The thing is, Craig - they are going to have to allow the 250 class to bring in the 300 and possible some single cylinder machines. Reason being if they kill the new Ninja from competing, they kill any hopes of contingency (which wasn't there anyways) and also any chance that the class grows as if you only allow older bikes and the newest, freshest CBR 250 that comes out (If they make changes, but keep the engine size), you then effectively create a CBR Cup and that's it. I think they need to adopt rules to cover the new 300. Make it a 300 Production rule package with no mods or something. Allow bigger changes in the 250 class or allow it in a ESB class where CC limits are raised and if ESS still exists, it would not be allowed. At least allows the new Ninja to be raced... I think it is progress and needs to be accepted. Otherwise these small cc bikes are going to not be raced. But, also understand that Kawi could care less about racing it as the 250 was the #1 selling unit in Kawasaki's lineup. They sell more to street riders than racers so, it was less as to how it will cause issue with racing and what the general public wanted in a bike... 300 seems to be a better idea in my opinion and with our new 390 Duke coming soon, the 250 mentality is going to get a boost to maybe higher cc's...

Well, since you are obviously shooting that towards me and with the less than $800 comment you made, here's the drill... $3k is much more reasonable and EXACTLY where I suggested you start at. So, you can jab, talk out the side of your mouth or whatever you want. You are starting where I suggested and will most likely get more attention because of it. I know a few on here like to think I am a dick and act like I am an expert, but the bottom line is I see this shit everyday and not doing something on the side in this industry. I live it, breath it and work within it. Say whatever it is that you need to say, but $3k is much more reasonable and will most likely work for you. And, shows the $1500 of bolt ons are worth nothing more than stock. In fact, you bolt everything else stock back on and keep the seat cowl and it will probably sell quicker... Especially a new rider who has a parent or someone similar helping them when you start that thing up... The stock exhaust and components shows you didn't mod anything and leaves a customer feeling more secure in purchasing something non modified... Anyways, carry on. New price makes sense... Who's the expert now, Hobs? (That was for Mad as he wants drama...)

It is an AFX helmet and I would say that by looking at it, not near as polished at the gaskets as seen on many other helmets. It isn't a slam, but the build quality is such with the AFX that you are going to get less polished production on their helmets than with say, a Shoei, Arai, etc... All they are really are gaskets that finish the base of the shell and to maintain the EPS interior and such. Some companies do build the gasket to be functional and does help with wind noise, airflow, etc. I do not see that being the case with the AFX, but just a gasket.

Uh, have you followed this guy's threads at all? Maybe you're just butt hurt from some other issues? Wow... OK, GREAT stuff you got on there. Well worth slightly below retail price for a new, shiny and well maintained one. Carry on. Oh, and Hob - it's a public forum. Guess you missed that part. Just trying to educate or put some thoughts out there for possible consumers. If you have issue, I suggest that you just read or maybe add something constructive to the thread. But, bashing me and targeting me seems to be easiest.

Under $3k is about what it will take. Again, you're new at this, but what you added is no benefit nor anything to increase value. It would be like adding for every tank of fuel you put into it. Or, new tires and thinking you are going to get that much more out of it. The exhaust is a shitty exhaust and the plastics are beat to shit and back. I'd say $2500-$2800 max.
-
I did, man. Much appreciated. I have been so slammed that I have honestly forgot... I will get with you on a few of them.
-
Even though I think the OP is a total douche bag and will most likely kill himself on anything larger, the price is a bit high, but it would be a bit of a stretch to get only $1656 for it. I'd say it is worth $2500-$3k all day long no matter what the condition as long as decent and not all scratched to shit and back. But, as a newer rider, he seems to think all that bling bolt on shit is worth something. It isn't. Some of it actually has lessened the value. GLWS, but $3200 is only $799 off retail. I think you will be $3k or lower to get it sold...

If we can get a free 4 for my wife, I am considering the swap to Verizon. If not, I'd stick with AT&T. The issue is that the AT&T iPhone will not transfer over... Unless they take trade ins!!!
-
Is there a deal to discuss to get a free 4? If so, I can sell this one on Ebay and recoup...

