Damn. I feel sorry for that kid once he/she realized how they were born. I mean, if I were that child and realized what a freak I am in my early teen years..... I'd just off myself right in front of my parents as an ultimate punishment they would live with forever for trying to manipulate nature and society. Damn!
Damn you stevan!! You should tell me when you're going out. You told me you were leaving your bike in storage unless you went for a LONG trip. I'm out every nice day now so you better call me when you're coming out. I'm living on campus now and both of my roommates are on bikes. I'll catch up with you later.
That is a good possibility. If you wanna chill in Cbus for a few hours after the dyno session, I'll be off work at 5 and ready to go. If you wanna take your route back to dayton, we're game for that. Let me know if you're willing to hang around till then. Amy will be at the apartment too so you may be able to catch her to kill some time before we head out.
Have I ridden with you?? If not, damn, lets go hit the twisties sometime. And for the any of the track guys out there, JIM, I'll be back on for track days once I pick up a track bike come May. It's been a while since I've gone, but damn I'm anxious to work my bike the way it wants me to.
Don't hate cuz my bike screams. Nick let me know when you're in columbus, I'm heading to dayton around 6 if you wanna meet up for the ride back on saturday. I wanna meet up with some people from dayton for a good ride sunday morning.
The bike is turbine powered, but not thrust driven. The result of the turbine still causes a lag between throttle movement and response from the bike. In theory the bike should accelerate more as the speed increases due to increased intake flow, but eventually aerodynamic drag overpowers the bike. Fd= -.5p(v^2)CA. -just being a tool.
Hey guys, I know I met a bunch of you riders up at bike night yesterday and got to match a few old familiar faces to ORDN names. But who are the rest of you up there? All a good bunch of guys, but didn't recognize any of you from previous rides or the forum. Can I get a few shout outs?
good to see another rider in the area. I live just a mile north of campus and both of my roommates are on bikes. You're welcome to join us anytime. You can normally find us parked in front of Baker Systems building on campus during the day. This weekend is screaming for good riding.
Well, I've been rebuilding the bike and it's 99% complete but 100% ready to ride. Anybody want to head out tomorrow evening or do I hear plans for bike night. I'm off work at 7 and itching to play.
I've saved myself from a collision several times without it being a "close call" but this is the first time I didn't have any "good" way out. There were a lot of factors in the situation and I'm still trying to run it through my head how I could have better handled it. I still think I got out the best way possible.
I thought about it, except for the cars coming through the intersection. Then I would have hit the side of a car and been sited for it. I didn't have too many options. I thought about running it though.
yeah, I'm waiting to see what the injury settlement looks like. I have suffered primarily soft tissue damage, nothing looks very long term. As for the motorcycle damage claim, the bike is going to be fixed 100% and adding a set of galespeed type R wheels and my drivetrain upgrade. I thought about keeping this as a project and buying a 600 for the track, but I want my 1K for the street ASAP and I can wait a little longer for my track bike.... like when the track days start.
Well, I'm about to begin rebuilding my bike. So far the insurance company has been pretty good. They didn't total the bike after all. I should be back on the road in about 3 weeks or less. Can't wait.
I've been to a doctor already and got X-rays taken. I will provide a final outcome when the settlement is made. Can't say too much about it right now. Ultimately, I think things will work out just right in the end.
