Will bolt right on. Many F2 racers were running F3 bodywork when we were racing them when they first came out in 95...
  9. Will be mountain bike riding Saturday and probably catching a nap Sunday. Be the first year in almost 20 years that I am not going... Might go up to see if Russ needs any pit help, but outside that, nada...
  10. Just not a lot of good feedback about there since things have changed... Not really internet worthy and if you are satisfied, absolutely awesome. Just know a good number of people that have not had good results...
  11. Oh, I know. It's just that when it comes time that you want suspension (and you definately don't need to be an up front WERA guy to have good suspension), he tends to be very biased towards Ohlins. Outside that, he knows stuff and is a good guy for sure.
  12. I'll chime in on a few cars as I have had great experiences with them. BMWs are amazing and great cars. Take a little "tuning" to be even better, but out of the box, they are great. The 1 series is only good if you get it in the M Sport package as the power and performance is right there with the 3 series... But in a smaller package. Problem with the 1 series is that I think it is going to fade away. It gets looked at as the poor man's BMW and an entry level car. The 3 series is a great package if again, it is in either the Sport or M Sport Package and anything less is just a sedan. Good sedan, but a sedan. The 370/350Z is a great car and again, a car that is only really enjoyed if it is loaded and has the right package. Good in standard form, but drive the sport related one and you'll know why it is better... The problem here is that the OP is looking at a Mustang. They cannot be compared really against most the cars being listed here. BMW? It isn't a sedan. Maybe against the Coupe, but in reality, it isn't going to make it if put up against the 335i Coupe in the M Sport or Sport laced set-up. If compared to the 350/370, you loose a rear seat. Again, a true sports coupe and really, isn't fair to the Mustang. Handling and characteristics make these two cars too hard to compare fairly. The Camaro is really the best comparison as the Vette is so out of range and so much a different car. The Camaro is a great comparison, but again, you are going to pay almost $50k for the good one. $50k can get you a far better car, but the "WOW" factor may not be there. The Camaro right now in the full monty set-up is a head turner. The V6 is such a different car and makes me think my grandma should be behind the wheel. Overall, you are really comparing apples to oranges. And for anyone who has a Lotus listed next to a Camaro as a choice? Really? Either they are just spending money for the sake of it or they are buying a car purely based on looks and money isn't an option. The Exige (2008) is a COMPLETELY different car than either the C06 or Camaro... How you can mix them together is beyond me, but I guess different strokes for different folks... The C06 and Camaro SS I can see as they are both similar in terms of overall. The Lotus? Hmmm... Maybe if you were looking at a Z06 or ZR1 maybe... But the Camaro and C06 are in that sub $50k range and the Lotus is over $65k...with the basics and no track pack, etc...
  13. You obviously haven't driven with a guy that is an ex-race car driver that can show you what a car can do when pushed in terms of handling... I can guarantee he'd embarass a GOOD number of bike guys... Plus, understand that cars do better in turns anyways. They have four contact patches allowed and we do not. We get them on certain aspects of a turn, but they can really out do us for the most part if the playing field is equal. Example? F1 vs. MotoGP... But, for the money, you are right. A $40k car is going to get it's ass handed to it by a $11k motorcycle... Just saying that cars can be damn good fun on the twisties in the hands of a really good driver. Trouble is that there are very few good drivers...
  14. Tell Bryan M and Jim S. that Healea says hello. Miss those guys and need to come up to say hi one of these days...
  15. YIKES!! I am going to suggest Reuben, of course... He's a great friend and obviously we've been around each other a good amount of time and I know what he does and what he is capable of doing. The thing about Jason at DOP is that he is VERY opinionated. He LOOOOOOVES Ohlins and feels anything else is inferior. He knows his stuff for sure, but there are a TON of other options out there and a ton of things that can be used on a bike that SUITS a budget and SUITS a riding style. If you are not a top 5 WERA National guy or an AMA racer, 25 mil kits are not needed. If you are on a budget and want great suspension and want options, Ohlins is going to be on the top in terms of price. If you want ease of maintenance, Ohlins isn't your best option. Also, a LOT of the top WERA National guys run Penske rears due to a lot of reasons, but they work damn good and have some features that make the shock work rather well and have enough winners to prove they work just fine. For forks, there are a bunch of great options. GP Susupension, Ohlins, Penske, Traxxion, etc. The deal is that the basics like sag and ride height and understanding what the tires are doing as a result of your suspension set up is something YOU can do and not have to pay someone else to do. Set-up is something you SHOULD learn anyways and the only time you really should have to pay for anything is when you need the suspension refreshed or replaced... So, go where you feel is best. A lot of good examples are listed and I'm not going to get into a pissing war with who you should go to. There are a lot of people who will say so and so is best. I prefer Reuben, but DoP, Indy Ducati, Italia, etc are all good peeps. It really boils down to who is doing what at the track if dealing with race related suspension. Reuben is at the track probably 2-3 weeks a month and does a lot of hands on with the companies face to face like with Ohlins and Traxxion and GP Suspension. He doesn't order from a catalog, but actually works with all the latest updated components for each company. Too often, you go and have something done and find out later there was an update that SHOULD have been used. You pay big bucks, why wouldn't you want the latest updates? Good luck. Bottom line is that stock stuff sucks. People ask me why their tires are doing what they are and I ask what they have had done with their suspension. They say "stock" and there's the answer...
  16. There was some old guy doing a few 1:33s... But, James was rolling good as usual.
  17. Good to see ya at Infiniti of Columbus. Picking up your car I assume or did you go Metro Sexual on us and get one of those grocery getters? Mine was the sick one on the trailer out front... Oil Consumption Service Bulletin. Making some noise and such...
  18. To the pussy who left negative rep because I said no top 5, understand what attrition is all about. Also understand that I as many made a mistake thinking he would struggle as he has been doing... Nicky's a cool kid and a great racer. I just think that he's struggling and will hopefully find the needed mojo to get on top again. World Champion in GP? Not likely. WSBK? I think he would be killer in WSBK... But, overall, he's racing against guys like Rossi and others who are just at a level that is beyond most. It's rare to see a guy so dominate as Rossi, but it is the same in other sports, too. Look at RC in MX... There are a lot of examples and it doesn't mean guys like Nicky suck, it just means that they are having a tough time when they are exceptional, but the people like Rossi they race against are phenoms...
  19. It is a SHIFT Vertex suit. I use it for STT and racing. Reuben uses it for racing, as well. Along with guys like Micael Beck and Josh Herrin...
  20. Nope. Love Nicky, but no top three or even 5 for Laguna. Stoner, Rossi and Lorenzo will steal the show. Guys like Edwards and even Toseland will do better... Nicky is just struggling with the Duc. Doing better, but getting a top 5 this quick after such terrible results? Not likely...
  21. Kevin??? You mean Jason from Dept of Suspension? Not 100% sure on that... What do you need done? You can have Reuben from 35 Motorsports do it before then and he isn't busy in July. He's actually the least busy in July...
  22. My little guy? Nah... He rides his 65 like a grandma. RC he isn't. Great kid and I love him, but not bacnking on racing becoming a career... Of course, race him on Tourist Trophy or XBox stuff and you'd get your ass handed to you, I believe... Damn kids... Oh, and real men DO wear white suits. Didn't say they were all good looking though!!
  23. Well, duh... Mirrors lie. As for the riding, you looked good. As a man, well... No comment.
  24. How much does he charge for car wheels?