I guess we have the Family 1400 deal and I have unlimited iPhone data. We have unlimited text also. If we do the shared data plan and get 4GB for two of us (I use about 2 GB myself from what they stated), we can do both iPhones, unlimited talk and text and keep the additional lines, etc for about $9 more a month. I think that's pretty good, but wanted to see if that is really what we should do as I do not want to blow through data. Our Verizon data plan is 20GB and our internet use and video stuff tends to get blown up all the damn time. If I only have 4GB for two phones, not sure if that is enough even though I am showing I do not exceed that...
-
So, we will be doing the iPhone 5 for myself and my wife will be getting my old iPhone 4. I currently am grandfathered in with my iPhone with unlimited data and unlimited text. I also have a family plan that allows unlimited texting for everyone... What I want to do is get the iPhone 5, add my wife on a data plan (I am the only one with data) and do the shared data idea. We do not have a MiFi ir similar device with AT&T... My wife is also a government employee and gets a discount. Just wanted to see if my options were any good or if I should just add data, etc... It's fairly confusing the way they sell these things anymore. But, unlimited data has been nice, but I am not really using a ton being it is only my phone.

Man, what a great story, great idea and above all, shows what a bunch of caring folks can pull off. I've never met Chris officially, but he needs to be applauded for his efforts. A lot of faces I recognize. Really cool deal, guys. And, BAD ASS CAFE RACER!!! That thing is sick!
-
Awesome vids, man. That muscle head guy on the ZX10 really ought to be kicked in the skull for that pit move he made. All the way outside and waved as you were hot into 14 and then he crosses the race line and pits. Had he done that to me, I would have chewed his ass out raw. Fucking stupid dangerous. But, all and all, really cool stuff. Good to see your times are coming down and the lines are really good. I think if you do that upshift in between the carousel and front straight, you will drop a couple of tenths. I like the keyhole line, but as shown by the instructor passing under you, it is a bit too wide too early. Maybe stay in tight more and then drift out to drive sooner. We can go over it if ya wanna on the 1st. You're really coming along. How'd the suspension feel later in the day as you got faster?
-
The issue is that Pro Pedal when bad causes issue with the shock all together. Meaning, I lose compression and rebound tuning. Like a shock with blown seals - all spring. Bobs a ton... I think the modern full suspended bikes are bad ass and have little to no bob when climbing...

Welp, did the full loop at Mohican yesterday. We had a blast! The cover bridge and beyond are probably where I started to fade pretty bad. Those two miles or so after are killers. But, the downhills along the way make it worth it. I struggled at the climbs from about mile 20 and up. Just wore the muscles to the point of failure and really had a rough time. Buddy has only ridden 4 times and has a hardtail. But, has ran something like 8 full marathons this year so far. YIKES!!! But, he crushed us. I would catch him on downhills, but he'd crush me on climbs after the bridge... We all had an amazing time. One thing I will say... Make sure you don't blow out your Pro Pedal. I don't use it much, but when it blows, it's like riding a pogo stick...

Yup, pretty much an issue on both P1 and P2... Pretty much just need to make sure everything is out of site as much as possible. Less issue on P2 due to Sheriff going through more often...

If talking the bus stop at Grattan, your spot was the best choice. However, you can do it from mid track also. Maybe the CR was just choosing that line due to their speed, etc or maybe because they themselves do not use the outside third. That turn is an exception to where depending on the bike, rider style and speed, you can use both. I've split guys up the middle there, passed in tight (not at all suggested) and outside. I prefer the middle to left side like you chose... If slower, the line is easier to maintain and even change mid turn. Faster means you need to really be as dead nuts as you can for accuracy and speed.

"Check Please!" LOVE IT!!! I'm stealing that shit right there.

Well, hell. Might as well ditch that nice modern car and go back to horse and buggy. Shit, they got along just fine with those... Again, these ARE needed tools for people and they are neccessary for getting things done and such. Just because you revel in the old days, doesn't mean that they have a purpose. After all, I can promise you that your grandpa or dad probably thought there was no need for some of the things you "had to have". This kind of mentality is pretty old school and very anti-progress. Trust me, there are things we used to do that would be great to go back to. But, I am not willing to use oil to burn in a lantern to provide light at night at my home. Nor am I willing to ride the train to Philly for work and make a trip out of it.

