    Nice

SWEET! But, I would say it is staged and she actually isn't really riding, but rather posing for pics... Nice legs, though!!
  2. Yup, gotta go Direct TV. Time Warner stated they do not go out that far for where we live. I heard horrible stories on the internet stuff and satellite... Looks like Verizon next week!
  3. Oh, McMastercarr is the site I use for Tygon...
  4. DO NOT use fuel line. Use Tygon as it doesn't break down with chemicals nor the brake dust. If you clean your bike like you should, brake clean is used and it will cause fuel line to get brittle and discolor. Fuel line is also not available as small a diameter as Tygon can be bought as...
  5. Never a complaint and the best deal is when we have three or more people using, it doesn't seem slower. It states 54 mps which I doubt, but overall, it is the shit. I can download anything and never have an issue with ANY video or game play.
  6. Hey Chester, your family is up in Crestline... We are now in Galion. Know who the best choices are for up here? I am thinking the Verizon is the way to go. buddy has it and runs the business from it so, I think as long as I don't play games and watch huge videos, I should be good? I was going to do the $80/month option...
  7. So, we are out in the country and cannot access Road Runner and Time Warner anymore. Thus, I need internet. I have heard to stay away from Direct TV's stuff as it is limited and will max out quickly. I also have heard decent things about the Verizon WiFi mobile. I wanted to ask the panel as to what their thoughts were. Need to do a lot of internet and emailing and want speed. I have the Turbo Road Runner and am supposedly getting 54 mbs...
  8. Trust me, I won't be lapping a lot of anyone. Never been there, remember? I got 2 sessions in yesterday and that was it...
  9. I am probably 95% there for Sunday's races. Need to figure shit out for sure, but looking good to go! I think I lost the tranny in my RC8R RS so, just the GSXR...
  10. Thank you very much. The guys at Mid-O and the instructors are great folks. I appreciate the compliments and will pass along.
  11. Nick's spot on. Guy panicked, stomped the rear brake and was also applying the fronts and as soon as he hit grass, he ate a shit burger. You should have seen the brake dust on our street demo RC8... Dark grey from all the dust...
  12. I think so... I'm up there a lot so, I am not sure what event that was...
  13. In that case, he needs to keep getting seat time. It isn't an insult as we all start somewhere, but at that pace, it is really more a deal where until he learns and progresses a bit, it isn't the right time. If he can get into the 40s, that a time to start considering at Mid-Ohio at least...
  14. I can show you a novice time at Mid-Ohio that is faster than the top 5 experts that were running the same class. I can also show you an expert time that should be back of the pack novice times. I have seen track day guys that I KNOW would be great at racing, but will not take the plunge. I also see many a track day rider jump too early. Everything out there has a variable. Everyone out there has a limit and a place they start. If you are running :30s (I assume high 30s) and low 40s after two track days at Mid-Ohio and two total ever track days, you are faster than most and I would say you would be ready. If this is a time from a stop watch from a buddy, you might want to get a lap timer and make sure. Reality is that times mean shit. I see guys running :36s at Mid-Ohio and they are WAAAAY beyond the limit. There is a reserve and if you use it all, there's nothing left when shit hits the fan and that means serious trouble... Point is that if you feel you are ready, do it! Moto Series is a great place for numerous reasons. One, it is getting packed up there. You have a HUGE range of abilities that you can fit into. They are getting some seriously fast guys up there as of late and the rest of the field is starting to gain in ability and speed also. That idea of how fast you become is based on the company you keep. Yopu can be king of track days, but do shitty at the races. Why? The company you are out there with. The more people and the better the quality of racers you compete against, the better you become. Anyways, my vote is to try it. If those times are legit, they are solid and worth trying to do a race series. Moto Series is cool because it is a fraternity feel and a place where we all seem to have fun. That allows it to be less business and more exciting and fun. It also is a place where you can learn a ton as the racers that are there and that are good, are all willing to help out with any questions, etc...
