  1. yeah, I just want to get the best bang for my buck... i've heard good things about all three choices.. I'm planning on taking the bike to the pony and having them do the dismount/swap/balance/remount... and I know if they do it ya gotta buy the tires there...

Understandable...have you checked out any of the cruiser forums to see what kind of mileage ppl are getting out of these tires? I'm with Gregg, get whichever tires lasts the longest.

  2. They featured Thurman's on the Columbus episode of Man vs. Food on Travel Channel (LOVE that show :D) I've been meaning to stop by that place ever since...

Hey! I saw that episode, too. What's the name of the place that has the Dagwood?

  3. I am a cruiser guy with very little advise other than the one with new plastic and no title was probably wrecked and salvaged. It is a real @%@# to convert a salvage title to a "real title".

Doubtful. Not many places will finance a salvage/rebuilt titled bike and being that he has a lien on the title I believe his story.

  4. For anybody thinking about heading out east, I was just down 715 today and the road is looking pretty rough. That's one of my favorite little stretches to run down and I'm sure it will just be patched this year. Also, it's close to being flooded over with all the rain.

  5. Thanks all. I went to KC's house and picked his up. It took me 10 seconds once I got home to get it off. :woo:

Damn them stockers are WAY over torqued. That had to be near 250 ft.lbs +!

I was helping my buddy rebuild his snowmobile engine last week and we almost gave up getting the clutch off. I had my Craftsman Pro impact (~700ft.lbs. max) cranked up to 120 psi (max is 90psi) to get it off. The impact bent the clutch tool into an 's' shape....the clutch tool is a 5/16 grade 8 bolt.

i can lift alot more than i weigh. but i did try that also (i jumped on it until i thought i was gonna start breaking shit)

+1 I don't weigh shit so I always have to wedge myself for better leverage to undo really tough bolts/nuts. Putting my weight on it is nothing... It's frustrating as hell when you go to undo a bolt and you lift yourself off the ground instead of budging the bolt..

  6. It doesn't bother me "so much" I was just commenting on how silly it is to leave comments like that. I'm not sure i'm fond of the whole rep concept in general, but if you have enough of a problem with someone's post that you actually go through the effort of giving them bad rep you should say something other than "gay". Just my opinion

    +1
