  1. The only thing I can think of and maybe you thought of this: In Ohio, if the title was never actually switched into the crackhead's name at the BMV then the dealership is still the owner according to the title. IDK how it's done in WV, but in Ohio you can get another title printed out if you lose your original. Maybe you could get the dealership to do this for you and sign it over to you this time? It's a long shot and probably slightly illegal.
  2. You can sell it without a title as a track only bike. That's a clusterfuck situation though. It doesn't sound like there is any way to fix it without getting a hold of the crackhead. Have you talked to the dealership yet?
  3. ^^Notarizing is an excellent idea
  4. Gotcha, well if he is really anxious to sell so he can get rid of his payments that is more reason to not screw you over. With a bill of sale, the bike and his address I think you should be fine. Also, you could make a copy of his driver's license and mail it back to him when you receive the title? Just another idea, too.
  5. Ok, makes sense. I would just meet with him and see how it goes. If you need to think about it tell him and take a few days. Honestly though, if the guy is concerned about how to handle the transaction properly...I don't think he is looking to screw you over.
  6. Have you met with him in person yet? He probably isn't going to screw you over if he seems decent and you know where he lives. lol
  7. Call the cops? My first street bike and first car both had liens on them. The guy even owed more on the car than what I was paying for it. I wrote up a bill of sale for both and took the vehicles with me. I wouldn't have done it this way though if I didn't feel comfortable with the seller.
  8. IDK, I guess I don't worry as much about these things. If it were me I would just write up a bill of sale and take the bike with me. Bill of sale will get you 30-day tags so you can ride while waiting for the title to arrive.
  9. IMO, sandpaper is the best and safest way to break them in. Just put your bike up on rear stands, start it up, put it in gear, and hold the sandpaper to the tire (I prefer 60-80grit). The faster way is to get a buddy to hold the throttle open (maybe like 45-50mph) and use an electric grinder with sandpaper disc. This is also a good way to lube your chain and remove fingers. + another
  10. Sleeping bag, tooth brush, tooth paste, and street clothes...shouldn't have a problem carrying all that stuff.
  11. Congrats! Enjoy the party:metal:

    Hello

 And you even posted pictures of it on the track!
  13. Plus, it's BW3's....not a crazy bar or anything. I'm in for this...hopefully they still have that pool table in the back. lol
  14. No doubt! Perfect opportunity.. take advantage of the cheap dyno time and lots of knowledgeable people around!
  15. Awesome! Love the bike man! Have you gotten it registered yet?
  16. Damn, you guessed it. Sunkist is sponsoring me and I'm painting my bike into a giant orange.
  17. There is difference between rubbing and retarded...Dale Jr. is the latter.
  18. Yeah, and then he tried to blame it on Vickers for 'running him off the race track.' WTH was dale trying to do passing that low when he wasn't even on the lead lap...he couldn't even get back in line without wrecking 10 cars. Oh well, supercross was more exciting to watch today.
  19. I'm working on a new paint scheme for the next bike(s) and it involves some orange.
  20. Sorry to hear about your back. Have you tried riding yet, though? Sport bikes can actually be easier on the back than cruisers in many cases. Yours being more of standard/upright position might be a toss up though. I have lower back problems and no way could I ride a cruiser comfortably. Anyways, good luck with sale!
  21. Nope, other factors are in play such as ignition timing. For example: my old jeep was ~11.0/11.5:1 and absolutely had to have 93.