  15. Dude, you keep digging a grave... Higher resale? If you are an enthusiast, that should NEVER be a reason to buy a bike. If amongst like machines that you LIKE, maybe a category, but not something that should matter. Unless you are a doctor and wanna be cool like your friends. We don't call those folks enthusiasts. We call them posers... Better warranty? Really? You need to be VERY careful here... I know a few things about HD and metric as well as other brands and their warranties that are available... HD's are not better... Equal is a great word, but not better. Better than some, but not most to where it is a measuring stick... Quality? Ok... How do I say this w/o coming off as an HD hater. Quality is where you need to look past the painted pinstripes and look deeper. HD has some seriously old technology. It gets made fun of and is the basis of a lot of jokes, but if you think that is quality, that list of bikes you tallied off is seriously being questioned here. I can take a cruiser from a metric brand and place it side by side and you can CLEARLY see a difference in quality. Now, is it night and day? No. It is the simple and small things. Quality is how things are made, how they are exposed, how they are hidden, how the welds look, how the parts are used, how they are not used, etc. The list is crazy long and HD while good bikes and built OK, are far from being at the top of the list when talking quality. Again, similar or maybe better than some, but not most and that's where if you say they are better quality, you need to understand the way to measure quality. Again, stop while you are ahead.
  16. Dude, helmets dont snap necks... The impact that causes the head to be bent is what snaps necks. The EMS person is a douche bag IF - IF they actually stated that. I doubt that was the case and you view of what was stated is what you are saying here. If his helmet slammed into the car, his unprotected head would have hit the car as well. Unless you are talking that the slim amount of larger diameter the helmet was vs his head is the reason he clipped or "slammed" as you say. That then would suggest that he would have missed the car by about an inch and would have tumbled to safety w/o the helmet. Last I checked, the EMS guys and gals while great folks and have tough jobs, are not CSI certified... His head hit the car and if w/o a helmet, you think he would have not hit the car is silly. If you stand straight up and fall back without any movement to protect yourself from falling, your head is traveling at about 60 mph before impact. The back of your head is gonna be more than needing a few Advils if that would happen. You can die with a helmet on for sure. And, there are times where I have seen evidence that had the helmet not been worn, they MIGHT have lived. MIGHT. The bottom line is that the one piece of equipment worn vs not worn is a tough thing to prove was the cause. The crash itself has so many variables and complex parts to it that being able to pinpoint one item being the cause is crazy. The cases you provided are not reasonable and while tragic, had they not hit anything, they would have survived. That is as silly a comment as you saying the helmets killed them...
  17. Hey dingle, the helmets didn't kill your friends. If helmets killed that many people you know, it is either a HUGE exception or a large coincidence. Helmets protect. When people get killed while wearing full gear, it is due in large part to the accident being so severe that no matter what they were wearing, they would have passed. To blame it on gear is about as ignorant a thing I have ever heard. I have watched a great friend die in front of us after a race crash that ripped his Arai clean off his head. Removed his lower party of his face essentially. His death was not due to that helmet. That crash was due to the blunt trauma he was dealt when he was run over, after impact and the extreme nature of his injuries. The helmet did cause severe trauma, but as I mentioned, it wasn't solely the helmet and it would have happened even if it didn't get ripped off... In regards to your "wave at me or you are a dick" comment, you really should be quite aware as from your laundry list of owned bikes, a LOT - not all - but a LOT of HD riders will not wave back to sportbike people. A lot. Now, at times, I just don't waste my time as I am at the point that I assume they are going to ignore and not wave so, I don't. Then I feel terrible when they do. The point is that you really need to stop while you are ahead. You might actually be an OK guy, but at this stage, I am thinking that you are an ignorant guy that has no idea as to why gear is so important and are being very hypocritical. Remember what the HD crowd is like when it comes to being on the other side. You're not helping...
  18. Hey Brigham, why not come on up to Mid-Ohio and I can get my buddy's Duc and you can even bring whatever bike suits your damaged body. You can show me how fast you are and just how shitty apparently anyone on a sportbike must be. I'll try to give you a head start even... You're a reason why the two types of riders have such a tough time in getting along...
  19. Wrong. Trailer tires are not radial tires typically. No need to balance...
  20. Here's some more info: All customers should be directed to the BeaveRun web site http://www.beaverun.com/ or call their main office at 724.535.1000 for registration. No STT membership needed. All BeaveRun rules and gate times apply, same for camping and electrical. The info is on their web site. The cost is $125 each group.
  21. Get this - they don't have installers so, they'd send me the stuff to install and it should only take an hour! HUH??? I don't think they are very good to have a system that installs in an hour! If it is that easy, I'll just use a car alarm system and install it in the house! There's a local company here that seems to be well thought of and are cheap.
  22. So, nobody with positives or negatives about Alarm Force? The prices are really good and vs the local security company (Central Ohio Security), they offer a bit more and seem to have 2 way for free...
  23. I believe so. I will ask, but essentially, if you are there to race the weekend, it is your open practice and should fall into the Race Group.