So, you've been bashing the "sheep" that buy iPhones and yet nobody here has said boo about how inferior something you own is. So, I will start... Kidding. Point is that when you chime in like you have, you are bashing. Just because someone comes on and says they are buying the new iPhone and people wait in line fo rthe damn thing while nobody does for an Andriod based phone, why is that such a bad thing? I mean, the obvious marketing campaign Apple does is amazing and works just as well as any other noted brand out there. Nike, Oakley, Chevy, etc. It's all about branding and relationships towards target demographics. But, one thing to note as to there are MANY people that own Andriod based units out there. Apple products are not depreciating in such a rapid rate as the Android products do. Andriod products are cheaply made and are at a lower price point out of the gate. Within even a few months, they drop drastically to try and grab share of the market. Just saying... You are bashing from what you stated. We may be defending as Apple owners and supporters, but not sure where we are bashing your stuff...
-
I find it funny that apparently, you're a sheep if you buy something popular that works. Typically, it comes from people that haven't used the product outside a few times they tried a friends phone or at the Best Buy. Funny stuff. I then like how some think you buy something like this, you apparently have to put off buying things for something that is nothing more than a hobby. Sure, you may not NEED a phone (I do for work), but you sure as hell don't need a motorcycle, either. So, somewhat hypocritical to sit and judge that people need tires and gear for a hobby to buy something they don't need. You all are really fun to read. So many judge and so many are either feeling inferior or are pissed they can't get one.

Term has the right idea. We cannot assist on a certain turn unless you tell us the turn and the environment. Before you go thinking it is setup and chassis, understand that lines are as important as getting a correct setup. Lines are chosen to not only go faster, but to be more efficient. Meaning, if you have to work harder to make it through a lap because of poor line choice, it isn't the right way to do it. Also, if you were target fixing on the instructor, you aren't looking ahead enough. You need to watch the instructor in periphrial vs. looking directly. Essentially, I believe you are having issue with confidence. Don't go getting the chassis measured, don't go fiddling with clickers and suspension. Work on YOU. What turns for example are you talking about? That may assist us to help you on lines...

If you only use it as a phone, yes... Very high priced and pretty much a waste of money. However, if you think an iPad costs more and does less than a laptop, you are also very antiquated in your thoughts towards them, as well. The iPad can do as much and a ton MORE than a laptop. The phones today are used as mobile computers, GPS, texting, etc. They are a lifeline for someone like me that needs it for use on the road and to access emails, read updated files, communicate with my dealers in phone, text or email aspects and to even have some fun and maintain social status. Ain't gonna get that with a small flip phone. Fanboys or not, Apple products suit me and our family lifestyle. I use it all for work and play and need a phone and pad that can keep up.

So, had he had a middleweight 600 and been a dumbass, he'd been fine? Seriously? I love all the talk that the liter bike is half the problem. Liter bikes do things faster and sure, can get you in trouble quicker. But, 600s are just as dangerous. I suppose you are a master of that ZX10, right? I'd like to think I might have at least an average amount of ability. I've crashed enough bikes to know that no matter what your ability level is, you can still wad shit up into a pop can easy enough. Big bike or small. I think the amount of ability allows a person a reserve enough to hopefully have room to work when shit hits the fan. But, no matter what the reserve, there are times the most experienced riders have nothing left and eat it. Happens to us all. And, if there is anyone that can sit here and tell me that they can master their liter bike or even 600, I am willing to bet I can test that and show it isn't the case.

First of all, the 250 reference isn't far off. ANY rider with NEWBIE status can make a fuck up that can end in a pine box. Sure, you can add science and forumlas all day until your pocket protector wears out. But the harsh reality is that today's sportbikes can get anyone in trouble if not well educated and experienced. Period. Want proof? Come to the track. I've seen guys on small CC bikes ball shit up as quickly as big bores. Sure, speed is a factor, closing at a higher rate in a shorter distance, etc. So, to make it clear, you can get into the same situation on any bike. He may not have flown through the air as far or exploded his bike as much, but the same scenario could have easily played the same with a Ninja 250, an R6 or a ZX10...
