  1. im pretty sure stomp grip has black applications.

    but i think if you put the stomp grip on properly you will still have a little showing near the lower front of the tank.

    Yeah I think if you order the cut specifically for the GSXR. I was thinking he could get the universal stuff and cut his own pattern. :dunno: I've yet to use the stuff...just going on what I've seen other people do.

  2. While I agree V-day is mostly a b.s. made up holiday... it never hurts to give the misses a little extra attention. I'm pretty sure there aren't too many females out there who don't like getting flowers, going out to dinner or having a meal made for them. :wink: Not saying you shouldn't do these things often regardless, but you guys don't want your ladies to feel left out when all their gal pals are doing the V-day thing. So, they might not say it...but secretly they want some extra attention today.

    Oh, and for all the ladies on here...guys like V-day, too. We just don't care about flowers or dinner so much. :grin:

  3. Made me think... hmmm, deadly weapon....time for some math...

    3400 pound vehicle traveling at 80 mph

    equals 1545.5 kilograms at 35.76 meters per second

    kinetic energy is Ek=1/2 x m x v2

    the kinetic energy is 988175.39 joules

    an equivalent handgun firing at a typical 800fps would have what size bullet?

    988175.39 = 1/2 x m x 800 x 800

    answer is 3.088 kilograms = 6.81 pounds

    that's a hand cannon indeed

    more math, a liter bike traveling at 185mph is the equivalent of what speed for a 3400 pound car?

    450 lb bike + 180 lb rider + 25 lb gear = 655 pounds

    655 pounds = 297.10 kilograms

    185mph = 82.695 meters per second

    kinetic energy is 1015853.68 joules

    answer is 36.26 meters per second = 81.22 mph

    somebody check my math, it's early in the morning and no coffee yet...

    I agree with cars being deadly weapons.. I didn't check your math but I'm sure its right or close enough. The numbers seem reasonable.

    The only thing I have to add to the convo is the impulse (say hitting a wall or something hard) for all of these objects is going to be different. If we are talking about hitting a person, then I would say we could pretty much ignore impulse.

  4. Exception to the rule. Those boys are badass. They get paid for those videos

    :D No doubt, I love watching those big ass Goldwings dragging pipes and floorboards and who knows what.

  5. Yes I agree with you, but in some circles an excellent rider who decides not to wear protective pants is labeled a squid.

    :werd: One of my friends is this way. He quit riding a few years ago...great rider but only wore a helmet, jeans, sometimes gloves, and no jacket.:( I hope I can get him back on a bike someday when he can afford it...hopefully with the proper gear.

    I think all your options could be considered a squid.

  6. I hate getting harassed by cops so my plate goes on the fender. Well, I used to just keep it ziptied on the fender but in nearly fell off a couple times. I rode around without a plate for a few days (kept forgetting to put it on) without issue though. Of course as soon as I spent the extra cash to get those sweet reflector bolts and put them on, the bike get's stolen. :nono:

    For those of you who have them mounted on your swing arms, do you have a license plate light? Like those light bolts or whatever? Don't you need a light to be legal?

  7. YOU BASTID:beating:

    :lol: Ok, I was halfway joking and halfway serious. It's no secret I'm a Honda fan (we'll ignore my Kawi indiscretions) and Suzuki hater :wink: but that really is part of the problem with 750 that none of the other big 3 are making one.
