  1. Nick is a great guy and as knowledged a rider as I have ever met. Really helped me when I started racing and I will always remember how good at talking to me he was. He never looks down on people and even though he has more experience than I think most riders and racers do, he always acts like he is just starting in terms of his excitement level. Great guy and great read.
  2. Don't be teasing, now... Grattan is a LOT further and not near as good a track surface. Offers the same challenges and is very similar to Mid-O, but not near the caliber. I think I hear excuses and a bit of scared in your tone...
  3. 1) SV is a different animal than the Duke is. 2) There's little to no prep needed. Honestly, it would take about 30 minutes at most to get your bike ready. 3) We have TONS of people that can help at the track. I am sure you could find someone to help you load. 4) Again, you are probably going to be getting less track time as the classes will be close to 60 in total. There will be people bringing their own bikes for sure, but a lot of people will have to wait until a bike is free... 5) Flogging is not going to be tolerated. We will be watching rather closely to make sure the bikes are not abused. If we catch people beating the shit out of the bikes, they will be asked to leave - right after we get an itemized list of repairs or wear casued from such abuse. This is a ride and try type of deal - not beat the shit out of a rebtal car type of thing... KTM will be there and they will rely on us to police the riders. I have one of the Dukes that will be ridden and I will not allow someone to beat the hell out of a bike I will be riding at times at speed during certain class sessions.
  4. Reed is like MC outside. Villipoto will beat him if he does outdoors. I think RV is going to win it outside...
  5. Why not just come to a regular event? The KTM event is the same price and I can guarantee, they won't have 60 bikes so everyone can ride 100% of the time... Plus, the Duke 990 is a fun machine, but it gets pretty old after a few sessions... Sign up for a regular event with your bike...
  6. I will sign up for Putnam after you confirm sign up at Mid-Ohio... Ball in your court. ;)
  7. Yes. I will be at that event.
  8. I love Collin. That guy is the best. Such a great SB racer, too. Wish he actually would go back and ride before he hangs it up...
  9. If ya don't, come anyways! We have a great time in the pits so, it is something that you can enjoy even w/o a bike!
  10. I know... It's tough being me!! Probably just a tire issue honestly... The 1000 tends to like eating rears.
  11. Nope, but two buddies - Reuben Frankenfield (link that I posted) and Scotty (#27) were there. Supposed to try and hit the Cycle Options day later in the year with Reuben so we can have some fun as we don't get to ride with each other much anymore...
  12. May or may not be at this one. Might have to be at BlueGrass on the 30/31 of May so... That's the next day and may be tough to do it back to back...
  13. How about a trade? I have a 6x12 with cabinets and stuff inside. Outside is a little worse for wear, but really just needs fenders as the stock ones have some rust... Overall, a great trailer, I just need to get a minimum of 3 bikes in one and mine won't do it... Just testing waters here. Unless I actually push to sell mine and then look to yours... Oh, I was thinking obviously mine plus cash...
  14. Who's this guy? Looks slow... http://www.dotphoto.com/GuestViewImage.asp?AID=5829603&IID=216454344&INUM=40&ICT=134&IPP=16 :D:D:D
  15. Next time, he gets all three comments and slap on the ass as he heads out with a "GET 'EM TIGER!!" That ought to make him get the job done. Or, I will tell him he goes down to "I" group cause he sucks... I know some people and can have it done. Or, maybe we'll welcome him at Rider's Meeting...
  16. You forgot "You just gotta go fucking faster"....
  17. Only you can tell what dates work for you. I know you feel Mid-Ohio is too expensive, but consider this. Mid-Ohio offers a LOT of technical challenges that just are not offered at other tracks. What that then translates to is that you can take these things with you to other venues and use them to get better. I know you like Grattan and Mid-Ohio is VERY similar to Grattan, but with better pavement and a few more offerings to make you better. Tougher, sure, but better... Maybe check the BG dates. I hope this next WOW event happens. I'll be running that event on the 13th so, I probably won't bring the race bike, but if you go, I can watch and take notes. I just hope BG is ready soon...
  18. Kind of where I figured you'd be in terms of times. That's really good. I hope we cross paths sometime at Mid-Ohio or BG. I think women are easier to teach than men. Too often, the guys tend to think they know it all and are faster in their own minds. It also is pretty cool to see a girl hand a guy his ass out there. Makes them sorta quiet down pretty quick... Plus, i think you want to get better and that's a great thing...
  19. I try keeping people guessing... But, in reality, she looks good on the bike. Could get off a bit more, but really, trying to evaluate from pics is tough. I see pics of guys that look like they can rip and when in action, they are dirt slow. It's just the way it is. I'd have to watch her going in a corner, setting up and going through and watching the exit. There's a lot of things to see and put together to really see what is going on. From the pics, she looks good. What were your times, Jess? Not that times matter as many people have fish stories in terms of times, but it sometimes allows us to see where you fit in. I suspect you were in the 20s...
  20. I think it is so cool when girls do this sport. So... where's the helmet off pics??
  21. Again, I am not saying he would have. However, that kind of slam would set him back just enough. We're talking 10ths of a second here in lap times pretty much... I think Reed can pressure James into mistakes. Nobody will ever know, but I can say that Reed is going to go balls out trying to beat James, but I would play it so that I would be behind him and pressure him into falling down. It's the only way Reed will win as James has a 6 point lead and that's a shit pile to make ground up on...
  22. This year, DeCoster has taken him aside and surely RC has had some input, too. They have coached him rather well as he hasn't complained hardly at all this year. It's actually really great to see as he used to bitch about everything...
  23. There's absolutley no love lost between Reed and Stewart. Reed was somewhat aggressive with Stewart in practice and Stewart block passed him a couple of times. It's MX. It is something they do a lot. The only guys I remember that didn't do that was RC and MC and then RC with Stewart. All raced each other hard, but clean... Don't make it a deal all on Stewart's shoulders. It's obvious you don't like the kid and that's cool, but to say he isn't one of the best is being pretty damn blind to reality.
  24. It was intentional. The way he came in on Reed was not a "mistake" or getting in too hot... It was deliberate and I am really surprised Reed didn't go down. I think he got what he deserved in terms of suspension and such. Do I think Reed would have caught and passed Stewart? Ehhhhhh.... The jury is still out on that.
